Why did you mention not to use Woocommerce for memberships? Is there a different recommendation? I'm looking at using ARMember or Ultimate Membership Pro.
Also, would you know of a great plugin where members can schedule themselves for appointment(s) and you can limit the number of appointments they are allowed to schedule in a given time period?
This is an extremely important feature and i am also looking for the plugin that does it. I just bought ARmember but it does not have this feature. I am still figuring out to set it up and having some problems with it.
For those asking about Woocommerce, he probably meant don't use it if you are only looking for a membership plugin. Woocommerce was built with the idea of an e-commerce store in mind. Sure you can buy the Memberships add-on, but you are still loading unnecessary piles of garbage from the parent plugin that will eat up all of your resources and in turn slow your site down. Additionally, if you are willing to paying $200 / year for the membership add-on anyway, you could easily get a lightweight plugin to do it better. I don't see it here, but I've integrated Memberful using its wordpress plugin for 10+ clients. There's a free version but I would recommend the $25/month plan any day.
The huge advantage of Ultimate Membership Pro and ARMember vs. MemberPress is that Ultimate Membership Pro and ARMember both have LIFETIME updates for only :$43-49 for the FULL-featured plugin. In contrast MemberPress is $150 every year for life.
Hi Darrel, I have worked around with Booked thoroughly, if we have 2 types of services both served by same person/employee, booked does not automatically the time slot and the chance of double booking is always there. Moreover, I like Amelia because, they have an option to showcase it like a catalogue / landing page to showcase all available events and appointment booking. Do comment your views.

Can you do an updated video about wordpress speed load? With all these plugins speed is becoming a weakness with high bounce rates. Maybe theme choice, hosting provider, plugins, and size play a big role in speed load. Am even thinking about stopping to use wordpress and making a custom landing page for that reason. Update: I found a couple videos but no one video talking about all causes mentioned.

Reason being that I operate a furniture e-com store where the members are designers who will use my site 3D design tool and than check out after their client confirm the design scheme. They will get a commission from the purchase of the products. So they would need to create their "membership" and when they use my site and sells something they get a commission on my woocommerce site. Which one of the above plugins should I use?

When a booking plugin has their own integration like bookly, its ALOT more cleaner and easier for users to navigate the website with a more simpler checkout process.

Do you know of any plugins that restrict the number of posts a member/subscriber can put up? This could be anything from the amount within a time span (weekly/Monthly) or the amount they can post at any given time, where if they had reached their maximum amount (let's say 50)and they wanted to put up another post. In this case they would have to now remove a post or upgrade to a new plan that allowed them to post more. I have seen a few that have not been updated for a couple of years, but beyond that, I've not been able to find any.

The problem of Paid Membership Pro is that you have to manually set protection for every page or post. If your website is large, then changing settings is going to be a huge task.

Sometimes people make websites with membership stuff but aren't willing to gain money from that !!! It's bs that you don't want to show something because you assume everyone who makes membership stuff own a store of some kind. I manage the website of a school our money comes from different sources the website is there to support the students who are unable to attend the courses and need to check out the news relative to their field of studies. But we need a restrictive approach. If you're not a member you can't access the platform.

Calvin could of been good, but i kept selecting an option that logged me out as an admin without knowing which one...so no more access to my dashboard..pain in the ass to get back. Admin had to reset my admin rights

Calvin i switched to « paid member subscriptions » and got the middle 69$ paid update. For the price, it’s decent and very easy to use. But it’s basic compared to these 200$ plus plugins. But it does the job done. You should try it. Good luck!

I'm having massive problems with PrivateContent.
It's documentation is minimal and there are basically zero tutorials anywhere!
No walkthroughs... nothing!
I basically need something entirely simple... A members only section with login/logout capabilities. It is not a paid membership either... no e-commerce, just some restricted content.
Are Ultimate MemberShip Pro or MemberPress good options?
What do you recommend?
I would need a subscription service - plus subscriber should be able to buy "credits" for extra service. What Plugin would offer this? Any thoughts?

I think the free version of Paid Membership Pro has a payment Gateway integration.
The problem of Paid Membership Pro is that you have to manually set protection for every page or post. If your website is large, then changing settings is going to be a huge task.

Can you use the Envato’s regular license for Ultimate Membership Pro? Or are you forced to pay the Extended license which costs $499 PER website?

you can do this with any plugin, however, you will need a developer to help modify

Sometimes people make websites with membership stuff but aren't willing to gain money from that !!! It's bs that you don't want to show something because you assume everyone who makes membership stuff own a store of some kind.
I manage the website of a school our money comes from different sources the website is there to support the students who are unable to attend the courses and need to check out the news relative to their field of studies. But we need a restrictive approach. If you're not a member you can't access the platform.

Hey Darrel. I have a business and want to start offering online classes. My main concern is that clients can exchange login info and share memberships. Do any of these plugin limit that?

Never use the avmember plugin...crashed my hole dashboard. Tried hours to recuperate without success.
You mean the armember plugin? It's no good?
Calvin could of been good, but i kept selecting an option that logged me out as an admin without knowing which one...so no more access to my dashboard..pain in the ass to get back. Admin had to reset my admin rights

Calvin i switched to « paid member subscriptions » and got the middle 69$ paid update. For the price, it’s decent and very easy to use. But it’s basic compared to these 200$ plus plugins. But it does the job done. You should try it. Good luck!
