I apologize for making it about me Did I get so much joy out of your videos and your presence You done an awesome job On the camper renovation Happy campaigning
I just picked up an old pop up truck camper that needs some cleaning up. I like your ideas, thanks for sharing them, well done. That door with the "Adventure Awaits" is outstanding.
I missed buying that used Sun Lite, but one like it is still on my list. If you are still interested in doing videos, an update on changes, successes, and problems you encountered would be very interesting 😃. Take care and stay safe.
Hey Ash I have a Sun-lite pop up truck camper up too, mine is for an 8ft bed, it is the eagle model, and I have been working on mine to enjoy this fall when it cools down. I have repaired my screens cause they were really bad...I dont like sleeping with bugs!!..and would share how to do it with you if you want. I also have the paperwork and instructions on the camper if you would like a copy I could scan them and send them to your e-mail..I will try to do a video on mine and share it to my you tube channel as soon as I can.. I really enjoyed your video, good luck on your remodel... thanks for sharing!
It sounds like you are going to put this mid-size truck camper on a full size truck as am I. I need to build a platform to raise it up enough to clear the cab and bed sides. If I do the platform right, I can store some stuff under the camper either with just an opening or a drawer if I get fancy. Yeah, a lot of room in those bottom openings to the bed.
@@AshlynnKP Yes. I will let you know. Good to find a few people to share Sun Lite ideas. Getting a bit ahead of myself, as I need to travel to see the one for sale. I need a platform and jack extensions just to load it up if I buy it, because my full size truck is wider too. First platform setup will just be 2x4s upright at center and both camper edges, with plywood on top, then blocks to keep the camper centered and keep the platform from moving around. I want to see height above the cab, watch how the platform or camper moves around to determine where I need extra blocks, and see if I need any back parts to the platform to keep open the back of the platform for storage. So a bit of experimentation. Worse case is I can bolt down the platform to the bed or build it to the bottom of the camper for strength, and that would work perfectly - maybe a better starting point instead of playing around. Thanks again for the tour!
Kind of sad that you put a lot of work into it and selling it. I seen your ad on Facebook and looked up a video of the camper on here. I was thinking the whole video that it looked a lot like the ad and then I went back and looked at the pictures lol.
Yeah, I'm also sad to be selling it but someone will get good use out of it I hope! I plan to get another camper in the future though, something that'll be a little bit more made for my truck or what not :)
Hello ash you did a awesome job 👍 on your camper Have you taken it camping And what size truck do you have I'm just wondering because I been looking at truck camper for full time living For the pass month Enjoy your day and happy camping ✌️🌻
I ended up selling it to upgrade as the camper didn't fit my truck. I never got to take it camping but I feel as though it would've been an amazing experience! :)
I was given a sunlite camper and that sparked my interest in who else had an older one. Nice job!!

That's what I was hoping to do but my dad and I haven't fully figured it out yet. If you end up making it i'd love to see it!
