Best of luck to you. I would rather live poor in a place I love then be rich in a place I hate. With that much space what reason would you have to go anywhere. Hunting, camping, hiking. All right there. Lots of wood for fuel sources etc. Live the dream my friends.
Wow! YOU'RE 2nd sentence sums it all up!! Rather live poop in a place I love!! Boom! Nicely said, thank you for joining us, we looking forward to lots of hard challenges but also some successes along the way! Have a great weekend!
I've never seen a video from your channel, but YT got it right for me-born in Kansas City, Missouri. A friend of mine went to Rollo and loved the area until the day he died. I just had to stop and see what your channel is all about. Good luck, and God Bless!
Thank you! I hope so! I try to look ahead a few years and as long as we don't go bankrupt I think it will be a great place to live, enjoy the outdoors and have some family and friends enjoy it as well! Cheers!
Yeah so much for 'downsizing' in your aging!! But hey, its a geothermal system (true water system) so it should be cheap to heat and cool. Hopefully! He told me the electric bills were about half of what my current one is.
Thank you! Of course I may second guess at times, its human nature but I'm pretty confident this is a great place to live. Wish it could have been cheaper, but you do get what you pay for. This land is stunning, and the home is very meticulous, even though it's very lived in at the moment.
Welcome to Missouri neighbor. I’m about 2 hours NW of ya. The Ozarks is beautiful country. You’ll like it here. Good luck. I bought just under 70 acres four years ago. Looks a lot like yours.
Nice place. We done this in IL and it’s our forever farm now. If we are blessed with the ability to own ground we are responsible to leave it better than we found it. 27 years later I feel we have. Enjoy!
Thanks so much, very scary with the high numbers and massive payments but as long as we can make it work, the dirty green paper does not matter as much as enjoying the land under your feet every day.
Man, thank you, but it's going to be quite the battle just getting there! But we're trying to look ahead, 2 yrs, 5, 10 and more. But I look forward to getting it done!
So cool! Good call on the Taxinois!!! We are all transplants in one form or another! But we at least still have the freedom and choice left to make a move even though we usually will lose money on the deal!! Freedom is not free or easy! Thanks
Been watching this series first all I can say is WOW ! I hope you get it looks like a great place ! And I look forward to the rest of the videos! The Garden Gnome approves!
lol thanks Gnome!! It was a HUGE chunk to bite off, but we'll take small bites and over time try to love it and work some magic! There's not doubt it's a magical property !! Have a good weekend.
It sure is, so much for downsizing!! But it is an incredibly special place for sure, with a lot of attention to detail, and massive costs on that home. Heck, that 200a power line alone is probably well into six figures. Thanks
Well congrats and remember your motto: Life's Short!! And speaking of that--you actually wont have to worry about living long enuf to pay off the mortgage---as long as you continue to make the payments.
Yes sir, that was always my plan all along. I don't mind passing on with a big mortgage. That is how you get what you want while you are still alive. And if I go first Sharon will have some decisions to make, but if land continues to appreciate, then I'm sure 280 acres will be worth more years down the road. Thanks man, and yeah it is short. Just lost another friend lived right up the road here, my age.
I just subscribed and am looking forward to watching how you develop the property. I also want to buy some land in southern Missouri in a couple of years when I retire. I'm looking for less land, though, about 30 to 80 acres with a mix of timber and pasture land. Watching you as you develop the land will give me ideas!
Does the cat come with the house? It sure seems to enjoy being there. Great house! I’m looking forward to seeing more of the property. This one doesn’t look like some of the others you’ve looked at that had a lot of work to do outside
lol I sure hope they don't leave the cat! We have prim still if she survives the whole move and things! This is a nice home with a lot of attention to detail and BIG investments made in the building process. That was what really caught my attention. Even at 200/sq ft to build that, you'd be over a million..
I was skeptical of the price on the last post but after the house tour I think you got one hell of a deal. Seems like that house on a small lot would not be that far out of line.
yeah to build this home would cost more than this I believe. This is a one of a kind home and farm, so you are going to pay more. But I believe that over time we will enjoy life there and it will appreciate. Thanks
My husband and I just found you and can't wait to see what you do with the property. My question is, will they clean it out or will you have to? They have a lot of stuff!!
I don't know how you tolerated that cat ... That cat wouldn't have been in that house. I like to geothermal heat pump!! Not a bad looking house has character!
Hope you like living alone…you’ll ALWAYS be an “outsider”. If they volunteer to “help” you, it’s only because they’re incredibly nosy. They will never need help from you; you’re an “outsider”.
You are 12 miles from me in Phelps County very close to the Gasconade River. I know some of the neighbors down there. If you get the deal done and are looking for someone to mow the pastures or bail the hay I would be very interested interested in speaking with you or just wanted to talk to someone in the area please feel free to contact me. I have followed you for a few years in your adventures in southern Illinois. Have a great day and good luck.
wrong! I disagree! We are not like the commies from California. There are a LOT of conservative folks from rural areas. States like MO will only get more red!
If you actually did do a deal where you have a shared driveway, you just made the mistake of your lifetime and soon you will find out and I’m talking from experience
How much work will it take to pay for it
I've never seen a video from your channel, but YT got it right for me-born in Kansas City, Missouri. A friend of mine went to Rollo and loved the area until the day he died.
I just had to stop and see what your channel is all about.
Good luck, and God Bless!
Thank you! It is a beautiful area for sure! I love the hills and valleys and creeks! Hopefully we can get this deal all the way done!
Beautiful house and property, Kap, your patience paid off
Thank you! I hope so! I try to look ahead a few years and as long as we don't go bankrupt I think it will be a great place to live, enjoy the outdoors and have some family and friends enjoy it as well! Cheers!
A beautiful place, can't wait for the property tour. The room with the fireplace is bigger than my house, LOL!
Yeah so much for 'downsizing' in your aging!! But hey, its a geothermal system (true water system) so it should be cheap to heat and cool. Hopefully! He told me the electric bills were about half of what my current one is.
Looks beautiful….. good job not pulling the trigger sooner. This one appears worth the wait. Congrats !!
Thank you! Of course I may second guess at times, its human nature but I'm pretty confident this is a great place to live. Wish it could have been cheaper, but you do get what you pay for. This land is stunning, and the home is very meticulous, even though it's very lived in at the moment.
Good luck Kapper. Can’t wait to see what you are able to accomplish with this beautiful project.
Thanks! One day at a time, one small mission at a time! But eventually we will get there! Have a great weekend
Awe - give that beautiful cat some love!!
lol I gave him a few pets, but yeah he was attention hungry!
Welcome to Missouri neighbor. I’m about 2 hours NW of ya. The Ozarks is beautiful country. You’ll like it here. Good luck. I bought just under 70 acres four years ago. Looks a lot like yours.
Awesome! Thank you! It is beautiful and very rugged country for sure! Best of luck with your farm!!
Outstanding
Nice place. We done this in IL and it’s our forever farm now. If we are blessed with the ability to own ground we are responsible to leave it better than we found it. 27 years later I feel we have. Enjoy!
That is awesome! We have left every property that we've had in much better shape than what we got it! Good stuff, thanks!
I grew up near this area of Missouri. Grandparents lived in Gasconade Co for many years. Grandpa logged for years.
Great tour, looks like a beautiful place. Congrats Joe & Sharon!
Thanks so much, very scary with the high numbers and massive payments but as long as we can make it work, the dirty green paper does not matter as much as enjoying the land under your feet every day.
Cannot wait to see what you have in store for your new land
Man, thank you, but it's going to be quite the battle just getting there! But we're trying to look ahead, 2 yrs, 5, 10 and more. But I look forward to getting it done!
Welcome to Missouri!!! A transplant from Taxinois, I mean Illinois, myself. Have two tracts in the same county. Absolutely love the area!
So cool! Good call on the Taxinois!!! We are all transplants in one form or another! But we at least still have the freedom and choice left to make a move even though we usually will lose money on the deal!! Freedom is not free or easy! Thanks
Your in my neck of the woods now! Congrats!!
Awesome it's a beautiful area thank you!
I’m at the other end of the state . We called the tri-state area. The old Mississippi just east of me 20 miles
I feel so sorry for that poor cat. I hope someone can adopt the cat. And love for the house and property.
In missouri, they do have a adoption clinic call coyotes r us!!🤣🤣 jk
Welcome to Missouri!! Enjoy!!
Hope so! We still have not finalized this deal!! Thank you
@@KapperOutdoors2.0 good luck you two!!
What an amazing property!
It is! Thanks, we'll see how the deal progresses!

Thanks man, it is a beautiful place! Sharon was saying she'll miss the waterfalls but I bet theres bigger ones here! Much steeper on a few ridges!
Congratulations Joe and Sharon!
Thanks man! So how far away did we end up from you? You were SW MO right?
Been watching this series first all I can say is WOW !
I hope you get it looks like a great place ! And I look forward to the rest of the videos! The Garden Gnome approves!
lol thanks Gnome!! It was a HUGE chunk to bite off, but we'll take small bites and over time try to love it and work some magic! There's not doubt it's a magical property !! Have a good weekend.
Good luck Joe and Sharon.
Thanks man. Did you see the elevator? Just like you said!!
Man Kapp, place is huge, lots of up keep. Congrats
It sure is, so much for downsizing!! But it is an incredibly special place for sure, with a lot of attention to detail, and massive costs on that home. Heck, that 200a power line alone is probably well into six figures. Thanks
good luck my friend
Thank you we'll need it along the way!
Congrats guys God bless you all......
Thanks man, much appreciated! We can use all we can get for this one! Have a good one
Hopefully it works out for you guys! Nice property!
There will be many uphill challenges with moving as much as we've got but we'll take it one small chunk at a time. Life is a journey! Thanks
wow, looks great Kapper
We'll see what happens, its going to be a long road. Hope all is well Joey and co!!
@KapperOutdoors2.0 we are doing OK, got a barn on our property now, also had a well drilled and septic going in. It's been busy.
Excited to see this. Looking for my own farm in MO.
Thanks! Well it is one of the more 'free' states! Hence why we are planning on moving! Best of luck on your land search and journey!
Well congrats and remember your motto: Life's Short!! And speaking of that--you actually wont have to worry about living long enuf to pay off the mortgage---as long as you continue to make the payments.

Congrats- beautiful spot
Thank you! It is a beautiful farm!
Nice looking property!
Can't wait to explore more of it!! Thanks man have a great weekend!
Congratulations! At the other end of the state. North west of Hannibal 45 minutes.
Love a beautiful free state with mountains and freedom! Thanks
good luck Kapper
Thanks we'll need it!!
Man that house is rough. Maybe a 4/10, good luck with the project!
Well Sharon is great with rehabs! And we both love the land!
I just subscribed and am looking forward to watching how you develop the property. I also want to buy some land in southern Missouri in a couple of years when I retire. I'm looking for less land, though, about 30 to 80 acres with a mix of timber and pasture land. Watching you as you develop the land will give me ideas!
Awesome! Thanks for joining us! This is truly a once in a lifetime adventure! I am looking forward to getting after it! Thanks!
Sure wish we could have seen a few more miles of driving on the roads!
I'll take it as a joke, but if you'd like I can sure add more in!!
Does the cat come with the house? It sure seems to enjoy being there. Great house! I’m looking forward to seeing more of the property. This one doesn’t look like some of the others you’ve looked at that had a lot of work to do outside

Poor cat is like what are all of these people doing in my house and why aren't they paying attention to me!
Thanks
Congratulations good luck on your next property look forward to seeing your future videos ! Are you close to Phil’s place?
Thank you! Yes, we'll be like 45 mins apart!! Hopefully we can get together regularly!!
Home run!!
I hope so! We'll see as time goes on, but it is an amazing farm!! Thanks have a good one
My husband and I just found you and can't wait to see what you do with the property. My question is, will they clean it out or will you have to? They have a lot of stuff!!
Well we've bought flip homes that we had to clean everything out of!! Guess time will tell! Thanks!
C0ngrats man!
Thanks! Now everything really has to fall into place for it to happen for real! But things are looking good!
May the Blessings b abundant on ur journey
Thank you, this is a big leap of faith!!
Beautiful. These are the one I skip bc I can’t afford them 😂
Understandable, and hopefully in a few years I don't say I should have skipped! lol. More expensive than I wanted but it is a beautiful place! Thanks
A very beautiful property sounds like to much confusion on the deal .
What song is that playing?
Did you take RT E to RT Y to get on camp creek road.
yep. That's the area!
Boy that place is what I call in the sticks. Quite away from the city.
Yes it sure is. But its actually closer to a decent city than we are now. 20 mins to town :)
Wow nice property 😂
High ceilings, low floors...LOL.
With a little work that place could be super nice! But I do have to question....Why are you walking around the house with only one sock on?! ha
OH SNAP!! You saw that!!? LOL I stepped in a glue trap!! And had to chuck the sock!! Good eyes!! I didn't even pay attention to that when editing!!
What state did you move from?
moving from IL
Kapper wants some of those low Missouri taxes. Look like a nice spread.
You know it! And yeah it is a beautiful farm! Thanks!
👀👀
I don't know how you tolerated that cat ... That cat wouldn't have been in that house. I like to geothermal heat pump!! Not a bad looking house has character!
Oh that geothermal is just the least of it! This guy had a vision to be self sufficient!! My kind of homestead!
Hope you like living alone…you’ll ALWAYS be an “outsider”. If they volunteer to “help” you, it’s only because they’re incredibly nosy. They will never need help from you; you’re an “outsider”.
what's your point here??
Pretty sure everyone is an 'outsider' if you just use logic and reason..
Bigfoot territory
You are 12 miles from me in Phelps County very close to the Gasconade River. I know some of the neighbors down there. That's awesome man I appreciate it send me an email if you get a minute with your contact info. Thanks

I love how everybody moves here because they're tired of their state and their bulshit but yet they bring the bulshit here
wrong! I disagree! We are not like the commies from California. There are a LOT of conservative folks from rural areas. States like MO will only get more red!
If you actually did do a deal where you have a shared driveway, you just made the mistake of your lifetime and soon you will find out and I’m talking from experience
Man I hope you are wrong! But I do know if horror stories. Guess we'll see how things progress and how the easement and access is going to work out!
