    Talk to local Rabbit rescues. Many people there can also diagnose common problems for a small donation or even free. This advise should be verified afterwards by local vets of course. I have 4 buns. Each has to get dental work approximately every 6 months. The vet will physically show me the problem and the cost is around $500 per rabbit per visit. I had to try 3 different vets before I found the most knowledgeable one, they also let me sit in on each exam. I wouldn't trust one that doesn't.
    Beautiful Lop, so full of expression, good job rabbit parenting!

      Agreed! People at local shelters are so knowledgeable about rabbits! I also take my bunny there for grooming service.

    I brought a French lop bunny, didn’t know about these problems beforehand. I have spend tons of money on vet bills every two months. Has to have his teeth filed down every two months, often has ear infections as well, and has now the onset of arthritis in his back area. Always have medication on hand for him. He’s four years old and the problems started when he was six months old. A normal vet bill for me every two months is around two hundred pounds. But have spent up to six hundred before. My bunny is very expensive

      My bunny is only 2 years old but I already spend thousands on the vet bills. When he becomes senior, I'm sure there will be more health issues. I Need to save some money for the future!! 💵💷

    My first rabbit was the cutest tamest little bundle of fluff ever. I used to snuggle up to her in my bed and sleep with her. She used to eat out my hands and let me kiss and stroke her face. she once jumped up and licked all the tears off my face when I was crying!!!! I remember all the kids who visited her wanted a little rabbit of their own!

    I understand your feelings my bunny had all these symptoms and I was worrying and searching for answers just like you. Fastforward 2 years later and thousands of dollars poorer after going to several exo vet clinics with no answers, all of a sudden she dies after rushing her to the emergency vet hospital the same day. They did nothing despite her critical state with struggled breathing and seizures except a regular heartbeat, tummy squeeze, weighing and charged me $ 400 for letting her die without any treatments or answers one hour after we arrived at the emergency. All I have now is a broken heart 💔 that is full of her memories 💔

    • @tutumoonland
      @tutumoonland  Рік тому +2

      As a rabbit owner, I empathize with the frustration and helplessness you must have felt. Waiting anxiously outside animal hospitals, spending thousands of dollars for their well-being, and in the end, no miracle occurred... I feel that even rabbit-savvy vets can sometimes struggle to make the correct judgments. Rabbits are mysterious and fragile creatures, and you did everything you could. I sincerely hope you feel better now.

    • @try2justbe
      @try2justbe Рік тому +2

      @tutumoonland thank for your kind words. But I can't understand why they never treated her for earinfection despite all the symptoms and my suspension. their reason was that she didn't have any visible discharge/fluid or waxy debris in the outer ear canals. Although it could be deeper than that, they never made the effort and didn't do the tests I asked for. So I gave up and stopped going to the vet until she suddenly after 10 months started getting seizures and passed away. I can't help but think about all the suffering she went through during all these missed chances/vet visits that could have been avoided. And maybe she would be alive today if they listened to me and did their job. I live in Sweden btw.

    • @tutumoonland
      @tutumoonland  Рік тому +1

      @@try2justbe I just discussed Snowman's ear infection with my vet today! She noticed the presence of waxy debris in his ears but suggested leaving it alone. Her concern is that using ear drops could potentially impact his ear drum and lead to head tilting.
      I had another rabbit who passed away suddenly, and I think of her from time to time. In my religion, we believe in the concept of reincarnation. I always pray for her, hoping that she's healthier and being spoiled by her new owners in her new life. Perhaps your angel bunny is having a great time in heaven or enjoying a wonderful new life on earth right now!🥰😀😊🐇🐰

    I really wanted a lop but I ended up getting a Lionhead. Thinking of bonding her with another but I told the rescue only straight ears just because I have heard about the chronic ear infections with lops. Sorry your bun has had a few health concerns.

    • @tutumoonland
      @tutumoonland  Рік тому +2

      They are cute but I really think that this breed shouldn't exist... 😣😣not only their long ears, their flat faces also cause the dental issues and respiratory diseases.
      But I found some "mix breeds" (lops but with pointed faces )from my local shelter. They might be healthier than pure breeds.
