- This week on Dyl & Friends, I'm joined by Collingwood tall, Mason Cox. I invited Mason on to the show because there's a lot more to the man that just being a sometimes-maligned ruck/forward from the US. Mason was very generous with his time and is incredibly well spoken.
We spoke a lot about his journey to Collingwood from the US, his significant struggles overcoming a major eye injury, his Preliminary final performance against Richmond, and his thoughts on Australian culture.
I can't thank Mason enough for joining me on this episode and I look forward to hearing what you all thought of the chat we got to have.

Bloke In A Bar!
Love these podcasts, seeing the personal side of someone you might not like on the footy field or in the media whether is warranted or not helps you realise that everyone’s just a human like yourself and I always leave the show liking who you have had on just a little bit more!
THIS IS EVERYTHING 💕
Mason’s story and the way he can convey his story is unbelievable, I think his post on field footy career will be just as impactful and special as what he’s already produced, big ups. His words about your progression and transition into the media are not wrong Dyl🙏🏼
Playing awesome footy in the vfl Mason, i really believe there is a final chapter to your story. You will play seniors this week and your in great form, kick some ass this week!
Best on ground v Melbourne.
@Musicbox Entertainment sorry for being rite my guy. Mason has actually put on a fair amount of muscle this last 12 months and he’s super fit. He will never be a superstar but on he’s Day and he’s day might be once every 10 games he’s a match winner
@Musicbox Entertainment his last match winning game was last week bud.
Collingwood fan, I’ve always liked coxy as a bloke, he’s not the greatest player going around but he’s a top lad
Coxy was always going to be challenging. AFL is hard. Being a “big man” in AFL is hard. It takes time to mature and figure out what the player will be.
I feel Coxy has been a success, but not as successful as we would like.
I've never been to OZ, but became a Collingwood supporter in 2013. Aussie Rules, the best team sport on planet earth.
Seen Big Cox out at Chappel street one time and had a good laugh with him. Top bloke.
Great insight once again Dyl.
Up the baggers
Amazing podcast. Incredible to hear his story. What a great journey so far.

Great guy, great interview
❤ Thanks Mason, my teacher.❤
Wow actually first time listening to Mason because I wasn't really interested in him because he's not the greatest player plus the media. But this guy is really down to earth dude very professional too
