- The Australian Dental Council (ADC) written examination for dentists is a computer-delivered examination designed to test the international Dentist candidate’s knowledge of the science and practice of dentistry. The examination also assesses the application of clinical judgment and reasoning skills relevant to dental practice in Australia. In this Podcast on Aspire32, Dr. Suresh Shenvi is discussing the same with Dr. Raghavendra Shenoy which did his BDS in India and then after 10 years of practice as a General Dentist, he cleared the ADC exam and now currently practicing in Australia. In this podcast, Dr. Dr. Raghavendra Shenoy is explaining the initial process, the exams, the expenses, the ways one can prepare for the exam, visa, and job opportunities for an international dentist after getting the license to practice dentistry in Australia.
This video of Aspire 32 is made by Dr. Suresh Shenvi who has cleared various exams like ADAT, NBDE from the USA, DHA from Dubai, and various Indian Entrance exams like PGI, KCET, NEET. I am MDS in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics by profession. I am also an author of dental books on the entrance exam and I am also currently a faculty at KLE University and a receiver of best teacher award.

I m good theoritically i can clear adc part 1 but for part 2 i m scared becoz that is practical exam how to pass that ?
It was very helpful. Thank you.
can you tell us what are the options for master in dentistry in Australia once you're qualified with ADC exam?
You can apply for Master's (3years full time)after Completion of two years of GP in Australia .
Once you are registered as a specialist you can't practice GP only have to focus on the speciality.
We need to give IELTS also and how much score
Which visa will I choose for part 2 exam??
I am an ADC student. And an Australian citizen too
My honest opinion is this exam is very very unpredictable and highly finically challenging if you have reason to migrate to Australia then go for it. Otherwise, a rough estimate for this exam is 40 thousand dollars 💰
And I personally know a few of those who have spend more than $80K but couldn't pass.
And the reason is not that they don't know but criteria are changing every 6months
It's not demotivating but ground reality.
Rest is your luck 🙏
Hi Deepika. Thank you for sharing the experience. In the 2nd Part Dr Shenoy has mention that many people do struggle with the exam too. We are just presenting the individual experience in the podcast. I understand its a difficult path
@@Aspire32 thanks for sharing. I always watched your videos and I have taken few tips from you as well when studying for my MDS in India.
But i felt no one should leave a settled life in India just for this exam as it's not worth it.
I left my government job in Jammu and came here; I have faced racism because of which my part 1 exam which I cleared for withheld as well though I cleared it in the end.
So it was my genuine suggestion
One should think more about the negative side than the positive.
As it involves a lot of MONEY.
@@deepika786100 hi deepika ! can you tell me how cost can reach upto 40k..?
@@puneetkashyap4343 yeah the entire material what given on ADC SITE IS WORTH 15k then you have to buy teeth which is for 7 k ( one endo tooth is for $30)
Then exam cost is 5k
Plus coaching is 7-10 k
Loops is for 3 k
This is all minimum which I have spent and then if you need more 🦷 teeth or anything else. It can increase
Like people take 2 coachings etc.
Thanks deepika :)
Hello sir..where can I get therapeutic guidelines book ? Which u mentioned in the video...?
Did you find it??
thanks for the info,really helpful,
