Jamie, I know firsthand how it feels to watch your young dog transition into an older dog. It’s always the hardest part of having a beloved animal by your side for so many years. Love and treasure every moment. And I know you do!💕
I second this. We had a 14year old, much loved, labrador called Monty. At 14 he had to be finally put down in the middle of lockdown in May 2020. Our lovely vet came out to the car and he and I did it together in the boot of the estate car. The vet was as distressed as I was, he loved Monty, and he sent me a letter of condoleance afterwards. All I can say is the dog tells you when it is time. Keep doing what you are doing you have, as always, his best interests at heart.
I too know what it's like to have an aging dog. It was hard realizing the 7 mile walks need to shrink to 3 miles then to a quick .5 walk down to a ride around the 7 mile walk zone. Deep sleep is scary cause it's so hard to wake them up. My girl was 15 1/2, She was weak on her back-end So I had to help her up the stairs by lifting her hips with a sling. So happy that Sherpa is enjoying his days the way he wants. Everything you are doing in my book is right. Love your video's 🥰🥰
Please note this is not a Happy Channel but a Channel about life. So please do not feel pressured to make a happy Video when times are rough. You have so many loyal friends and they will stick with you in bad times as well.
I’m going through this transition too. My girl just turned 16 which is old for a lab. Her arthritis is starting to get in her way. She struggles to walk, has hearing and vision issues, no longer plays with her toys but she loves food, loves her people and being in the yard. All we can do is give them the best until we know it’s time… ❤
Me too. My 16 yr old cocker is declining, and her Dementia is getting worse, but she's still eating and walking, so until they stop, we keep moving on everyday. 💜🐶❤️
It is pricey but Deramax gave my dogs several extra good years so he made it to over 21 with his arthritis. My vet takes back the unused meds and gives them for free to people that need them so that is worth asking about as an option. I ended up donating hundreds of dollars of meds when my two dogs passed.
Me too. My 15 year old Maltipoo Leo has arthritis and cataracts. The hardest part is when he isn’t eating well. He still loves his cousins (sister’s dogs), his walks (just not as long), and lots of cuddles. I’m just trying to give him lots of extra love and a great end of life time before living becomes harder than letting go for him.
Don't beat yourself Jamie. You look after Sherpie fantastically. No one could do more. I think short walks, chilling in the garden, and maybe the very occasional trip to the beach are all that he needs now. We are all with you Jamie, please remember that xxxx
Dear Jamie and Sherpa. My old boy Sultan (a German Shepherd) got to his 13th birthday and then everything started hitting him at once. He didn't really want to go on walks Just stay home and laze about. Was on and off his food no matter what I did. Some days he would eat others he wouldn't. When he slept it was a deep sleep. You could of dropped a bomb beside him and he wouldn't hardly of noticed. He was happy having a wander out the back garden and liked to lay by the door. His breathing got heavier. His back legs were going and he wouldn't do stairs without help. He didn't want to get in the car without help either. I know a lot of people won't tell you what's to come and it shook me to the core. He was my dad's boy and my last link to my dad as dad passed away. My boy was my everything. When you've had a lot of furbabies in your life and you've seen how each one has passed away in your arms you learn the signs and can tell when there's not a lot of time left. The one thing you want is someone just to be honest with you. Obviously you'll do everything you can for them. But you also have to be real and prepare yourself best you can because you know there's not long left. You don't know how long, could be days weeks or months. But you know. You see them going down hill bit by bit and it's the hardest thing to watch. It rips your heart out. You don't want to face it and oh they will be fine I'll take them vets and they will give tablets or jabs and they will be fine. But you know in your heart time is not on your side and time is running out. Luckily my vet has known me for years and is honest. He said he hasn't got long enjoy the time you have left. He lived 6 months he had a couple seizures and recovered. But he was never the same. He just wanted to stay home and sleep most of the time. He put a brave face on. But I knew time was running out quicker than I thought it would. He collapsed when we were out on a walk. I screamed for help. A couple of lovely people carried him to the car and I got him to the emergency vet. The team were brilliant. His heart just couldn't take it. We tried for over half an hour but it was no good he crossed rainbow bridge that night. I brought his body home to take him to our vets on the Monday. I carried him in said a final goodbye and left. Apart from my own first gsd. He was the hardest. It felt like I lost him and dad all over again. Although I have my girl now a 2 year old gsd. it's not the same I still look for him and it's been a year and a half. My friends dog started going down hill and I saw the signs. No one would tell her. I did. And it helped prepare her a bit. She said I'm glad you told me, no one else would. It wasn't such a shock. Jamie I hope and pray I'm wrong. I love sherpa to bits and care about you. You and sherpa have taken me on some great adventures. I can't thank you enough for sharing your bond life and adventures with me and everyone else. Please dont take this in a bad way my heart is heavy and I have tears streaming down my face writing this. Call me a bitch or bad person whatever. I don't want you to go through what I did I'm still in pain now. this is ment in the kindest possible way and with love for you both. But please prepare yourself. Ive seen it and been part of it to many times not to know. It breaks my heart to say this. But time is not on your side. Sherpa has the best life any furbaby could wish for with a dad who adores him. A dad who littrtly moved mountains for him to give him the best of everything as he got older. Sherpa was a lucky fella to find you. And you were lucky to find him you've had an amazing life together been to so many places seen so many things and made more special memories than most people only dream of. You two are truly soul mates. It's beautiful to see. Sherpa your a handsome man. Just the way you are. A little Gray a little wobbly a little tired but still full of personality cheeky and sassy. I love you to bits fella. Get your dad to give you a big kiss from me. Or an extra treat. Jamie my heart goers out to you at this difficult time. Watching your baby get old health problems getting worse old ones popping up new ones coming out of nowhere. It's so hard to watch them slow down and not really want to do anything but knowing he will try just to please you. His heart and mind are willing but his body isn't able to keep up with what he wants to do. I know how painful this is to read and I'm so sorry. I truly am. Spoil him rotten enjoy every single day. Make a memory every day. Enjoy the time you have left. But be prepared as that bloody clock is ticking. There's never enough time with them. So make it special. Sending love and hugs from me and Starla from Plymouth U.K. Xx p.s if you need someone to talk to who understands I'm here xx
So sorry for your loss...😢 we lost our Ginger, a Pom, about 2 months ago...😢She was 18 & that was still too short a time for us...did you bring home his ashes? We did & it is a small comfort to us to have a small part of her with us...she is with our 1st Pom, who passed when he was 19...also too short a period of time....😢
So sorry for your loss. 😢 what a wonderful testament to your love for your fur friend. ❤.It will be a sad day for the Sherpa family and Jaimie when our beloved friend passes.
So sorry to hear of your loss. Dogs and other pets really do get right into your heart. You are right about the pet letting you know when it is time to say goodbye. Many a pet has let me know. It is the hardest decision to make, but you have to do it for them, not yourself. And always be there with them on their final adventure ❤
Am so sorry for your loss I lost my cat 3 years ago he was in an RTA we were traumatised as he never went near the road at all and I felt guilty as did my daughter for letting him out that night. We have his ashes they are inside a sleeping cat in my lounge we had visitations of him at the beginning we heard him around the house a lot not so much now but I know he still visits occasionally as I’m sure your beloved dog does too. I wish you peace and comfort
It's hard. But you are so spot on, the end is nearing for Sherp and as much as it hurts to read ( I wouldn't hear it about my boy either ) I agree! I know the signs too well. Its devastating💔
You NEVER need to apologize on behalf of Sherpa. He is a WONDERFUL dog. I'm in America (Pennsylvania) and I've been in America my entire life, and yet I feel attached to Sherpa as if I have known him. You have allowed us to participate (in an observational capacity) with Sherpa his whole life, and I assume that there are MANY more who would agree with me and who are also grateful. I am also very grateful to you, Jamie, for taking such good care of your lovely Sherpa. You have my undying gratitude. Thank you.
Beautiful comment. I’m from Tennessee and I am so attached to Sherpa as if he’s my fur baby. I wish he knew how much he’s loved across the pond. America loves you Sherpa. 💕🐾🇺🇸🇬🇧
Anticipatory grief is something we all go through, but you are doing the right thing in giving Sherpa everything he needs, which is love, healthy food, medicines, and his garden.
I started grieving when my missy began declining over several months and then I cried when she passed at the vets. She she a little over 13 1/2 yrs old. The best most loyal girl I’ve had. I miss her. And my senior cat passed a month before due to cancer so fading on her face. Talk about hard. She was such a beautiful smart pure white cat. And my little one passed a year later of old age. I had to take each of the 3 to the vet to pass peacefully. I have 4 girl dogs. 3 are 3 yrs old and the other is 5. 3 medium and a small. I still miss my other pets
I think Jamie has the right of it, and that he just has to adapt to Sherpy's ongoing, changing status. As far as Sherpa knows, things are normal and pleasant, and he enjoys his life and is happy and is so incredibly well cared for. WE are the ones that worry and agonize.... Jamie has done such a great job staying upbeat to Sherpa, and to not project his worries and fears to him. Sherpa continues to have a wonderful quality of life, albeit a bit slower and deliberate than before, as such a grand old man deserves. He's got a lovely home and garden, and Fort Sherpa to nap in, and a live in chauffeur, chef, and personal assistant!!
I have a cat who is becoming quite aged. She used to RUN from tree to tree in the yard, up one then leap down and up another. I once saw her snatch a bird out of mid air--it was OK, as I went screaming after her and made her drop it! Now she spends almost all day asleep in a favorite spot. She wakes up briefly to request a brushing (her personal grooming is not all it could be) or some treats (not bothering so much with big feeds, but treats are always welcome). It can seem sad, but when I think about an old age where you only do what you really enjoy, and everyone around you is always ready to get you whatever you want...well, that is not bad at all. Same for Sherpa, bless his heart!
Sherpa will be the one to tell you when he no longer enjoys going for walks. He may be getting older but, his Spirit and his Love for Life will get him through, one day at a time 😊 Jamie you are the Best Dad Ever.
Jamie, you don't owe anyone apologies! You've taught many of us what a good dog parent should be. I know that Sherpa's life is always the very best for him❤❤
😢 You don't have to make the videos happy just for us. We know it's a hard time for both of you and just be honest and show how things are. We love you both so much 🤗❤️❤️
Congratulations on 100K 🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏💜💜💜 Also, most important thing you mentioned is that you have to adapt, Sherpa is doing good! Sometimes we get caught up with how things used to be that we don't get a chance to cherish the present. He is still here, that is cause for celebration! And your empathy knows no bounds.... you are concerned about the viewers and maybe not having a happy video. I come to check in on you and Sherpa, not for what you can make me feel. I just like knowing what is going on with you even if its a video of Sherpa sleeping and the rain falling on the roof, thats enough. I am sending a big hug to you and Sherpa. I hope you both feel the immense love that's with hug! 🤗💜🤗💜🤗💜 *PS my thoughts on "horners" batdog has had some run ins and theres no cover-up for it 😉
I said it before Jamie. Love him for every second of every day. Learn together how to navigate a different life. I lost my beautiful girl 2 months before her 18th birthday. She had dementia, was deaf and almost blind, but she still loved going to the park.
Congratulations on 100k. Sherpa looks good for a old guy. You are doing great taking care of him. Having a Senior is never easy. We've lost 3 this year sadly.
That is so heartbreaking. A few years back I lost 5 pets all shorty after each other, that's the problem I had because I got most of them the same time and they all grew old together and mourned for each other. I'm now watching my two greyhounds getting old, Rosie will be 12 soon and she's having a few problems. My two horses are both 28 and now have special need treatment. I love my old animals so much. Sending my love to you ❤
Keep up with the short walks..I think it is important to keep moving 🙏 hope his eye starts looking better 🤩 I enjoy watching Sherpy having fun and you are doing a phenomenal job taking care of him🥹much love from the middle of America ✌️❤️🐺
Nothing to apologise for Jamie, it happens to all pets in in the end and those who care know this. The sad days and happy days go hand in hand. Life is not full of happy days unfortunately. Sherpa is a senior cutie and we all love him for it. Don't be made to feel bad when your having a sad day cause your not all smiling and happy . Your doing great just keep on doing it. 👍🐶💕😍❤️
Thank you for sharing all the bits with us. I love watching sweet Sherpa. I’m sorry he’s feeling not so puppy these days ❤️ You’re a kind man to share your and Sherpa’s lives with complete strangers.
It’s sad to hear how Sherpa is not feeling well however he is living his best life. Jaime you are amazing and your love for Sherpa will keep him going. His home and garden has been a blessing however his walks seems to make him happy. Still love to hear conversations between Sherpa and Jamie 😂❤🤗
When Jamie said "Sherpa is fine, I am the one who needs to adjust", that makes me feel a little bit sad, but I need to remember to be positive and that I too need to adjust to the changes. Jamie is right, Sherpa is fine.
Jamie I wish you are very well, because you are the best dad for Sherpa! Sherpa can be happy with all the things you give to him, and your love! He has the good dad! All strong for you! Sherpa is the best dog with you! ❤ Sherpa is loved and you too! ❤️
Thank you Jamie for showering SHERPA 🐺❤ with si much love and keeping us updated how he is doing , THANK YOU and I also hope you are doing well Jamie 🙏🏻
No need to apologize, Jamie. We understand and you know his limits better than we do. It does appear his appetite has perked up a bit. He does seem to still enjoy a short ride in the van or Jeep. And, although he can't chase his treaties like he once could, he still seems to enjoy it. Thank you for being the best dog dad in the world for Sherpa and sharing him with us around the world. We love him and we love you. Have a blessed day guys. 🥰🐾 --Paula in Ohio USA
I was gifted a 6 yr old ACD in 2012. I had a 2 mile every morning running partner for 10 years. Yes it was me that had to adapt. It felt wrong running by myself, then going for short dog walk after. Which turned into shorter and shorter walks. Now it is just me and my running. Big hugs to Sherpa from San Diego, California, USA.
Getting old is part of life, the important is that you love him and you do everything for him, when the day comes, you will feel that he had a wonderfull life, loved respected, was a happy dog and you can enjoy the good memories. I had the same path twice and althoug the sadness, knowing the love and happiness that they were loved and had the best of everything, lets me spleep well at nignt. Life is this, enjoy every minute😊❤
Hugs to lord fluffy butt aka lord Sherpa keep your chin up and keep your servant Jamie on his toes 😊😊😊 thank you Jamie for all that you do for Sherpa xxxxx
Toxic positivity helps no one. Including Sherpa. Be sad. Watching any one age, Regardless of what age they are is hard. It’s hard to watch your kids grow up. It’s hard to grow up. It’s hard to watch your parents become old. Transitions are hard. You don’t need to put on a happy face for us. Also it is more than okay to cry. I cried a lot when my late dog was aging probably as much as I did the day she died. You are not alone.
Sherps is still the most gorgeous fluff butt ever. It's the worst thing ever to see your best friend getting older but that's the price we pay for the privilege of receiving the tremendous love they give. Just keep doing what you do Jaime no doggy Dad could do a better job than you. I'm sending you both a virtual hug and no matter what we're all here waiting for the next installment of "a day in the life of Sherpa and Jaime."😊 Just enjoy the slower pace of life. Belly rubs for my beautiful boy Sherpy and big heartfelt hugs to you Jaime. 🐾🐾❤️
Sherpa is in the very best of hands with u Jamie. Ur Home and especially Sherpas Garden is where he luvs to be. Ur a kind genuine Dog Dad that just wants ur Fluffy Beautiful Sherpa 2 be happy... Luv u both And Congratulations on 100K🎉🥰🇺🇸🙏
The garden looks quite spacious so I imagine he will at least get exercise from patrolling around the garden from time to time on top of the shorter walks.
Jamie, I think the best thing you could do for Sherpa, you’ve already done. You’ve given him a safe, loving home, and then moved him to that wonderful garden, oh that a house went with.😄
Most of us know what it's like to have an elderly dog. You do have to make adjustments, which you happily do because you love your pup. The changes are inevitable and sad, but you do the best you can to hold on while they still are living well. You'll give Sherpa the best life possible, as always.
He's your son, and you're his father. You're his everything. It's one of the hardest things to deal with. You 2 are absolutely blessed to experience each other, and I hope you make the most of the time you have left with him.
Jamie, you have given, and still give Sherpa an amazing life, even if it is more and more at home, in his garden. You need to realize that Sherpa LOVES HIS GARDEN, and he is very content there. And when you two come back from Nephew Nook’s home, or K’eys home, to see how excited Sherpa to come back HOME, and is so happy to see his garden, when his ears go up, and jumps and runs a little, when he touches the grass.❤😊
Aw, lovely Sherpa, he has the best, most caring dad any pup could dream of. It’s like he’s retired now and wants to enjoy his garden while his dad gets him anything he wants, bless him. 🐾🐾🐾💜💙❤️
Love and hugs to you both Jamie. It is very hard when our pets get on in age. They are very much part of our family. He is loved so very much by us all. He is adorable and beautiful. Have a great day. ❤❤❤🤗🤗🤗
Congratulations to you! I can't wait to see the new "UA-cam-Badge" on your wall! So many people follow you because you and Sherpa make them happy. You make us happy! Thank you so much! 💙 Many greetings from Germany 😊
Sherpa is doing so well for an old man. You’ve given him the best life he could possibly have. I know you love him and I know he knows you love him. I hope he can still see Key.
You are right Jamie. Walks are important. It’s good to keep him sniffing as we don’t realise how much dogs need to use their noses. The exercises is good for his mental health as well as his physical health. Giving you a mental hug 🤗as I know how hard it can be nursing the elderly. Thank you. May you please take care and stay safe. Louisa. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩
No one could care more for Sherpa than you Jamie. I don't have any animals anymore, but you do love them and they are part of your family. Don't ever apologise Jamie, you and Sherpa are just fine as you are. Lots of love to you both xx
Age comes to us all but Jamie your doing everything you can to make it easier and happier for sherps . Honestly I could cry watching you with him sometimes . We are all here for you always . ❤
We have a 15.75 yr pom and we see the changes all the time but she's doing good. If she eats all her food that we cook for her we praise her to bits. She is my first dog and I'm 72. I never knew I could love another being so much. Thank you for sharing your journey with Sherpa. Warms my heart.
Jamie, no need for apology. We all get BUSY & have life hiccups. Just keep working on finding personal balance. Keep loving Sherpa❤. And Jamie thanks for taking us on your DIVE❣️
You are doing the best you can Jamie. A gentle walk, lots of love, good food and to be in his garden near you, is all Sherpa wants. Our fur babies teach us what love means. And some days; that lesson hurts and it is a bit scary. Much ❤ to you and Sherpa. X
Hi Jamie and Sherpa! Congratulations on the 100,000! It doesn’t surprise me though…who couldn’t love such an amazingly wonderful dog! Thank you for the update Jamie, I’m sending lots of healing thoughts, love and prayers ❤️💙🙏💙❤️
Hi, Jamie and Sherpa, from my rural corner of Tennessee!! Jamie, I love all your videos. Please, please remember, Jamie, that our Sherpa, being a dog (well, sort of, lol),lives strictly in the moment. Dogs have no regrets about the past, and no worries about the future. It's all about the now, this moment. And thats what you give him, lovely moment after moment. We all hear the anxiety in your voice and see the worry on your face. You must try to stop that and live like your spectacular Sherpa, happy right now, in this moment....love you both!!!😀
You are a good daddy to this dear lovable adorable doggie! Love Sherpa ❤ I do love the way you attune to him and care for him as he matures. Keep on ❤❤❤!
Oh Jamie, I can feel your anxiousness and worry for your best friend. It's hard to face that our pets get older and not as lively as before. I pray for Sherpa's good health and may he have many good years left. Lots of love and hugs to you both.
It hurts me, saddens me deeply to see Sherpa's health in fragile state. Sherpa is an angel on this Earth, and the thought of his mortality makes me very sad. I only can imagine how Jaime feels, Sherpa is like a son for him, his companion, his everything. Sherpa had had a wonderful life provided by his dad, a life full of adventure, love, great joy. May God bless Sherpie and his loving daddy. I'm praying for Sherpie, for God grants him more life. Amen.
Aww he’s got that old dog look. Reminds me of my old fellow who passed on years ago. Hugs to you Jamie. These years maybe hard but treasure the time you have with him. He’s a treasure. I miss my old boi so much.
Sherpie is doing well for his age, 13 is old for a large breed. He's still living his best life it's just very stressful when they get older. You don't know from one day to the next what is going to crop up. Sherpa forever ❤❤❤
I love older pets . Seeing them grow and change through the years means so much to me. I have been a subscriber for three months. I think Sherpa is absolutely gorgeous. I would love to take care of him in his senior years . Senior pets need more cognitive stimulation; lots of hugs and interaction with family. My 13.5 year old has had surgeries; has a slight limp and is very sassy. Love and cherish every moment together. ❤❤❤❤❤😊
Jamie you are doing a fantastic job with Sherpa. It’s hard watching them grow old. He absolutely loves his garden and he knows you love him more then life itself and would do anything for him. It doesn’t matter if not all the videos are happy and upbeat it’s all part of life and we are all here for you Jamie I know I spent many hours crying months before I had to say goodbye to my Bobby I could see him slowing down and knew what was coming please take care of yourself it’s not easy watching the grow old and we don’t have them anywhere near long enough in our lives
Sherpa is still moving fast in his way and actively sniffing peemails. He loves his food especially his rabbit ears. No one is to stop him running off when he has one in his mouth😂it's good that your keeping yourself doing other activities, Jamie and adapting to the new routine. Sending comforting hugs around this obstacle in life ❤sending good wishes and hugs to Jamie and Sherpa 🥰❤❤🥰🐾🐾🐾🐕
It's heartbreaking for you Jamie, and for us too, knowing Sherpa is getting on and can't do all the same things you're used to, but we know this is life with our fur babies and the love and joy they give us outweighs the downs. I'm old so I've had to say a temporary farewell more often than I like to remember, but when I cross the bridge myself, soon enough now, I'll have such a welcome from my pack. It's never goodbye, just a farewell until we meet again in sunny fields. Take care, bless you both. Xxx💕🐕🦺💕
My sweet Mia is 14 and 1/2 now and we still watch you together, but she often snores softly on her cozy bed now. We can only give them all our love and cherish every day as a gift, dear Jamie. Much love from France.
Jamie I have a neuro disease. They are hard to explain even as a human. Your body is against you and the up and down hard to predict and manage. It effects my eyes, mobility, limb pain, spinal issues and brain lesions. So I empathise with our boy. That said he has moments of pure contentment. You can see he’s happy and try not to worry too much. You give him a lovely life. ❤
Sorry that Sherpa is not doing well. We've always adopted dogs 8 yrs or older. I know how hard it is to see them slow down. But, he's living the best life because of you!❤️🐾❤️
You have given Sherps an amazing life. He loves you so much & I know you love him so much. When he doesn't want to walk anymore, he will let you know & that he would prefer to just lie in his garden. He loves that garden so much. What a grand gift it is for him? Congrats Sherpa & Jamie on the 100K subs,
Do not worry about being happy just seeing you and Sherpa makes us happy. Short walks are great for him car rides are good and of course his garden. Just being with him is great. You can just be with him in his garden. It is so beautiful there. He is fortunate to have such a lovely place. It is gonna be alright. 😊 Life is all about making adjustments. Cheers
Jamie, I know firsthand how it feels to watch your young dog transition into an older dog. It’s always the hardest part of having a beloved animal by your side for so many years. Love and treasure every moment. And I know you do!💕
❤❤❤❤❤
It's so sad isn't it 😢
I second this. We had a 14year old, much loved, labrador called Monty. At 14 he had to be finally put down in the middle of lockdown in May 2020. @@SherpasDayit is. It is the saddest thing.
Love your video's 🥰🥰
no matter how old our pets get they are still our babies.
Please note this is not a Happy Channel but a Channel about life. So please do not feel pressured to make a happy Video when times are rough. You have so many loyal friends and they will stick with you in bad times as well.
Sweet Sherpa.Thank you for sharing him with us.Can tell he enjoys hanging out in the garden.
The nice thing is , Sherpa probably doesn't care about his eye so we should not feel badly either. He has a lovely life and a great home.
❤️❤️❤️👍
Beautifully said
I’m going through this transition too. My girl just turned 16 which is old for a lab. Her arthritis is starting to get in her way. She struggles to walk, has hearing and vision issues, no longer plays with her toys but she loves food, loves her people and being in the yard. All we can do is give them the best until we know it’s time… ❤
I am there too ….. heart breaking 😢😢
Dog food is the cause of almost all their health problems .
Well said ❤
I 100% agree!
So true, Anne. We all are❤❤
And trips to Key. 🙂
Well said Anne. Also trips to the beach are good, because salt water is good for the joints.
Stop apologizing Jamie. You are doing your best with your lovely boy Sherpa. You are adapting really well and doing what Sherpa needs. Big hugs ❤❤
Even with a wonky eye he is still adorable.
I agree 😊
Its hard to see our fur babies get old but, ive never seen a dog so loved as much as Sherpa ❤
Yea so hard to watch 😢
@@SherpasDayWe all love Sherpa, but you love him the most of all. Enjoy every moment you still have left with him.
As well as his friend key.
Thank you.
Beautiful words and I agree completely ❤️
I second this. I'm in Massachusetts and I feel the same way!
Ditto
Me too, a fellow Pennsylvanian here
Beautiful comment.
I’m very sorry Sherpa is feeling poorly. He’s such a wonderful old guy. We love him the world round. ❤
Love you Sherpa! You’ll never know how many people all over the world adore you, you beautiful boy.
Aw thankyou 😊
For Sherpa’s needs…whatever he wants
So sorry I've only just seen this. Thankyouuu! 💙😊
Sherpa will be the one to tell you when he no longer enjoys going for walks. He may be getting older but, his Spirit and his Love for Life will get him through, one day at a time 😊 Jamie you are the Best Dad Ever.
I can't stop crying how much we love Sherpa. He is the ambassador for senior dogs.Watching from New Jersey USA ❤
I'm from Jersey too! Don't you just love Sherpa?!❤
Congratulations on reaching 100K! This is for Sherpa's hydrotherapy and Veterinarian fund. Sherpa deserves the best care possible...🙏❤🐶
Steve you are truly an angel 🫶🏻
@@jenniferwillcox Thank you Jennifer...🙏
Steve you are an absolute legend thankyou 😊
❤ 🙏
Jamie, you don't owe anyone apologies! You've taught many of us what a good dog parent should be. I know that Sherpa's life is always the very best for him❤❤
It’s a shame about Sherpa’s eye, but he doesn’t seem to mind it and keeps on chugging along. We love him so much and want him to be happy.
😢 You don't have to make the videos happy just for us. We know it's a hard time for both of you and just be honest and show how things are. We love you both so much 🤗❤️❤️
Congratulations on 100K 🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏💜💜💜
Also, most important thing you mentioned is that you have to adapt, Sherpa is doing good!
*PS my thoughts on "horners" batdog has had some run ins and theres no cover-up for it 😉
I said it before Jamie. Love him for every second of every day. Learn together how to navigate a different life. I lost my beautiful girl 2 months before her 18th birthday. She had dementia, was deaf and almost blind, but she still loved going to the park.
Hugs. I have walked the path you are on. If only our love could keep them young forever.
Congratulations on 100k. Sherpa looks good for a old guy. You are doing great taking care of him. Having a Senior is never easy. We've lost 3 this year sadly.
Thankyou 😊
I'm sorry for your losses, always in your heart❤
😢 You have lost 3 fur babies this year 😳. Oh my goodness, I'm so so sorry for your loss, that must be so hard. Hugs for you Warrington 🤗🙏❤❤❤
Jamie, ĵust do all you can for that boy. He's kinda special. I know you already do, mate. 💜
Aw thankyou I definitely will 😊
Oh, my. That sweet pup is coming down the home stretch. Our fluffy friends have such short lives. Love them while they're with us.
🫂
The sweets with the sours, as they say.
Thankyou Laura 😊
@@SherpasDay your welcome and love you both
When Jamie said "Sherpa is fine, I am the one who needs to adjust", that makes me feel a little bit sad, but I need to remember to be positive and that I too need to adjust to the changes.
Aw thankyou for caring too 😊
We all care Jamie and love you both loads❤❤❤❤
❤
Thankyou for all you do too 😊
Toxic positivity helps no one.
Jamie stop worrying, as long as he’s with that’s all that matters
Well said. Just lost my 16 yo - old age started to show the first signs 2 years ago so that would have been a lot of worry!
Hugs to you Jamie. Poor Sherpa, it is no fun getting older. Sending love and hugs
Sherpa still has exercise at home. He walks round the garden. I love to see Sherpa. I don't think he's sad.
Bon courage Jamie. Je pense fort à toi. Sherpa était unique❤❤❤
❤️🩹🐾🐾❤️🩹
Sherpa is in the very best of hands with u Jamie. Ur Home and especially Sherpas Garden is where he luvs to be. Ur a kind genuine Dog Dad that just wants ur Fluffy
Beautiful Sherpa 2 be happy... Luv u both
And Congratulations on 100K🎉🥰🇺🇸🙏
The garden looks quite spacious so I imagine he will at least get exercise from patrolling around the garden from time to time on top of the shorter walks.
Yea he definitely does 😊
Jamie, I think the best thing you could do for Sherpa, you’ve already done. You’ve given him a safe, loving home, and then moved him to that wonderful garden, oh that a house went with.😄
This can't be easy for you, Jamie.❤❤
It really isn't 😢
❤️🩹❤️🩹🐾🐾❤️🩹❤️🩹
Most of us know what it's like to have an elderly dog. You do have to make adjustments, which you happily do because you love your pup. The changes are inevitable and sad, but you do the best you can to hold on while they still are living well. You'll give Sherpa the best life possible, as always.
He's your son, and you're his father. You're his everything. It's one of the hardest things to deal with. You 2 are absolutely blessed to experience each other, and I hope you make the most of the time you have left with him.
Watching you scratch his neck, makes me think you’ve scratched that neck a thousand times. God bless you both.
Thank you for the update Jamie, as mush as I worry about Sherpa, I really worry about you too, I hope your doing ok. *virtual hugs*💙
Aw thankyou, I'm all good 😊
Jamie, you have given, and still give Sherpa an amazing life, even if it is more and more at home, in his garden.
When he was laying in the longer grass he looked like he was playing hide and seek with dad 😊. Congratulations on the 100k subscribers
Haha thankyou 😊
Aw, lovely Sherpa, he has the best, most caring dad any pup could dream of. It’s like he’s retired now and wants to enjoy his garden while his dad gets him anything he wants, bless him. 🐾🐾🐾💜💙❤️
You couldn’t have a better alarm clock. Some heavy breathing and lots of loving 😊😊😊 husky kisses.
Haha totally agree 😊
Love and hugs to you both Jamie. It is very hard when our pets get on in age. They are very much part of our family. He is loved so very much by us all. He is adorable and beautiful. Have a great day. ❤❤❤🤗🤗🤗
Congratulations to you!
I can't wait to see the new "UA-cam-Badge" on your wall!
So many people follow you because you and Sherpa make them happy. You make us happy! Thank you so much! 💙
Many greetings from Germany 😊
Aw thankyouuu! Hopefully it won't be too long 😊
Sherpa is doing so well for an old man. You’ve given him the best life he could possibly have. I know you love him and I know he knows you love him. I hope he can still see Key.
As long as you’re his dad Jamie he’ll always be loved. Sending big hugs to you both, speedy and megs and their mum sue😊
Aw thankyou all 😊
You are right Jamie.
Big hug Jamie, I sense your sadness and anxiety and we all ❤ Sherpa to bits! And you are the best Doggie-Daddy in the world!! 🌎💞
100K🎉 I love how you love Sherpa, Jamie. You are both the best. 💜💜💜💜💜
Aw thankyou 😊
Jamie, no need for apology. We all get BUSY & have life hiccups. Just keep working on finding personal balance. Keep loving Sherpa❤.
And Jamie thanks for taking us on your DIVE❣️
Sherpa is living his life at his age. It usually isn't depressing and this one was not depressing.
Aw thankyou 😊
@@SherpasDay you’re very welcome!
Hi, Jamie and Sherpa, from my rural corner of Tennessee!! Jamie, I
love all your videos. You must try to stop that and live like your spectacular Sherpa, happy right now, in this moment....love you both!!!😀
He is aging like fine wine. He is still the King❤❤ love you buddy.
You are a good daddy to this dear lovable adorable doggie!
Love Sherpa ❤
I do love the way you attune to him and care for him as he matures.
Keep on ❤❤❤!
Oh Jamie, I can feel your anxiousness and worry for your best friend. It's hard to face that our pets get older and not as lively as before. I pray for Sherpa's good health and may he have many good years left. Lots of love and hugs to you both.
Aw thankyou 😊
It hurts me, saddens me deeply to see Sherpa's health in fragile state. Sherpa is an angel on this Earth, and the thought of his mortality makes me very sad. I only can imagine how Jaime feels, Sherpa is like a son for him, his companion, his everything. Sherpa had had a wonderful life provided by his dad, a life full of adventure, love, great joy. May God bless Sherpie and his loving daddy. I'm praying for Sherpie, for God grants him more life. Amen.
It is so hard to watch our furbabies grow older. Enjoy every day together. Gentle hugs for you both. ❤
Aww he’s got that old dog look. Reminds me of my old fellow who passed on years ago. Hugs to you Jamie. These years maybe hard but treasure the time you have with him. He’s a treasure. I miss my old boi so much.
Congratulations on the 100,000 and, as long as Sherpa is with you, everything will be all right 🫶🏽♥️
Aw thankyou 😊
Sherpa has the best life with you Jamie. He loves you beyond and above all.❤
Hugs for Sherpie! If worst comes to worse when my old dog wouldn't eat she would eat out of my hand. I'm glad he's eating today!
Sherpie is doing well for his age, 13 is old for a large breed. He's still living his best life it's just very stressful when they get older. You don't know from one day to the next what is going to crop up. Sherpa forever ❤❤❤
You're a great Dad😊
Aw thankyou 😊
Sherpa’s such a good boi, and Jamie’s such a fabulous dad! ❤
He’s still handsome Sherpa. And more important you are giving him excellent quality life.❤❤❤
Getting old is not for the faint of heart. Stay strong, Sherps!
It's hard watching our fur babies grow old. It doesn't change the love tho. ❤
Thanks!
Thankyou Alison 😊
You did it!!
Haha you guys did it 😊
I have loved looking at different Sherpa videos. He really is a beautiful boy. Never to be forgotten. ❤ 😢
Sorry that Sherpa is not doing well. We've always adopted dogs 8 yrs or older. I know how hard it is to see them slow down. But, he's living the best life because of you!❤️🐾❤️
It's so difficult to watch a beloved pet age faster than we are. Thank you for sharing this journey with us; it's comforting.
Cuddle with him more, Jamie. He may act like he’s too cool for his dad, but I know that deep down he appreciates it. ❤❤❤
You have given Sherps an amazing life. He loves you so much & I know you love him so much. When he doesn't want to walk anymore, he will let you know & that he would prefer to just lie in his garden. He loves that garden so much. What a grand gift it is for him? Congrats Sherpa & Jamie on the 100K subs,
Jamie you take good care of Sherpa we all love him enjoy your day ❤❤ love you guys
Cheers
