Hello Jamie hello Sherpa! I appreciate the updates your giving on his health. And you have every right to feel up and down and all around upset. You're a good man who cares.
My 14 year old dog did the exact same thing towards the end of his life. He kept falling over while trying to poop. He would fall right into it. I bought dry shampoo to help with clean ups. He would also just fall down while walking. One day he fell and looked at me in a different way. I could tell in his eyes he was done in that moment. He was already on lots of pain meds to keep him comfortable but his look said it all. I took him the next day to be put to sleep. It was devastating but I knew he needed to keep his dignity and he was done fighting. It’s breaking my heart watching Sherpa seemingly do the exact same thing. I hope they can figure something out for him but he is also a very old dog for his size so be prepared. It sucks and I’m sorry he’s taken such a bad turn. My heart goes out to you both.
We've just been through the exact same thing as you've just explained. Our beautiful Labrador passed 8 weeks ago with just the same thing. It's very sad and difficult to get your head round but I know he's in a better place now with no pain. Wishing you all the best.🇬🇧💛🐾
We went through the exact same thing with our 14 y/o golden retriever some months ago. We were gutted by how much he aged in his last six months, and by the end he was mostly just sleeping his day away. When we took the decision to ease his passing, it was almost like he was relieved to finally be rid of his aches and pains. Grief is the price we pay for a lifetime of love and memories. ❤🩹❤
Sit beside him, talk to him. Tell him what a blessing it’s been to have him in your life. Do it now while he is able to hear you. Cry because 0f him, and for him. Be thankful for the memories and although heart breaking, be thankful you are able to usher with him whatever it may come. 😔🦋
It's so impossible to care for someone you love when they are facing an uncertain future. We've laughed with you and Sherpa for so long. Now we hold him in our hearts and share our support for you both.
No matter how hard this may be for you Jamie, no one can ever say you didn't do everything humanly possible for Sherpa. The love you have for him is unmistakable and he knows it, which is all he truly needs.
Watching your dog get older and their back legs get weaker is so hard. I know your heartache, and tough decisions, and I know you’ll make the best choice for Sherpie ❤
Dear Jamie, Sherpa is your baby boy. He's that child who is always happy to see dad when you come home. Give you a cheeky response during conversations. Always ready for an adventure when he hears you grab the car keys. I know it's difficult to see his up & down swings. As our big breed dogs age, they do experience difficulty with their hind quarters, heavy panting and reduction in appetite. Please know that your unconditional love, attention, and compassion throughout Sherpa's upbringing is most honorable. You are a great dog dad. You succeed everyday in giving him a beautiful quality of life. Love you both 💖💖!
When my dog let me know it was time he stopped going to the toilet. He had prostate cancer and had been in palliative care for a month. Sherpa will let you know if it’s his time. It’s the worst part of pet care and emotionally the hardest but it’s when we can love them the most and show them that love by listening to them.
Its so hard when they get old. We had to make the heartbreaking decision to help our old boy over the rainbow bridge just before Christmas last year, so I've very recently gone through the process of helping an elderly dog through their twilight years. It's so hard and so emotionally brutal, but you're doing amazing. Whatever happens and whatever you choose, Sherps is one of the most loved and cherished dogs in the world. You're a wonderful dog dad and have given him the sort of life other dogs have leg kicking dreams about.
Jamie, I cannot tell you how hard that video was to watch. Sherpa is in his twilight years, and you are doing absoluely everything anyone could possibly do take make him comfortable. Every one of your fans are thinking about you and Sherpa.
He is still eating and moving around that is a blessing !!! Diet and excercise change a lot in senior years. Exhausting I know. Keep up the fight Jamie he deserves it !!!!!
I came here to say the same thing. Also, the medicine might affect his appetite. My cats don’t eat as much with painkillers/sedative type meds. Jamie, you and Sherpa are in our thoughts and prayers.
@@HouseofMeow3484 Agree 💯‼️ I did laugh a little when Jamie took the bowl to the shed... My thought of Sherpa saying: "Haha getting my breakfast is bed"😊
His appetite is still good and Sherpa clearly loves his garden and naps. Please accept that you're doing everything possible to make your sweet boy as comfortable as possible. Love coming your way from California, U.S. ❤
Jamie I feel like I should buy a airplane ticket to England. I’m so worried for you. You are the BEST DOGGIE DADDY. When I saw you tearing up I could see you needed a hug and a shoulder. Sherpy has the best life with you. I wish I could take all your pain away. You sweet sweet man remember all of us are here with you. Everyone loves Sherpy Everyone.
Praying for Sherpa's. Our pets are like our children and when I lost my precious cat Silver in 2017 after i lost my job i was devestated. I hope this helps with the vet bills and many more days of love with your baby
Every fan of Lord Sherpa is feeling your pain right now Jamie..it has to be gut wrenching to see him in all this pain..but at the same time he's put on a brave face and the fact he's still walking is encouraging. My prayers are going to both of you and I hope this veterinary care comes quickly for Lord Sherpa.
I just have to say this, what the heck is wrong with the vets, what critical factors does Sherpy need for them to say bring him in straight away.He is clearly not well, and it is taking a toll on our poor boy,and on Jamie. I'm so mad that he has to wait 3 days to get treatment😢 we are all here , sending you both so much love and support. ❤❤
As someone who cared for my senior dogs until they crossed over the rainbow, I understand the pain and struggle and wishing they can still stay but we all know it's the end of the road for them. It doesn't get any easier. They were there for me through the worse times and loved me unconditionally. My consolation is they both had pups so I am raising a part of them even while still missing them.
Sherpa just looks exhausted (Jamie does too) and in pain. Having been there with a much loved pet I'm struggling to watch now because I think we all sense a heartbreaking decision is imminent. It is the hardest yet kindest thing we can do, my heart goes out to them😢.
I am 70 years old. I have had pets since I was six years old. I have had to put down pets. It is excruciatingly difficult. It also is a kindness--a responsibility--that we must shoulder.
Aw I’m so sorry you’re going through this. It’s hard watching Sherpie struggle. I hope the pain meds are helping and that the specialist will give him back some stability in his back legs. 💕 love to Sherpie, moral support for Jamie..
Whatever happens, Jamie - you are giving your all to Sherpa, nobody could do more than you are doing, nobody could have done more than you have. Don't be sorry for your tears - let them come in the video where Sherpa doesn't see them. So many of us have been where you are now - we understand, and you have all our hearts, as does Sherpie The Magnificent.
Dear Jamie and Sherpa, I feel your pain and it’s heartbreaking. Don’t lose hope Sherpie might surprise you … I wish his appointment was earlier. You’re not alone . All my love to Sherpie . Please get some rest.
I understand how painful going through this is for you along with sharing with us. However, I want you to know how much this means to me. Sherpa is very special pup who has brough some light not only my life, but many others. You are very kind to share your lives with others. Your books are full of kindness and love as well. I am certain as well that Sherpa's plushies have brought sunshine and comfort to others as well. Again, thank you.
It’s so heartbreaking to have to watch our precious boy getting on in years and getting so weak. He is so very much loved by everyone, especially you Jamie. We all know you are doing everything you can possibly do to help him. And the main thing is Sherpa knows it too. Hugs and love to you both. 🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️

Oh Jamie, PLEASE know you and and Sherpa have the best community ever!!! We love and support you both so very much. Sherpas mouth was dripping water, that is a sign of pain. Poor baby, is not having a good time and in turn neither are you. Big love and hugs to you and Sherpa.
Jamie, it's the toll on the caretaker that goes unseen until you break. You're holding it together so well as you try to give the world to your Sherpie. A big hug to the caretaker from North Carolina.
The most important thing now for Sherpa is that he knows that you are unconditionally by his side, Jaimie; it is hard, it is painful, but it is also and will be a comfort to you to have been with Sherpa when he needed you most. Sherpa is going to have good and bad days, that's how it is with our beloved pets when they get older, they just need our love and patience, and Sherpa gets it from you. A big hug from Argentina.
Sherpa chose you for a reason, he knew of the connection between you two. We take our pets from babies to adults to seniors and it happens so fast. All we can do is appreciate them as long as they are with us. Sherpa will let you know when it''s time. Harsh but realistic advice: Try not to let your personal wants and needs interfere with what he is telling you. That's the hardest part. Lots of love from a companion of many animals through the years.
Sherps will tell you when it is time, it is such a horrible situation to be in. All 3 my huskies did, and you will know in your heart. Until then love him like you do and snuggle him as much as you can. Wishing you strength and sending you both hugs.
Sometimes it takes time for test results to come in , let all pray Jamie and Sherpa will have the answers to what going on soon and specialist are able to help Sherpa . Surrounding Jamie and Sherpa with prayers, healing, strength and love❤🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏
So you were extremely lucky that you didn't get stuck out in no where with puppers in this condition. It's a blessing not a curse. You are the best loving nurse ever!
Jamie, I don't know if you tried it already but here in Germany we are having an injection that an elderly dog can get every month and it did make our dog really strife and get old in a happy way so far. He is a bit smaler than Sherpa, almost 16 now, a really old and good boy and for the last 2 years, it kept him alive and well. Without it, he would be long gone. The injection does cost roughly a hundred Euros per month but it really helps. Maybe that is a thing in the UK too. It helps against pain. Our dog has problems with his hip and hind legs too. Sometimes he has a hard time to get up and walk. Wish you luck and praying for Sherpa. ❤
Is the injection called Librella? It's available here in Canada too, I recently tried it for my senior dog and she was running around like a puppy again after one injection. Unfortunately after her second injection, we found out something much more sinister going on in her body just like Sherpa.. cancer. Had to say goodbye 5 days later. Initially, I thought the decline was just her age and arthritis, but that's not always the case. Cancer can sneak up fast 💔
I’m going through the same thing with my Husky girl right now. She’s 15 or 16 years old. She walks too, but her hind quarters are just as weak as Sherpa. She paces most of the night around the house. Last night she went outside and slept comfortably for hours in the cool air. It’s hot here right now in Southern California. Since she can’t see or hear very much it’s hard on her. One would of caution, my girl can get herself trapped in places, if unattended. She panics and cries for help, I come running to help her. I feel your pain, she is my best friend. I hand feed her as well as helping her drink water, she won’t lay down and eat, you are lucky there. We love are friends, just as much as they love us. ❤
This video is so heartbreaking, Jamie. Sherpie is special to the viewers, but even more special to you as his daddy. I'm thinking of you, and sending prayers to the Lord on your behalf.
Jamie I am so sorry for your loss of your beautiful boy I loved watching your videos I am sitting here in tears watching this feeling the heart break as if where my own I have been where you are now more then once it still hurts years after my heart goes out to you he will live on in our hearts and minds thank you for all the joy you have shared with us all he was a beautiful boy may he rest in peace ❤😢😢😢
Wish there was something I could say that would ease times like this. However, I can say you are both in my heart and prayers . It has always been clear how much you love Sherpa, even more now. He too loves you. ❤️
The first thing I did early this morning was look for news from Sherpie and you …you have so much on your mind… remember you have so many Friends from all over the world.. you are not alone… Prayers for Sherpie and for you to give you strength.🙏💙🤗
❤sometimes we have to let go, hard for us. Even harder for them to stay. I pray he can be helped, but please don't let him suffer to long. I write this with a truly broken heart and tears Love you guys so much❤
Absolutely, I hung on for too long, praying for a miracle, and because of that my dog had a heart attack and died in my arms. I don't wish that on anybody. Let go before they do 😢
Jamie, God was watching over you. You could have easily lost your brakes and you would have had a terrible accident. Please don’t give up hope. I pray you feel the love and support from everyone around the world. I wish I could be there to comfort you. Our vet told us to try and keep our golden retriever from lying on the cold, damp ground. But like Sherpa, she loved being outside. So we had to limit her time outdoors. She also had trouble standing up. She had arthritis in her hips. I’m constantly praying for you both. Sending hugs from Tennessee USA. 💕🐾✝️
Thank you for sharing this awful journey. I have an 16 yr old pom and the changes are difficult to deal with. Love love and more love is the best for them and for us. You,re a good man. The world needs more of you in it.
Very similar experience when my ❤dog, Mac, was 13. He was a corgi, so it started with not being able to go up stairs, then couldn’t get down them either. Eventually he was unable to get up at all to even drink or go potty, and he’d be laying in a puddle of his own making. Everything about it was hard. We said goodbye to him at home, and gave him a beer to drink, which he was a Welshman through and through and loved himself a strong ale. Even the vet, who came to our house to help say goodbye, laughed and cried with us and we sent him to the Bridge in the best way for him. Sherpa has touched many of us, and we thank you for sharing your adventure with your best mate with us. You and Sherps will know when it’s time, he will let you know.
Despite the tough time that Sherpa is having right now, one thing is very clear, the love and support he gets from you is as solid as a rock 🪨

Yay Sherpa for being to get up by himself 🎉
❤ Lay beside Sherpa a lot, that will comfort him, you near him ❤
Never apologize. Anyone who was ever lucky enough to know the love of a dog understands.
Here's a little something for you and Sherpa. Big hugs Jamie.

When my dog let me know it was time he stopped going to the toilet. He had prostate cancer and had been in palliative care for a month. Sherpa will let you know if it’s his time. It’s the worst part of pet care and emotionally the hardest but it’s when we can love them the most and show them that love by listening to them.
He loves you and you love him. That is what matters and what will always matter.
This is so beautifully worded. It isn't often I come across something as thoughtful.
@@BlackWidow00741I agree with you, it is beautifully said ❤
Oh! Jamie I love you both my heart is with you.
You've got Sherps, we've got you. x
Jamie, I cannot tell you how hard that video was to watch. Sherpa is in his twilight years, and you are doing absoluely everything anyone could possibly do take make him comfortable. Every one of your fans are thinking about you and Sherpa.
Poor Sherpa breaks my heart seeing him like that prays and love to you both xx
He is still eating and moving around that is a blessing !!! Diet and excercise change a lot in senior years. Exhausting I know. Keep up the fight Jamie he deserves it !!!!!
I came here to say the same thing. Also, the medicine might affect his appetite. My cats don’t eat as much with painkillers/sedative type meds. Jamie, you and Sherpa are in our thoughts and prayers.
So true!
@@HouseofMeow3484 Agree 💯‼️
I did laugh a little when Jamie took the bowl to the shed... My thought of Sherpa saying: "Haha getting my breakfast is bed"😊
His appetite is still good and Sherpa clearly loves his garden and naps. Please accept that you're doing everything possible to make your sweet boy as comfortable as possible. Love coming your way from California, U.S. ❤
Amen! Exactly right!
God bless you and Sherpa!
@@grobanite4ever85 That's so kind of you. I'm sure Jamie and Sherpa will appreciate your generosity and kind words. Thank you😊🩷💛🩵💙
Every fan of Lord Sherpa is feeling your pain right now Jamie..it has to be gut wrenching to see him in all this pain..but at the same time he's put on a brave face and the fact he's still walking is encouraging. My prayers are going to both of you and I hope this veterinary care comes quickly for Lord Sherpa.
This is the hardest part. Being there is exhausting and I send you both all of the love and support. Thank you for being Sherpas bestest dad, Jamie.
We are all with you Jamie. I know this is hard. You are not alone.
Jamie must be emotionally and physically exhausted. Sending healing thoughts and prayers to Sherpa...❤🐶🙏
😇❤️🩹
@@SteveMikre44 Amen🙏
Oh. Sherpie. You’ve got this, baby boy. Jamie you are an absolute angel for this gorgeous boy. He really did get the best dad with you.
The bond between Jamie and Sherpa is so loving 🥰
Hey Jamie best wishes for you and Sherpa!!
Jamie. Jamie. Jamie. Remember--you need to do what is best for Sherpa.
Sherpa just looks exhausted (Jamie does too) and in pain. Having been there with a much loved pet I'm struggling to watch now because I think we all sense a heartbreaking decision is imminent. It is the hardest yet kindest thing we can do, my heart goes out to them😢.
@@macelven I agree totally.
I am 70 years old. I have had pets since I was six years old. I have had to put down pets. It is excruciatingly difficult. It also is a kindness--a responsibility--that we must shoulder.
You are a devoted and good Dad. 🥰🥰. Glad you weren’t in the car when the brakes failed.
Aw I’m so sorry you’re going through this. It’s hard watching Sherpie struggle. I hope the pain meds are helping and that the specialist will give him back some stability in his back legs. 💕 love to Sherpie, moral support for Jamie..
I cheer everytime Sherpa gets up on his own!
Bless you both, always thinking about you xxx take care Jamie xxx
Tuesday, so that's today? I'm crying too over here. I'm petting him with my mind wishing he's not in pain.
Love on him as much as you can, Jamie.
Dear Jamie I have been thinking and worrying about dear Sherpa all night. I am pouring HOPE into your heart.
Sherpa is such a blessing to you and a strong boi ! X ❤️🇬🇧
Same here. I'm scared of updates and at the same time I can't wait for updates. I hope hope hope the specialist could help Sherpie!
@@Sandra_HereToSeeTheDuctTape I know ! It’s the waiting to see the specialist that is killing Jamie ! And us ) but we all must hope they can find out what is wrong with dearest Sherpa……X ❤️🇬🇧
I am wondering if it could possibly be hip dysplasia as my friends dog had it with the same symptoms but only the specialist would know……..X ❤️🇬🇧
Oh Jamie seeing you emotional just breaks my heart😢I’m so sorry your going through this. I’ve been through it with previous kittys and it’s never ever easy please know that Sherpa is so so loved so much by you and all of us!! Were with you!❤️❤️❤️sending hugs your way❤️
Oh Jamie, PLEASE know you and and Sherpa have the best community ever!!! We love and support you both so very much. Sadly this is a part of life, but I know there is little comfort in those words when you're actually going on that rollercoaster ride of our fur babies life. We all send you both a collective hug, love, Sherpa pupper kisses!!! I know it might not feel like it, but we all are here to comfort and encourage you both in any and every way we possibly can!!! 🇺🇸 ✝️🙏🕊️ 🐾 🌟💙💙
Jamie, all of us who love Sherpa and you, understand what you're going through. All of us who have loved dogs with all of our hearts, with every fiber in our being understand what you're going through. Know that you have support from all over the world. We're here for you and Sherpie.
Beautifuly said ❤🙏
Sherpas mouth was dripping water, that is a sign of pain.
Well said very important point ❤❤
The most important thing now for Sherpa is that he knows that you are unconditionally by his side, Jaimie; it is hard, it is painful, but it is also and will be a comfort to you to have been with Sherpa when he needed you most. Sherpa is going to have good and bad days, that's how it is with our beloved pets when they get older, they just need our love and patience, and Sherpa gets it from you. A big hug from Argentina.
Hi 👋 I thought 💭…
I was the only Sherpa’s fan from Argentina 😅 greetings from Buenos Aires
Sherpa chose you for a reason, he knew of the connection between you two. We take our pets from babies to adults to seniors and it happens so fast. All we can do is appreciate them as long as they are with us. Sherpa will let you know when it''s time. Harsh but realistic advice: Try not to let your personal wants and needs interfere with what he is telling you. That's the hardest part. Lots of love from a companion of many animals through the years.
My heart is breaking for you Jamie it truly is. I’m praying 🙏 for Sherpa
Breaks my heart seeing him like this. We all know Sherpie is a strong boy and will make it through.❤❤❤ Please recover well and fast Sherpie❤❤
Right! This is the comment we all want to read, not the depressing one.
@@mooncores8128 Thank you😢
He's a special dog.
He's also loved around the world by so many of us.
Sherps will tell you when it is time, it is such a horrible situation to be in. All 3 my huskies did, and you will know in your heart. Until then love him like you do and snuggle him as much as you can. Wishing you strength and sending you both hugs.
I lost my dog 8/July. Watching him brings me comfort when I miss my girl.
Eternally missed, Letty.
So very sorry for your loss. Sending hugs & love 🤗💜

Jamie, we are all standing with you. My every waking minute: Sherpa and Jamie 🐾🫂🌺💙🌹
So you were extremely lucky that you didn't get stuck out in no where with puppers in this condition. It's a blessing not a curse. You are the best loving nurse ever!
We love you, Jamie. We see you and hold you during this uncertain, heart-rending time.
@@floralovespringandflowers6227 Kind words and helpful advice. Danke 🩷
Oh Jamie. I hope this doesn't last too long. Praying for Sherpa and keeping you both in prayers
Especially the lack of eating :(
Always a bad sign when they do that.
Oh Jamie I'll keep you & his highness in my prayers your love for him is beautiful
We all love you Sherpa. If the end is near, Sherpa knows how well you have taken care of him Jamie.
So very sad for you Jamie I am really praying that Sherpa gets better xx

The first thing I did early this morning was look for news from Sherpie and you …you have so much on your mind… remember you have so many Friends from all over the world.. you are not alone… Prayers for Sherpie and for you to give you strength.🙏💙🤗
❤sometimes we have to let go, hard for us. Even harder for them to stay. I pray he can be helped, but please don't let him suffer to long. I write this with a truly broken heart and tears
Love you guys so much❤
This saying is so true. “We end their suffering and begin our own.”
Absolutely, I hung on for too long, praying for a miracle, and because of that my dog had a heart attack and died in my arms. I don't wish that on anybody. Let go before they do 😢
I always pray for him every day. I know you are doing everything that you can to help him. 🙏❤️🙏❤️
My heart aches for you. Poor Sherpa but thankfully he has you steadfast in his care. Bless you Jamie
It’s never easy to watch someone you love struggle. You are a great pet parent. You are doing everything you can for him.
I don't know what to say other than love you Sherpa. Please continue to fight
Bless Sherpa sweetheart ❤🤗🤗🙏 sending lots of Huggies and prayers ❤🤗🙏
No doggo could be treated any better then Sherpa was treated. He was so loved by Jamie. We around the world loved him as well. Be blessed.
