it’s so funny that you said seeing hao cuddling and reading to the baby made you want to raise kids with him because everyone was saying that’s exactly what hanbin looked like he was thinking in the follow up shot 😭 you’ll soon find out haobin are the biggest ship in zb1…i’ve been into kpop for years and while i’ve thought certain ships were fun i never actually believed two people were together and in love until i saw these two lmaooo also you’re so right about them being soft towards hao, and it’s not because he’s older, as you can see they love teasing jiwoong all the time. it’s partially that hao is just naturally very lovable and cute (even the baby YUJIN has said this), and partially that he takes such good care of the younger members, especially the ones he trained with at yuehua for over a year before boys planet - ricky, gyuvin, yujin, and also a bunch of the other trainees on boys planet who ended up not making it into the final lineup
I remember when the members were first announced, there were some people trying to make it seem like it's a problem that theres a 9 year age difference between the oldest and youngest. Like it's predatory or awkward or something. But like, that's not unheard of in groups? Especially ones formed on survival shows. Like, IZ*ONE, Kep1er and X1 also had 9 year gaps, Wanna One had 10, and UNB had 11 years. All those groups did fine and the oldest and youngest got along fine. With Yujin and Jiwoong, they "act the same age" since Jiwoong has a particularly playful side to him. They were also often on the same team on boys planet so they know eachother pretty well by this point. So yeah, I think they'll be perfectly fine together. frankly, I get along better with my sister who's almost 9 years younger than the sister whose a year younger xD
A few of them have tattoos actually. Ricky has 1 (neck tattoo that says 'rolemodel'), Hanbin has two (one on his bicep that says 'don't regret what you do' and on his collarbone a tattoo of a Sun, Star and Moon), Matthew has two (one on his bicep that says H.M.C and one on his back which is a matching tattoo with his sister), and Jiwoong has one on his leg (I only know it's in writing bcs it's pretty hidden probably bcs he's an actor). They're one of the few groups I know where the members already have tattoos before debut. Like during the show they were hidden, Ricky's the most obvious since there was always a tape on his neck until he talked about it in his winning speech. But idols tend to usually get them after they're pretty successful since they go against broadcasting protocols.
All of the members sent on the show have younger siblings (or for Hao, very close younger cousins). Gyuvin and Hanbin especially seem to adore kids so it was fun watching them on the show Jiwoong might be the manliest if you’re just looking at faces (and because the most masc descriptor I can give the younger ones is boyish). But he’s pretty poetic and soft-spoken when he’s not being clumsy and goofy. He seems to fall a lot in variety so the stumble in this video is his standard If you want to avoid song spoilers, the Youth in the Shade album + Here I Am, Say My Name, Hot Summer, and Jelly Pop (original boys planet songs mostly by zb1 members) are the ones they play a lot
Just to let you know, there is actually another video from ZB1's appearance on ch'i'ld cloud that was released a month ago, it basically shows Hanbin, Ricky & Hao talking about their childhood photos and stories from when they were growing up. I don't know why they decided to leave it out of the original 2 episodes, but it's really cute especially seeing the culture shock of the 2 chinese members with 1 korean. I definitely recommend it!
Thanks to the honest reaction, the songs played during the show were all sung by zb1 from their debut album "Youth in the Shadow". The first album in K-pop history to sell 2 million copies
gyuvin has younger siblings and cousins that he loves a lot and he’s known for being very affectionate and playful in general. you can see it with yujin a lot bc he loves to play with him and baby him. even his school friends said they blocked him on messages app because gyuvin constantly was messaging that he loved them😭😭 very large puppy dog energy

You getting gyuvin confused with taerae is absolutely hilarious because they look nothing alike. 😭😭💀 Um a very honest opinion from my side, again nothing personal or in no form any type of hate towards you cuz I appreciate you being honest and truthful about your reactions. It's just that I feel you are reading too much in between the lines, like yujin being quiet doesn't necessarily mean he didn't connect with jaeyul, in fact yujin himself has a younger brother. Or Hanbin giving the children's book to Ricky was actually a very thoughtful gesture from him, cuz Ricky still struggles with his Korean and the members are always supportive of him and try to help him improve his Korean. Hanbin was basically encouraging Ricky to try and read the children's book, since it might be easier for him. Again I am not trying to be hateful in any way just a few thoughts from my side as a zerose who has followed them since boys planet. ❤️
True I also thought this. It was a little weird when she said Hanbin was "progressive" because he said that doll being an "oppa" was possible. I think Kpop fans, especially international ones will go one and on about how you shouldn't assume idols are straight even though 95% of the world is but we should assume they are leftists and apart of the LGBT 🤨
