yea hes really changing the gun culture. I love his smirky jabs he takes at former DEVGRU and Delta Guys - who have their own training companies and made it normal to talk down on Veterans who spent 20 years of their life fighting who decided to teach and train civilians, simply because he doesn't understand their way of doing things because they saw combat and changed ways to do things based around that, and Lucas didn't. Thats not a jab at Lucas for not serving - its not for everyone. But he takes these really smirky and disrespectful jabs at dudes trying to do the same thing he is doing with a bit more to offer as far as learning "gun fighting". Hes changing the gun culture for the worst. Not the better. Not to mention the insane Instagram drama he loves to start. Don't even want to go down that road.
Too bad its gonna get you deleted. All these youtube gun LARPers and tactical gurus in Ukraine are returning in body bags.
I love how Brett can go from talking about Star Wars movies to absolutely looking like a beast on the firing range.

Yes! Normalize body armor. I'm tired of friends looking at me like I've got lobsters crawling out of my ears when I talk about wanting plate carriers and ballistic helmets and night vision goggles and other such things. You don't have to be a soldier or a flat range larper to be interested in that gear. I know people who use night vision and thermal scopes to hunt hogs at night. It's not weird to want that kind of thing.

Why wouldn't you want stuff that enables you to see really far in the dark? That's just a cool ability to have.
It was more the plate carrier and the helmet that confused them. I don't see why one would be ok and the others would be weird, but city folk don't make a lot of sense.
I bet the plate armour would protect you from getting gored by a wild hog.

Every member of my family has body armor. We also have a fortified room for the kids. Some people see our stock room and think we're crazy but everything could collapse today and we have the critical 5, food, water, protection, energy, medical. A 14member one family army. We were all told living at your moms house in the basement is a bad thing when really having 3 generations under one roof is what we should of been doing the whole time
What do you consider energy ?
Unfortunately most of those are not looked at by many people who have plate carriers etc. The reality is if it does go to hell, what will kill the most people is not bullets, but rather starvation, unclean water or no water, the cold, and a small booboo getting infected. While this equipment has it's place, it is not the end all be all and I wish more people realized that because I am willing to bet that she does not have more than a months worth of food in the pantry.

Word of advice from the great Dr. Garandthumb, it doesn’t matter how much gear you have and cool guy stuff, if you’re not training with it, you are going to die, so pt in it, train with it and become better so you can stop yourself from being a loot drop

The Daily Wire needs to get Issac Botkin on to talk about the work he did to repeal the ammo tax in Tennessee and how he’s been working on expanding carry. It would be good to show how you effect change legislatively in the states.

??? Yeah it is when the government tries to take our guns or any rights and we have to overthrow em we probably want body armor unless you wanna die instantly
I’ve actually been looking into buying some body armor. With how nuts the world is getting, the sooner the better I think.
If your caught out in the open even with body armor it won't do much good. It will slow you down. The lighter the better its not magic .
While armor MIGHT potentially come in handy some day...perhaps... The more important thing to do is simply get training from a COMPETENT instructor. See Clint Smith for further details, as en example. Most every person goes out to a flat range, with static targets. That ain't training. That's playing. The most likely scenario won't be that you require body armor. However, having the training for low/no light, or concealed carry, or defensive rifle, etc. to fall back on, might make the difference between life and death some day. Then, get the body armor, and search some courses for when you're all kitted up.
@@rodgersmith1573 I agree, it doesn't matter how good the tool is if you don't know how to use it. Training can take time and money but it's good to have a baseline.
Body armor can be a stand alone defensive implement. That's why you see journalists in war zones wearing it even though they dont have a weapon. Guns and training are great, but if thats not your bag, putting on armor to escape a situation and becoming harder to kill is not a bad idea.

also a pro to what you are talking about at 3:00 is that it presents a bigger area of the plate to a threat. basically more coverage of your vital organs with standing this way. great job! love to see this.
