I had a Fold 2 for about 2 years. The screen protector started coming up a bit at the corners, but the hinge was rock solid and I never had any issues with it. It was my workhorse phone for those 2 years, never gave me any issues.
From what I've seen online they do tend to last a good couple of years as @seanofthedead90 has said. After that the screens have tended to start peeling/cracking slightly. I can't speak for the Fold 4 or 5 in this sense as they're still both relatively new
I actually use both - I use Google Photos for backup-purposes or searching back through old photos but I use the Samsung Gallery for recent pics/videos and any editing.
Why does this Fold5 have such a weird edge color? Black and matte? I have a Fold5 now, I upgraded from a Fold3. My Fold3 had typically black and matte edges, and my Fold5 has black but glossy edges... Both phones came as a black variant... 🤔
It's to make sure you can see your fingerprints easier I think 😅 Jokes aside I don't know and hadn't even realised until you said as I got rid of my Fold3 a long time ago.

This limited color (maybe it is not limited on your market, I don't know, but it is not available on every market anyway - it is not available here - Gray - it is probably the only one with a matte finish like Fold3, the rest of the color versions have a metallic shine, even black version - including mine, Phantom Black. Only the Gray version has matte and black edges 😇
I bought used fold 4 and exactly in 1 day the internal screen damaged! issue with loose hinges pins underneath which is not visible and not covered with warranty.... sold the phone as is with big loss and worst experience with mobiles ever!

If u have a fold 2 3 or the og fold yes upgrade but the fold 4 its really not worth it

I don't have it anymore sadly but I don't remember it being any bigger than on my S23 Ultra - so probably around 25GB...

Hey man, I just got my first Android phone the Z Fold 5. Should I use Samsung Gallery or Google Photos?
You can do what you want of course but I use all Google, calendar ,keyboard ,photos, messages. And about a half a dozen others
