When I was really little I was excited for when I could have a go, but even when I was just a little older it was clear that there was something sinister about the pokies. People never left them when you talked to them. It was like there was an invisible leash keeping them there.

Some people are truly ignorant to these things, especially children and people who may come from cultures where these things aren't so well-known, and even senior citizens fall victim. Those who tell you that you're "ruining" the fun are making willing choices to ignore voices of reason, and it's not their fault a lot of the time, and it's never yours for doing what you can to try to help. I hate that shipping companies are allowed to sell lost packages 🤬! When you send or receive a parcel without insurance you are not recompensated if it never arrives yet somehow, instead of looking for the addressee or sender these companies are allowed to make a profit on items that don't belong to them?! As someone who's lost numerous packages over the years, I'm furious!
What makes you think they don't get compensated? A lot of people cancel they're orders bc they're not coming quick enough, they accidentally ordered it and they couldn't cancel it before it shipped out, or the company misplaced their order replaced it and couldn't figure out what to do with the old package.
