I had pictures of the mouse and just blanked out the parts where I thought I'd rest my fingers ... it was an educated guess, I didn't get the chance to try it before they did it 😅 glad it worked out! Also I wanted even more tension on Mouse3 because since playing Apex, I'm using wheel for jumps and if it's not tensioned, I get a heap of accidental clicks. I originally had mouse3 set to melee but you really don't want to punch the air each time you are trying for a jump, so had to change that to the PGDN button instead. Now I use mouse3 to change the zoom on the 1-2, 2-4 and 4-8 scopes. I gotta do a video on my cfg, it's kinda crazy but works really well. Side note: We could've gone lighter with a smaller battery, but for the sake of a few grams, I'd rather the longer hours between charges. It's all about finding that balance of features. Great review as always BT, thanks for checking it out!
bind "MOUSE3" "+variableScopeToggle" bind_held "MOUSE3" "+walk" :D For all those AutoSprint Apex Players...that use SHIFT for crouch ;D No clue why they hardcoded toggle zoom to sprint key...EA Things i guess. ^^
The wired version is one of the best mice I've ever used and I'm a claw gripper. The hump fits perfectly in my palm and definitely doesn't feel wrong. Love the scalloped mouse 1 & 2 too. Nice review BT, such an amazing mouse but an acquired taste.
I have the wired version, loved the shape, didn't love the faulty cable issues as much. So excited because my paracord should get released by customs this week (I hope), can't wait to go back to the GOAT of ftip shapes.
@@BTaesthetics yeah, what a shame that it won't be sold where I live in the foreseeable future (I had to grey market import my wired one). And to grey market import I'd have to sell some of my collection, and I won't sell my G303, that thing is still goated.
the MZ1 has always been my favorite shape. However, there's a VERY critical issue with the wire. After about 2 months of use, the wire (where it attaches to the mouse) always went bad. I'd get a second or two of disconnects. I've had this happen to all 4 copies of the wired version. ALL COPIES! This shows two things. 1. There's a flaw in the wire design. 2. I freaking love this mouse! Now that it's wireless, I am one happy person. Thanks to RJN and Xtrfy for innovating and giving us something that we've never seen before. Also, great review, of course.
Exactly this happened to mine after only 4 months. To be fair it was a discounted display item so it probably saw some abuse before I bought it. As soon as I RMA'd mine they announced the wireless version and they fixed the only other thing I disliked about the wired one which was the large hump at the back. I can't wait to get it two days from now.
Just picked up this mouse along with the GPX and G303. I honestly don't like the GPX and even though the G303 fits my grip great, it feels massive after using the MZ1. I'm not a weight snub, as I really don't play many games these days, but where the Superlight felt kind of cheap, the MZ1 is lighter but feels like a way higher quality mouse. Doesn't really make sense, but that's how I feel. haha All of the buttons feel really nice on this mouse as well. Honestly it was a shot in the dark on if I'd like this thing or not before ordering, but I'm so glad I did as it's my new main and I love it!
Awesome BT, I've been maining the MZ1 for a year now. Pre bought the wired when it came out. It's easily my favorite mouse as a reviewer and it is a main when I'm gaming. Really looking forward to getting this to try myself. Thanks for all the info brother. Really nice clean vid bro. Thumbs up and full view, ya know the algorithm god's stuff. Ha. Cheers.
HI Brandon . The battery on these mouse are easily replaceable, the standard has a 500mah lipo battery inside of it, but you will increase the weight by 2 to 5 grams in doing so.
Might have to give this a go. Just moved back to my g305 from the g pro and realized that little extra movement I can get before it hits my palm is very beneficial when tracking.
@@royaljoker3684 I main the Mz1 wired and let me tell you. It will feel narrower, shorter and more close to ground at the front also lighter but not less solid feel.. The copy might be prone to squeaky noises tho and if that the case some drop of lube in the problematic areas or friction might do the trick.
I purchased the wired version of this mouse recently. Though it's not for me, it's a wonderful object nonetheless. I now have it on display, plugged into my PC to show off the RGB glows. It's a good nightlight.
still crossing my fingers a medium version of Zy's Rail eventually gets released. Its a really fantastic feeling mouse and overall shape, but its just too small for my hands lol.
Did you see how Zy is gripping the mouse? His fingers are straightened out. It is not a normal fingertip grip. So he included the new back for everyone that is using a classic fingertip grip. I hate that that included back and stay with the original because I have a similar grip as Zy. :) Other than that -> Really nice video! ;)
Do you have any opinions of flat-back MZ1 vs flat-back M42? I use the latter right now and the shape looks somewhat similar, and I hope to be proven wrong
Im just going to come out and say it. The 10 gram battery in the dead center throws off the whole feeling that the original one had. The problem is not the weight itself but since all weight comes from battery it makes micro adjusting slower and less accurate and overall janky!! Build quality feels better but clicks on wireless dont feel as crisp. Still a good mouse but i think i might get a paracord for my original mz1 and continue useing it instead.
The new shell, better overall quality and USB-C is absolutely sick, but the holes on the sides absolutely ruin the mouse for me. Instead of just making the parts on the sides solid where Zy puts his fingers, they should simply have made the sides solid.
7:32 if u float your wrist over the mouse pad maybe you should try the "Deltahub Carpio 2.0". It's a wrist rest made of silicone with ptfe teflon feet at the beginning it will be awkward and annoying when you have to reposition your mouse on the mouse pad but after some day / week of using it i think u cant go back ^^
When i look at the Xtrfy MZ-1 i can feel my hand cramp. I have tried light mice and i just think anything under 70 grams is not great for precision imo. i would say 70 or 80 grams works best for me. and when it comes to shapes. the Zowie EC series and ZA series is the ones i have played the best with in FPS games. well the Endgame XM1 is good to.
@@theazool986 i’m a very indecisive person but honestly it feels much better in my hand than the superlight. performance wise i feel like i’m a little more inconsistent but i’m getting bigger performance if that makes sense? i was thinking about returning it but after getting back. to back 30/30 medium bots with it and not even getting 25 with the super light i’m gonna keep it

The 3370 is actually a better sensor than the 3389 despite numbering. That said implementation is more important metric.
