Hey, Provo Beast, do you have any input for me. I’m commenting on your latest post so please excuse me on that. 2005 GMC Sierra SLE base, non Bose. I installed a pioneer DMH2660NEX with aftermarket harness. Also installed rear view Ecoconut tailgate bezel camera. Head unit purple/white reverse trigger wired to cameras purple wire. Red wire from head unit tied into GM after market harness adapter, AND red wire from camera (3 reds in one crimp cap. And cameras ground wire to metal frame inside dash. Camera does not turn on when shifted into reverse, only turns on manually when selected on HU. Before the install, and just in general, my dimmer switch that controls the cluster brightness has been failing, the lights that show “(P)ark,(R)everse (N)eutral(D)rive(L)ow)” is completely dead. Do you think the miscommunication of the failing switch is preventing the reverse trigger to engage?? 😮💨😮💨
I have an 18 elantra. I plan on buying the same stareo and everything else in this video. Only difference is, Id also like to add an alpine kta-450 mini amp. I know id have to wire the speaker wires from the amp plug into the cars speakers through the wire harness kit. And not use the speaker wires off the alpine ilx-w670 plug. Is everything else the same though?

I have a 2018 Elantra. Just installed a screen thanks to this video. Definitely saved me at least 150-200$
