This is what I would primarily want it for. Also for heavy fog or rain. If I could output the image to my Stinger HEIGH10 I would be thrilled. Is there anything special about the display? It looks like a generic display to me.
That would be cool for driving through grave yards at night. Or old accident scenes looking for spirits and stuff like that. Not to mention disaster areas looking g for people. Love the vids Later
It would be cool if it worked with my Carputech touch screen so that there is a much bigger display and it can be integrated into all the other functions the Carputech has.
This would be nice. I'm more interested in having one to warn of deer on the side of or in the road. It would really be nice on the motorcycle. Deer around me have gotten so bad that I don't like riding after dark anymore. I was thinking about mounting my thermal scope somehow and streaming the feed to my phone while I ride but I don't like the idea of having a 7k dollar scope take a rock
Using it to have an early alert for deer on the side of the highway was my main use case. Based on the video, I'm not sure it would be too great for that. Kind of hard to find a good mounting point on a moder car that's not a Jeep or overlander.
Does this have a heated lens for winter/snow driving? Most currently available thermal driving cameras have this option. There is nothing on their website regarding this feature. This needs to be able to keep the lens clear during freezing weather.
Interesting indeed, but low resolution and with the crossing pedestrian it seems to have screen-lag of about 1/2 second which is pretty bad for the purpose this is meant for. I've seen IR car driving devices do better than this but thermal will catch things they don't. I worry about app updates since I've seen dashcam apps not get them, leaving you with far less utility than you thought you'd bought. Could be nice once the product and app matures fully, so let's see where it goes.
Yes a resolution is a little low but The sensors are not that high resolution yet for this price. That lag, every single thermal camera that I've tested and I've done about six or seven now have that little bit of half second leg every so often I don't understand what it is
Would be good for night driving in Australia. High risk of Kangaroo or even a wombat running out on the road when you come past. Those noises are quite annoying at the moment though. Would also be great in foggy conditions. I wonder how it would go in snow?
Yes that's an audible alert, I did ask the company if they were going to make a waterproof one for motorcycles and ATVs because it would be a great tool. The app is being updated so hopefully they'll add a mute button
Nice unit, but it's not AI. That's just marketing tactics. This thing simply has an algorithm that is preprogrammed, hopefully updateable, that tracks "known" shapes and tracks distance.
Not legal in most places to even have the switch, but what they don't know won't hurt you 😎 A lot of the newer cars run lighting through the BCM computer so achieving this may not be easy or even possible with all cars. I won't admit to having a rear-light kill switch in some of my older cars but it did save me from several traffic tickets.
Fancy little device Vin, great for all those unlit roads and hope it helps in blinding rain. Thanks for sharing
It sure would be nice in the fog
In total darkness it was awesome. Driving at night in busy areas I could also be handy.
Officer i did not poach this deer with this thermal imaging device…!!!
🤣😅
Things like this would be great for deers

@jameylawson8743 not sure what the outputs are to the display or if it's standard
I drive Lyft and Uber at night and specialize in bad weather driving. This could be interesting. Afraid all my passengers might want to buy one. Lol
Good idea. Keep one in stock to sell them 😅😁
@MotoCheez lol, never thought of that. I easily could.
Following for updates when you find some deer to test it.
I moved the camera to my front push bar so I'm going to be gathering some new video and I will be doing an update soon

Or fog.
Great for finding & filming Bigfoot.

Would be good for deer, and the newest version has wider 130 degree view

I remember when Cadillac offered a thermal imaging camera. Not sure why they quit.
My buddy rat had that model! I think it was infrared though not thermal

I don't believe it does. Guess we'll see how it works this winter!
My sister needs something (not me!) to tell her she is driving too close to the car in front lol :D
😂👍
Lights off through a Cemetary at nights could be fun.
Oooh. Good idea

Hey! What's the largest gb that it will take? Thanks!
128 GB

We have a lot of deer her. Wondering how snow is too. We'll see in a few months
That is pretty cool It would come in handy for hunting if mounted on a sxs. Is that loud "ching" noise coming from it?

@@MotoCheez Mute or adjustable volume please.
@P_RO_ I mentioned that to them
Can the device output to an iPad or other display?
Through the app you could via WiFi
Just FYI G wagon hood is too thick .
Can’t mount it :(
Aww, that stinks
They should call it" Predator Vision"
$459 would be nice , It would be really handy on a crappy place like I-405 highway🤣
Cheez is ready for night time pig hunting .
Walmart is the place for that
@thehardnesschannel1605 🤣
Kann man auf andere display anschliessen?
It can not connect to another display
Many uses
step one to terminator
😀😀👍👍
Does remind me of Terminator movie, when the unit shut off it should say "I'll be back"
@sacongo1624 yes!

This is how they describe it
The built-in AI algorithms analyze real-time data to enhance object recognition and alert you to potential hazards
Pointless comment ftw
So... AI
You cant even purchase this camera, it will never come to market just watch and see, people who try to reserve the cam will lose all their money!
Release date is in a few weeks
I tried to actually buy... The safest purchase option would time out ... 5-6 times in a row
@kafklatsch3198 I'll let them know. Thanks
Just need a kill switch for *all* your lights.
😀👍👍
