This week I’m still leaning into my 359 Peterbilt Project “Little by Little” that started this whole truck addiction thing and kicked off the channel. It’s been far too long since I started this project so I’m feverishly working to get it into paint. Didn’t realize how many hucks there are to brush around so I wasn’t able to get it all done, but I promise there will be primer sprayed in the next few episodes. Also give an update on #ProjectBuford and open the mail - enjoy!

There were 2 radios in the patrol car, a Pace CB and a Motorola police radio, probably a Micor series radio.
Mark, I don't know if you've gotten any of my previous messages but I have come across your movie. Correct white bar for the Buford car. You send me your email. I can send you the link. The only thing is that it does yellow lenses and not blue, but I'm sure the blue lenses are obtainable. I will also hunt for those
@@leroytift7024 I’ve actually found a correct Federal bar with blue lens 👍
If you're looking for a blue that pops, check out Dodge paint code PCL - Blue Streak Pearl. It's inbetween what you have on the door and the sleeper top and is brilliant in the sun. Nice pop.
Может лучше и легче просто про пескоструить?
I can't believe I've been watching that long....patiently! lol
I've said before... soda blast the truck bodies for paint prep. It won't damage hucks or chrome and you'll save yourself thousands of hours of messing around. Nice to see effort back on LBL ... now just stick to it, nevermind all the other projects... focus on 1 project at a time and you'll be finished in no time... great episode!
@@machinistbytrade Stay away from soda blasting, soda blasting leaves a residue on the substrate that is next to impossible to properly remove. Most paint manufacturers refuse to warranty any paint that has been applied to a surface that was soda blasted, within a year or two the paint begins peel. Properly neutralizing soda blast residue is nearly impossible due to the chemical bond the soda make with metal. I have seen people wet sand with dawn and vinegar just to have the paint peel within a year. Baking soda is chemically a salt and when it becomes trapped in body panel joints and cause problems down the road. Most people who recommend soda blasting have no actual experience with it. I have been in the business of automotive restoration and customization for 25 years and I remember when soda blasting began to gain popularity and within a year paint jobs were failing. I will not take any project into my shop that has been soda blasted
David Lee Murphy is by far one of the most underrated country singers of all time
LBL is my favourite ive watched you from the start. Really can't wait until its finished.
Dear paularmstrong...
👍👌👏 Same here, definitely. Although the bandit truck turned out to be quite amazing and already won a prize. But because of it's movie correct suspension, the truck is unfortunately quite uncomfortable to drive (bumpy ride).
Best regards, luck and health in particular.
Bodywork dont bore me looking good ive been watching since the snow days little by little.
I think a nice, beautiful sapphire blue would look great on that truck 😊
Mark, you are dedicated to your projects and however long the projects take the rewards will be satisfying. Keep up the enthusiasm!
Paint it the color that the sleeper was. I loved that color blue. It always caught my eye in your videos. 😎
Great...now I'm gonna have that song stuck in my head. Lol. A little dust on the bottle. Good morning everyone. Hope your having an amazing day. ✌️👍🙏🙏
Hey Mark, I'm sure you as well as me and other Hal Needham fans have seen that really cool painted art Hawaiian Tropic trailer in Smokey and the Bandit 2 at the Lion Country Safari scene when Charlotte has the baby I think, as well as Cannonball Run, during the Arthur J Foyt speech 18:48 seconds into Cannonball run, both made like practically around the same time. I'm just curious to know what happened to it if anyone else knows, it's something I think my dad even noticed back in the day and it seems like Hal Needham liked that painted art so much he had it in both movies. Thanks for noticing my comment , keep on building those awesome movie vehicles!
We appreciate you too, Mark. Don’t rush the project. It’ll get there.
Has it really been 5 years?! I've been around here since the very beginning, and it doesn't feel like that much time has passed. That's crazy.
Hello young fella, back in the 70's I painted 3 trucks in ford midnight blue metallic ,wow that pop's ,check it out. Keep moving forward!
I used to do auto body on busses when I was younger and with etching primer you just need a light coat it can be transparent some etching primers when you mix them you need to let it sit for a bit before you spray it. Have a great day and thanks for the video
Harley made the blue color you are looking for 👍
There should have been a note inside the package for the CAT hat. Hope you like it. It said you can’t be the Snowman without the Snowman’s hat. Jim from Horn Lake, MS. Enjoy watching your videos Mark! I saw Smokey and the Bandit at the theater back in 1977 when I was 12. Showing my age! 😊
Your videos are like waiting to watch Knight Rider Fridays at 8pm every week. Cheers keep up the great entertainment!
I love watching you work on the trucks you are a inspiration to all that watch your channel
I'm just glad that YOU are doing all the work and not ME !!! You definitely possess the 'labor of love' scenario !! Lookin' good !!
I laughed so hard at PORKCUP plates, should've just call it the ramen noodle express haha.
Love the videos mark keep them coming
I’ve always painted the top and bottom of windshields over the years. Just a 4-5” stripe.
What a cool freakin grease'n machine LOL... If you want a color that pops, check out House of Kolor.
Yes that's how it's spelled. They are a custom paint supplier in the U.S. They are known for doing cool colors,
but some of the paints are a lot different to spray, and not really for people that haven't sprayed a lot
of material, especially complex metallics and pearls...
For the people that are tired of waiting for the Pete to be finished, it's a huge project. Yeah Mark kinda jumped
past finishing it and started working on the KW, but that was his choice. I can tell you from experience that
you have to be 110% worked up about the project you are working on, because if you aren't, the finished product
will suffer, corners will get cut, and you will basically lose motivation. So if he was more enthused about doing the KW,
then that's the project he needed to be working on. The others will all get done in time...
I agree that the rivets do look really cool, but man that is SO much work. I'm glad I'm not doing it. It wouldn't have
bothered me when I was younger but as I've gotten older I don't have any patience, and I'm a perfectionist
so that's not a good combination LOL...
That picture is very cool. The person that did it did a really good job 👍 I can paint any vehicle, any way you want,
and it will be a true show quality paint job, but I can't do art work like that picture. I wish I could, but I can't. Not even close.
We love it when you talk Mark, there is nothing wrong with trying something different. It's just better when you talk. Lol, love the videos, brother!
I’m so glad you decided against that blue color you sprayed on that door panel. I thought it was too dark and dull. I think you should stick to a brighter blue color similar to what’s on the truck previously.
some metallic paints need a clearcoat finish to really POP!!
I definitely agree with the brass wire wheel but i would recommend a air power di-grinder. Spins faster so not as much effort and no dead batteries or hot drills. But it is more noisy like the da sanders
If you still have the "T-handle" for the drill, try that so you can keep your hand off the drill motor as you're covering the cooling holes while using it... maybe help keep heat down?
Go with a blue that matches your glitter ball 😉
@TwinStix, might I suggest Legendary Blue or Plenty Fish in the Sea Blue. Both are a vibrant color and contain a metallic or pearl essence that will really pop in the sun.
LBL definitely deserves a nicer blue with a tad more metallic to it
Love what you're doing recreating these trucks and saving them from the junkyard , you don't know how much I'd love to drive the truck aka Snowman's truck . Can't wait for the Cabover to get done , yep fan for quite a while and love what you do .
Love all your projects keep up the great work, does not matter how long it takes as long as your happy with it.
Can’t wait to see the Little by Little truck done and it would be nice to see you drive the Snowman’s truck like at the start of Smokey and the Bandit movie
Keep pushing thru on the tedious sanding. LBL gonna look great in primer and paint.
Great Episode 👍 Mark Keep up the great work Nice to see LBL Coming Along
Great job I have been following you for years, from when you first got Little by Little. I have very much enjoyed your Channel. Keep up the great job.
Barrie from Kansas
Gotta love waking up to a two sticks video cheers have a great day
Federal visibar twin beacon blue light bar is what you need for bufords cop car
You can get a 90/10 solar no reflective tint. Keep the sun rays and heat out.
I talked to Mrs twin stick she said you can add on to the shop!
that blue with gold flake in it would look amazing
Thank you Mark for the tips with the rivots I've been soda blasting mine on my 359 Pete so I tried the brass brush works great thanks for the tip have fun
Porkcup express got a ring to it Mark 😂
I've never seen that movie
Safety Lights and Signal webpage has those blue beacons. Not the exact same, but the Grote ones are discontinued in the blue. So enjoy watching every episode! Oh, and i say use the same blue as original for LBL. Just needs the right amount of clear and it will pop!
Working shop and as you said it best little by little 💙
Glad to see you back to work on little by little got to geter done love the Chanel keep up the good work brother and keep on trucking
I really like the blue you chose, but I’m looking forward to see the one that POPS!
While you were at the workbench doing your mail call I noticed that Stanley black chrome tool kit.
it looks to be the same exact set I have always seen
I have been looking at Stanley's site and they do not make that particular kit anymore and would and would love to have one when I go to junk lots for things
It used to retail for about 100 bucks.
Now other places sell that same set for twice as much and and seems out of my price range
Maybe someday I will get lucky and find one in my price range
But I usually have the snooze you lose way of things on me for finding things
Hiya Mark just a suggestion don't use your impact drill for cup brushes etc. Im shore you know where im coming from. Dig the content keep it coming cheers
Another great update, love to see the progress. Don’t forget that little mil impact needs air flow where your glove is to cool.
Look in ontario canada for your blue beacon light lenses. All hiway maintenance vehicles run them. Salvage yard in thunder bay has them
Just gonna hadta add a lean to on the end of the shop end by the house
Get more lifts to store the cars in the shop
Hope you read this.. but a mettalic midnight blue.. or a candy apple red. It will pop that's for sure, I've seen one in Australia and it was sexy as faaark
Hi mark love your live stream keep the video,s come nice to have you back.
great job mark, rather to do than you've done, loved the vid, riveting lol.
need double layerd 5% on back window and a chrome visor over the top
Chrysler B5 blue!
All GM steering wheels from that era fit
Love watching your videos keep up the great job
Hey Mark… you might need a big coverall behind the shop to store the finished trucks, cars and trailer. That would open up a bay or two🤙
Hi, twin sticks you're starting next year.Do you think you wanna build a small little garage just for the cars to keep him out of the weather in the elements?Good, that'll be possible next year.Small little garage for the cars
work work work keep it up mark luv your vids from ontario
Hey Marc, I had a midnight blue on my 2002 International Eagle 9900i with a little bit of pinstripping. It looked awesome when I had it all lit up with the chicken light's I put on. When you're at CMax, check it out! Best of Luck 👍🏻👍🏻
Looks like you are getting to it
As far as bunk glass goes I would recommend replacement with pre tinted glass like on SUVs and minivans on the back
Then I could see getting custom decals made to put the twin sticks logo on the back window plus little by little plus you're Wayland sticker that would be cool
I look forward to thursday nights about 9:30 pm when your videos drop down under. Been watching since you were working in the snow. I have an '85 K100 Flat top with cummins 400 big cam and 18 speed with similar paint as the "duke". Hope you keep the the old school look on that project. Just a thought, love your work. Cheers from Lake Maquarie NSW Australia.
You’ll need a windshield … unless you drive it part movie correct with the roof sheared off 😊
Hi Mark & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Mark & Hello Mrs Twin Stick & Friends Randy
Hi Mark, Some people forget that this is YOUR channel, and you should structure the content and commentary as you see fit. While some comments regarding overloud sound effects or dark videos may be appropriate if these issues are present, the people making spurious comments about you talking too much, not showing you working enough or your taste in music should vote with their finger and **** *** somewhere totally boring to watch paint drying.
P.S. I was not too fond of the silent episode either.
Hey Mark 🙂 Have a look at Bentley’s “Sequin Blue” and “Marlin”. Also “Kingfisher” which is/was used by Bentley and (maintaining a PACCAR connection) Foden as the launch demonstrator colour for the Alpha range back in the day 🙂 I reckon “Marlin” might be just what you’re looking for; “Sequin Blue” is darker but REALLY pops in sunlight, and “Kingfisher” is slightly lighter 😎
We here in NorCal don’t call it “metric or imperial threads” it’s “metric or STANDARD” 🤣 😂
Hi I like watching your shows doing great work
Lean to on the shop for the 4th truck
New some Winslow stripes on LBL
I see a Bob Ross mountain on the back of the sleeper .
That would be awesome!
@@walkertexasranger1996 look at the sleeper when mark is standing next to it .
At the back .
Very cool goodies . I have all three movies on Laser Disk.
& no its was on the videos 2 suffer from & watching u work on yur projects, is the reason I've been an original subscription holder of yur channel 4 in the 1st place.....
Hey Mark, never ever succumb to popular demand. This is your hobby and although we do as I said, live vicariously through you, you do things that your speed some of us just have developed an unnatural attachment to little by little I still have this idea that your OCD will get the better of you and you’re going to replace every hook bolt in the entire truck just because some of them have been sanded down and are not showroom quality dimensions, lol I’ve also wondered and I know you’ve put a lot of work into the fenders on the hood, but you have never thought about getting some of those custom Peterbilt fenders with the flares to the rear watching your show you take care and just have fun
Quazar blue is a awesome color.
i thought the silent episode was interesting and half expected it was due to you loosing your voice or something. No worries, YOU made a video and shared it with us for FREE.
Not bad I gotta say you really didn’t number a good job on the Kenworth, but I also want to mention that Ginny was literally has a tractor that he pulled out recently ago four years ago he literally rebuild it into homes, heavy record and it’s literally called HR 126. It was the coolest truck ever had a lot of features on it. Do you know if you would literally build yourself one tow truck you would try to make a cool design for it you can look up on UA-cam and see About the truck that I just say to you it’s called Genie Davis heavy rescuing and he literally has that cool truck also one thing I forgot to mention this truck was actually called a highway hauler. It’s the exact same chart that you got but a different one.
I have been watching from the beginning. Awesome projects! My background and your channel have inspired me to find my own project. Looking for a 359 Pete to start and then a 379. Love the videos.
@@jasongrahmann3007 careful … it’s highly addictive 😂
Hi Mark this is Mike in Indiana. Good thinking on the color. When you first painted that skin I thought that was it. It fit the truck well. But it seems as tho it has darkened so good call on something more flasher. By the way love the episodes, great channel
Dang. I need that wood steering wheel on ya bench! Would look good in my truck 🤘🏼😂
I have watched your videos for many years. However, Mark, I missed when you picked up the Frieghtliner.
At some point, update the year power plant, etc. Thank You
On The Hunt Ep.45 I Finally Found It 👀
ua-cam.com/video/TSsFlmhbmxI/v-deo.html
Your bondo looks like jalapeño in a stick lol Jeff Dunham wouldn’t let me show a puc
Hahaha porkcup.... Actually a good BBQ plate.
Hi mark, for LBL I like the blue that the bunk was and I think it would look good if you paint the front fenders gray
I think it should stay Porkcup! Makes a good story!
Hey, Twin sticks on the old face page. There is a collector's group for the overheads for the Buford car, the federal signal Visibar with the Federal Signal Twin Beacon Ray
Hi Mark I really don't want to say it but you may need a bigger Garage.I like what doing keep the nice work and keep Moving forward. DVT from Ontario.😊😂.
hey mark that blue looks good dont u dare change it
Hi
Do good job
Keep the body shop videos cumming, I love watching them. A very dark metallic blue that has a high % of Metallic in it would look very good on LBL. Chevrolet had a decent dark metallic blue they used in 2022 on cars.. I will float this idea by for some graphics, how about graphics to make it look like the Peterbilt from the movie" Black Dog" starring Patrick Swayze.
Hi Mark, for your back glass, can a glass shop fill in the chip? This way you wouldn’t have to replace the window and you’d get to keep your decals. Keep up the great work. 🇺🇸
Hey Mark, just a suggestion, but instead of PORKCHP, go with POKCHOP. Again, just a suggestion.
HEY MARK, DO THEY NOT SELL PRE PAINTED OR ANODIZED HUCK RIVOTS? I KNOW THAT WOULD TAKE YOU BACK BUT YOU'D HAVE A SMOTHER FINISH, THANKS FROM A RETIRED DRIVER
