I gave a thumbs up but I often couldn't see where exactly you were loosening & retightening the drain & filter. Also no lighting under the truck to see good. When you showed how to reset the oil indicator on the dash, the camera was so far away that I couldn't tell what I'm supposed to see. It was good information I didn't previously have but all I understood was I need to put the start button to run, not necessary to start, look for something like oil screen & hold the right arrow for 3 seconds until it resets. I had to rewatch 3 times to feel comfortable enough to try this & save $100 minus cost of oil and filter which was almost $45 for 7 qts oil of 20,000 mile synthetic oil and filter. You helped me save $55 for 20 minutes work, so Thank-you & no I won't wait for 20,000 miles to do it again but I will go 10. I'm at 5000 with my last synthetic oil change, but I don't know what kind of oil or filter was installed. My truck is a 2014 Laramie bought new in 2013. It has 62,000 miles on it so I don't drive alot. But it's been as far south as the end of US hwy 1 in Key West to NYC & Chicago to Dallas. I live in SC do most of my driving within 2 hours of home when traveling to get out of the house but we vacation all over the world. I appreciate your video. It will pay for a fill up by doing this myself.

Thank you for the thumbs up! I appreciate it, I’ll try to record more better and show the bolts better next time. Yes it’s not that hard to do yourself and to save money, it’s still crazy to me that people pay 100 or more just for a oil change. I change my oil every 3 thousand miles with full synthetic oil to keep it healthy

Where does your oil land on the dipstick???? Because idk I’m paranoid and feel like me putting 6 quarts was too much. Lol

Mines landed just a tiny bit over the full line so I was okay, but if u want just put 5 and a half quarts of oil and then check the dip stick and slowly start adding more until it’s on the full line.

Can I just change the oil filter without changing the oil?

Would not recommend, no point of doing that if your not changing the oil

3.6 engine is 5 quartz. 5.7 should be 6 quartz.
