Thank you guys so much for the comments on our last video, we really love reading your feedback and value all of the input. All shared knowledge is read and considered. We love you guys (and gals)!
Some of you may be like, what the f*$% , she didn’t go for the 1100?!?! Don't worry, I’m going to give a thorough explanation as to why in an upcoming video, just know that I am 150% satisfied in the decision I made, and enjoy the video! - Авто та транспорт
I clicked on this video as I am considering getting back onto two wheels after some years away. The Rebel 300/500 are among my considerations. I perked up when you said you were in Canada, as I am also Canadian. I wondered where you were, and then when you rode through town I realized exactly where you were, since I lived there a little more than thirty years ago! It was good to see the old town. It’s changed some, but still some familiar sights. Anyway, I was glad to hear you had such good things to say about the Rebel 500, having some experience on the 300. I think that is likely the choice I will make, too. Basically the same bike, but with some advantages with a bit more power and ease of use. I live on Vancouver Island now, and if ever there was a perfect place in Canada to ride a motorcycle, this must be it. Thanks for the video, and thanks for the (unintended) memories…
Thanks for your comment Neal! We really appreciate that and wish we were in Vancouver island also. That’s great to hear glad we could connect with you through a memory of your past! Safe riding I think the 500 is definitely the way to go! We have another video comparing the 300 & 500 coming out hopefully tomorrow.
Have you ever seen that SNL skit "It's Pat?" That's my mood for this video.
Hondas Rebel line is still the greatest imo. I thoroughly enjoyed my Rebel 300 and now my Rebel 1100.
Would you recommend the 1100 for a beginner? On rain mode?
@@mysticandroid57 I believe it could make a fairly good beginner in Rain mode. For smaller riders, probably not. A safer bet would be the 500 or the 300 for even lighter riders.
@@LinkFelton the only reason is I found rebel 1100 for a good deal, but still thinking about it, others say get a naked bike. Lol but I had my eyes on the 500 .. but the 1100 looks beefy hmmmm I'm doing my course in September. I used to ride dirt bike 20 years ago... But I don't want to upgrading a bike ...
@@mysticandroid57 insurance is a lot cheaper on a Rebel.
I always did the wave on my CBR. Bikers are bikers regardless of what you ride imo. Great video!
The 2022 Rebel 500 is my first motorcycle ever! I am in love with her! I been riding everyday from 1 km to now 4300 km! Mostly day to day work. The Rebel 500 is excellent for beginners! The seat isn't great for someone that's 230 lbs, I bought sheep skin to put on the seat and surprisingly it makes a real difference. I plan to get more accessories but we're nearing the end of riding season so I'll hold off on that. I live in British Columbia and I wanna explore more, but I'll wait till next year.
Thanks for the vid!
Also, I wave at all bikers and they all been waving back :)
Glad to see you finally got a 500. I am saving up to get one now. I almost got a 300 but watched your earlier video and I am more then happy to get a bike that I won't outgrow so fast.
Congratulations on getting your new back. I have been following you for a while and I love your videos and I am a new rider. I got a 2022 Honda Rebel 300 same color as yours and I love it.
Hi Evelyn, happy to have you here! The Honda Rebel is an amazing bike. Awesome that you got the 2022 version of the Rebel. They look so smooth! My 2019 300 didn’t have the slipper clutch. Now having driven the 2022 500 for a few weeks, all I have to say is wow, what a huge difference it makes on the newer editions! Happy riding! :)
Hey C.C., you show high class as a motorcyclist:
1. You remember to turn off your turning indicator shortly after you've done your lane change!👍😇
2. You blur out the lisence plates of the vehicles in front of you, or, when they get too close for viewers to read.
3. You show a "laid back" attitude in some degree, this shows that you have been "behind the handle-bars" enough to not be stressed out like some newbie riders.
You're a breath of fresh air in representing motor-cycling as a pleasant way to get around and not worry, thank-you so much for your great demeanor!🏍️🤓👍😇⭐⭐⭐🐻🧸 Doug, from the U.S.
Hey Douglas, thanks so much for the awesome comment!! This was great to read first thing in the morning. So glad to hear you enjoyed the video and thanks for taking the time to reach out. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
C.C. when a word of encouragement is needed to be brought out, I'm glad to say it-especially when it's true!🏍️👍⭐⭐⭐ Have an awesome Sunday of your own!😇 Doug
I did the demo ride on the 300 then the 500. 500 is by far better for comfort, ride, looks and sound. The 300 was good when I went for my M2 and possibly good for a first bike but be ready for a quick upgrade.
It is actually a new STANDARD with an accessible seat height! Sweet video! Exactly what a first impression video should be! Good Job!
Can’t comment on the rebel, but Honda bikes rock! I ride a VTX..
Bikers hand waving is cool..
Wicked video! Thanks I was between the 300 & 500 I think I’ll go with the 500! 🏍
I've never been on a bike outside of my MSF class, I went out and got the rebel 1100 and I love it.
Love this bike. Been riding motorcycles since I was 13, I am now 66, still riding. I have a 2012 KLR-650 right now, thinking the Honda Rebel might fit into my more calm years now. I even raced motocross bikes in the seventies, have owned 13 motorcycles total. Loved your review, very nicely done my dear!
Great video!
Nice video. The sound was perfect! Great choice for you over the 1100!!! Question...at one point in the video you passed a car on the left. If nobody is further left (on a three lane) or it's the berm, why don't you go way wide of the car you are passing? That will give you more time to react if they move into your lane AND more time for them to react in you need to honk at them. You always have to think that other driver could do something stupid and how you can get out of a problem!
Thanks you for the video .I like honda rebel class; they are beautifully strong that can attract any rider and none rider at first sight.
This bike is men friend and ladies man.
I love the Honda rebel, best beginner motorcycle for sure
Looks lovely am gonna test ride the Meteor hopefully this year! Sat on it the other day and liked it. A chap in the Uk just reviewed this (mark Pulling).
No me había decidido por la rebel 500 hasta que vi este vídeo, muchas gracias deseando probarla!!!!!!!
Estamos muy contentos de que hayas disfrutado el video. seguridad en el viaje mi amigo... lo siento si mi español es malo😅
Love this bike. Looking to get one of my own! Good to see how it handles the horrible Barrie streets haha
Great video, hope to see a better camera show up some day in your UA-cam Journey, just to help fully show off everything you want to!
I wave to everyone when riding my CBR600.
I'll do a head nod instead if either of us is in a situation where we might not want to take our hand away from the clutch.
Congratulations! 🎉
Thanks Deb! 🙏🥳
Great video, super informative! Keep it up
Love the rebels on a ninja now but my first bike was a rebel and it toughie well
Just picked up my first bike, Rebel 500. Love the trash day joke lol
Great job on the video. I am torn between the 500 or 1100. Pretty much just going to ride around town and in the country.
500 will definitely do but if you like to cruise over 100 KPH for long rides go with the 1100 also depends on your size.
So…I got my endorsement like two years ago, then almost a year later i bought the Rebel 500 2021. In between getting my endorsement and buying the Rebel I had ZERO experience riding…I still get nervous on things like a U-Turn or just turning in general. When you said you started with the GROM I felt like I should’ve done the same. My Rebel is just sitting there with no love because of my nerves 😫
Hi Adam, thanks for watching! I feel ya, in the beginning I needed something easy going to build up my confidence. With no experience, any kind of motorcycle can be intimidating at first. I outgrew the Grom in two weeks mind you, but I 💯% NEEDED that time to get to the next step. I also struggled with turning at the start as well and feeling comfortable leaning in. Taking a motorcycle course might be right up your alley. Check your local area for options, it’s right around the time of year when they have them and that’s something else that really helped. Safe travels!
Wow awesome bike!
It could be a good idea for a first bike?
You're actually funny 😂. I like the humor.
Awesome, thanks for sharing cus I'm thinking of getting the 500 rebel
Definitely a great bike! 👍🔥
I think I want a 500 Honda first bike
I'm excited this is going to be my first bike.
When I had a Kawasaki Ninja 250. I waved at other riders. I actually found Harley Riders were 50/50. Some waved, some were like harrumph. This might be my next purchase.
I think the gear indicator is messing with me. I tried pulling out in second 3 times and third once. Think in my mind it’s oh I have a gear indicator so I don’t have to check with my foot to see if I’m in first but I don’t even look at the indicator to see what gear I’m in. I have 2021 500SE and agreed with the just get the 500 I test rode a 300 I liked it but not enough power.
Just get into to habit of gearing down 5 times quickly when you stop I know it’s a pain but you’ll always be in first and after you get used to it and it becomes habit you won’t even notice.
@@CruisersCorner that’s what I did before I got my rebel. It’s only when I park I try to pullout in not first like I said I just think the gear indicator just put it in my head I don’t need to do that anymore. I also just need to remember to check the gear indicator as well.
The slipper clutch makes smooth downshifting easy as you slow down or engine brake. There is a sturdy little clunk when you hit first. It has a different feel from the other gears (you'll see)
Mine doesn't have an indicator. I would have liked one for the first few days, but soon you realize that you wouldn't look at it anyway.
Do you think the abs is a must-do option for a beginner? I found a good deal on a non-abs rebel 500, but not sure if I should just wait on an abs
I bought the green and I love it!
Here’s a tip. Smooth hand movements. 😊
I want this bike so much!!!! I want to take the special edition 😁
It’s a nice bike. Worth it
What are your thoughts on the shifting for a beginner on this big. Is it fairly forgiving?
Great bike for beginners
I am new shall I bye 500 or 300 ,, any advice 🙏
500
Are you on kilometer? not miles?
Hahahahhaahhaha whonis this guy who is on every trafick behind you? 🤣
You had a Honda grom but sold it after 2 weeks? Why?
Hello, thanks for watching! The grom is a fun little bike, just not great on the highway. Not enough power to be fulfilling long term (at least not for me) but great bike to learn on!
@@CruisersCorner I live in a big city. I have to go 50+ mph just to leave my neighborhood! Would the rebel 500 do good at 70 mph constant speed? Thanks for your reply !
@@MrSamurai47 absolutely, it’s great on the highway! If you’re going long road trips a new windshield/seat might be a nice idea, but the bike can definitely rip with highway traffic no problem! 😊
@@CruisersCorner thank you so much!
Why do you shift so violently, aggressive?
Why not?
พังหมดบิดกระชากอย่างงี้
So everyone just casually going 100 mph plus on the freeways lol
so, would a honda rebel 500 be a gook bike for the first time bike owner/rider? looks like a pretty easy bike to learn & operate but i also have zero experience with motorcycles.
This would be the perfect bike for you!
Great video!!
