We are Heather, Bradey, Alexa and Chloe. We purchased an abandoned stone barn in the foothills of the Italian Alps and we are working together as a family to renovate and restore this old stone barn into our dream home.
It’s very nice of you to provide a window for the goats to watch you shower! You are a considerate human!😂👍
I thought that, lol 😂
Yep. I envision the two goats on top of your roof for your beautiful logo. It's perfect.
As long as the goats have no access 🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hilarious 😂🤣😆
As a designer who’s in love with bathrooms and kitchens (have done a few for fun), my suggestion is to finish tiling the wc and bidet wall till the top line of the shower and keep all other walls white (especially if the bathroom has no window). Having a whole wall tiled up expands the height of the room while keeping it light with the other walls being white. I wouldn’t half tile other walls as it visually fragments the space too much and makes it look complex (not very relaxing). Another approach to bathrooms that works really well (especially, but not only, with skylights) is to tile every wall up to the ceiling. That gives it a sense of cocoon or nest by optically shrinking the floor surface like an embrace. It works really well with textured tiles mimicking stone or with dark/coloured tiles (e.g. square or vertical subway tiles). Looking forward to see the end result!
Getting worried what to watch when your house is DONE ?
So difficult finding worthwhile content to keep my old mind occupied but enjoyed your very hard work and honesty, a rare commodity today.
Greetings from a retired white South African Boer.
Well done on all your work. It was lovely that you thanked us for watching; so pleased to do so. You are amazing for all you’ve done and skills you’ve learnt. It’s going to be so beautiful when it’s all finished. Love the music BTW. Remember I said you’ll be getting money back for all monies taken illegally in our history. Debts will be forgiven and a whole bunch of stuff, that’s about to become real, hopefully days, weeks away. Keep going, you’re on the final run now and you’ll soon be inside and buying furniture. Best wishes :))) Wren…. Can’t wait to see it completed :)))
The color of the outdoor fireplace mantle really brings out the color of the natural stones! :)
Aside from the magnificent house, it has been wonderful to see your man skills progress from complete numpty at the start to competent semi-professional now.
Фантастичний краєвид!!!! Заради такої краси навколо можна і так тяжко працювати !!!! Успіху!!!
Looking Beautiful!!
We've enjoyed being on this journey with you. We look forward to your weekly episodes. You've done some AMAZING work. Thank you for allowing us to join you on this journey. Peace!
This is going to be an amazing home with a priceless view.
Your familys journey has been our journey because you shared it. Without your willingness to open the doors of your life to the world, we'd have only an imagined idea of what it takes to give up everything comfortable, uproot the norm and dive into such a huge undertakjng of preserving history and providing an entirely new chunk of history to a foreign region that never saw you coming! History will tell the story of the American travelers who settled here and embraced and respected the land, the culture and the history of these treacherous hills and restored and improved on the remnants of nomads and voyagers who established that hill hundreds of years before them! ❤❤
@anadaneen70 Thank you for your words - so very well said!! I agree 100% 💙💙
Congratulation, Guys, on your turning point, tiling the bathroom! Happy to tune in each week to cheer on your progress. :)
My dad use to say, when my mom painted, she put on three coats. One on the window frame, one on the window, and one on her.😊
That's cute hahahha
My husband sais the same about me jajajajas
I’m so in love with this channel! I love watching the Heather’s and the girls faces when a change had been made!! Beautiful rock work! 🙏🏻🇺🇸🎉
Thanks for sharing your journey with us, Brady!! GREAT WORK, MAN!! ❤❤❤❤
Loved your method of keeping the tile wet while you drilled the hole. Those final shots of the buildings in the valley through the mist were so gorgeous. What a beautiful place to build your home and raise your girls. Looking forward to seeing what comes next!
I would like to Thank You both for letting us in on your journey of all of the hard work that was done by everyone on your absolutely incredible beautiful home! I have enjoyed all of your videos and love seeing what is accomplished every week. I can’t wait to see your final video of your completed house. I just love Italy where my ancestors came from and would love to visit someday! You and your children especially are lucky of all of the wonderful memories that you have shared and have video documentation of your entire journey of your last couple of years that will last you a lifetime. God Bless You all and I wish you a lifetime of happiness together in Italy! I love you and your family and I’m so happy to have watched your entire journey!
I am so grateful to be on your journey with you. Thank you for allowing us to come along. Fabulous.
Thank you for including us! I so so look forward to seeing your videos every week 🥰
Normally when you come to the end of a run of tile and there you transition to a different type of surface, the last tile at the transition line should have a finished edge which is called a Bull nose tile , rather than a cut edge or unfinished edge..
Here in the US, there is a metal edging that can be affixed to the wall and tiled up to. Very clean look.
The "Shuko" adapter doesn't work properly because it's the wrong one. Your plug is a 2 poles and ground but your adapter socket is 2 poles WITHOUT ground. 2 Poles are Phase and Neutral and Ground is the protection conductor. Some of your tools is 2 Poles, some other tools is 2 poles with ground. Have fun !
You wrote exactly what I was thinking of commenting. I don’t think you can buy tools here in Sweden without. And absolutely forbidden in wet places like outdoors, kitchens and bathrooms. The very particular electricians you had there will be aghast if they read of your ignorance and see what you did there plus order you to get something else.
I think that you are wrong in one part of explanation. It is not wrong adapter just he didn’t pay attention when he plugged in and bent ground connection “wire”. It can happen if you use force during connection. He just needs to return wire in its place not to cut ground protection in extension cord.
They probably have a different system in the US. A bit scary. Don’t do this at home…
@@dobricailijevic @4:33 he clearly shows the extension cord has no ground, so it's illegal to use for grounded equipment in wet enviroments.

The house is amazing! It's a great honor to see him born!
Always find the centre line of each wall and start from one side of the centre line, this way you will always have equal cuts on each side of the finished wall.
Absolutely beautiful. The whole place is stunning..even in the construction zone. You have built a really peaceful place that your family can grow and make amazing memories. Thank you for taking us along!
Thank you for allowing us into your world. You've come so far into this build, it seems a million years away since you got the keys. But look how hard you've worked, and it shows. The end is so very near. I can't wait to see the final result x
I SO ENJOYED this episode, and truthfully, I think a good portion of that enjoyment was seeing you dive in and push back your anxiety about the project, which is how so many lovely acts of progress are made possible! Kudos on such absolutely inspiring and beautiful your combination of true grit (no pun intended!) And attending to detail are proving to be❣️ SO SATISFYING!!
THANK YOU for the privilege to share your excitement and building of your forever home!
What an amazing journey you and your family have been on. What lovely memories and an enduring legacy you are building for your precious daughters. Thank you for allowing us to share this exciting journey. Your vision, determination, and courage are inspirational. Much love from South Africa.
Just a few random thoughts on ceramic tiling in glorious old Italy...
1. There is nothing better in the world than quality Italian tile. They manufacture an amazing product, so get comfortable and gain experience using the best tile in the world.
2. Take your time applying the morter. Keep your grooves deep, and take the time backbuttering each and every tile. Make sure there are no air pockets behind there.
3. Your Laser will keep you on the horizontal line. That's vital. The consistent gap between each tile isn't all that critical.
4. Your saw will allow you to make perfect cuts. That will make the job so much easier.
5. Finally, only work with perfect morter. When it begins to harden in the bucket too soon, toss it. Not worth the effort to uses dry, hard morter. Just mix a fresh batch.
6. Consider tiling that third wall. The more tile, the more elegant that bathroom will feel.
You are so good, soon you'll be right in the zone doing this.
Er, for those of us who understand the concept of 'TIME'.....
..... he's actually DONE the job......!!!
... although, I suspect this is another case of somebody keen to tell the planet that THEY know how to do something.....!?!?!
@andymccabe6712 thank you for your wonderful insight.
22:15...you deserve to stand back and admire all your hard work any time you want. I'm so impressed at all you've done!....and I'm glad you survived all that back breaking wheel barrow/digging/etc from your floors! take good care of yourself!
Your talent is not lost on us. I find your dedication to your home amazing, and can’t wait to
see your videos each week. ❤ Thank you for sharing all your talent with us.
Brady it has been an absolute pleasure joining you weekly to watch your journey to a beautiful home in Italy. You and your family are a delight. Thank you and God bless you.
Thank you for letting me watch you build your family's house. I'm sorry if the videos end, because it was nice to see the progress and hard work week after week. I hope to see more videos later, about the garden, the equipment, etc. Greetings from Hungary!🥰🥰🥰
Me too, I hope they will continue with landscaping, driveway, sauna, multi Tier water slide.( you are welcome girls!)
So exciting to have you back in the house. All of it is your masterpiece. I too am so happy to be a part of your journey 💗
I just realized I've been following your journey for almost 3 years. ❤
There is no need to hang a rope on top of the fireplace for a pot or pot. You need to attach a rotating bar with a hook to the side of the inner wall, on the right or left, for convenience. He turned the bar towards himself and hung the pot, turned it away from himself - and the pot was over the fire.
24:48 magical!!! Hard working guy like you deserve a beautiful home. Looking forward to the finishing touches. Lots of love to you,Heather and the girls all the way from India.🙏🏽thanks for including us viewers as part of your journey
I have been watching your videos for a long, long time. I absolutely love your family. You are so talented!!! I have enjoyed watching the whole family participating in making your house a home. The memories will be treasured for many generations to come. God bless your family.
Thank you for sharing your journey ❤
Thank you Brady, for sharing your journey through this amazing build. I am honored and grateful to have met your beautiful family and all the amazing work crews who helped along the way.✌🏻❤️🙏🏻🇺🇸PA
I look forward and constantly check for updates from you. Living vicariously through you out of OKC for upwards of 2 years now----Incredible voyage!!!
@raisingvoyagers The view across the valley to the village is sublime! When you’re finished with construction and have moved in, it would be equally interesting to see the view from the village to your home. Consider having a local artist paint those views. You could either keep the originals to display in your home or have a subscribers auction and sell them for profit. If you were to issue prints on museum quality paper, I’m fairly certain a number of us would buy them as well. Perhaps Heather & the girls might take lessons in watercolor or oil painting? Seems to be an opportunity to raise money to pay for renovations and fund future projects around your home. The setting of your home is pure bliss as far as I’m concerned. Not only is the setting idyllic, but it’s Italy, one of the most beautiful places on earth. Thanks for sharing it with us!
"Consider having a local artist paint those views." What a great idea!
I've watched every episode, full of admiration for you all. Believe me, it's been an honour.
It was so nice to share the excitement of working on the bathroom tile. Wonderful progress.
Brady, your home is coming along nicely can’t wait to see you sitting back relaxing and enjoying all your hard work.
It has been an absolute joy to have been with you all on your journey. What a project with so many challenges overcome with aplomb. Good luck to you all.
I've thoroughly enjoyed watching your channel! Your restoration of the stone barn has been absolutely fascinating, but I have to confess, I am amused and entertained by your 2 little girls! I think they are the best part of your videos! Kudos to Mom and Dad for being great parents!
Brady you epitomize

Thankyou for allowing us all to watch your journey, from when you first started to now, the process of watching you turn this Barn into a living home, is a beautiful story, to what you have created, I love every aspect of this journey, with yourself, your beautiful wife and children and everyone that has been involved along the way, can't wait to see what else you vison shall become, as when your describing your vision, then seeing the final outcome, its turning a magical dream into a reality.
So excited for you and Heather that the finishing line is in sight ! You are sooo able in everything you undertake and your attention to detail is fantastic ❤ Exciting times! Such a privilege to watch your journey ❤❤
It’s been wonderful for me to join you and your family in the creation of your dream. I look forward to each episode! I’m learning a lot!
For someone who's never laid tiles before, I think you must be proud of you 👏
I enjoy hearing the Northern Italian spoken. when you and the workers speak. My parents were from Emilia Romagna and it brought back memories. Great job.
Ciao
Your channel is like a festival of good moods and fun moments. Keep lifting our spirits with your beautiful creativity!🐫😅🏖
He said …“page 72”…cracked me up!
Thank you, watching you and your family since you buy the house! Excellent work and masterpiece. Look forward in seeing other parts of this beautiful stone home transform.
Yes. And for additional clarification: It's actually pretty dangerous to use any electrical device which is designed to have a protective ground connection, with an adapter without ground. There should be other extension cables with the proper socket available in your local store.
I’m so glad to see you again and inside too.
I am eager to see how beautiful the interior will be, and to see what you do outside too.
What a nice Saturday surprise.
Ciao Bradey, sono un italiano che vi segue dal vostro 1° video, sono io che ringrazio te e la tua splendida famiglia. Sono rimasto stupefatto da come avete trasformato quella baita in una bellissima casa, BRAVISSIMI. Voi Statunitensi siete operosi, tenaci, intraprendenti , sarete sempre i benvenuti in Italia ! Ciao Guido 👍
Well done with the tile. Yes, it has been a journey. We have enjoyed it every step of the way. Thanks.
Oh my gosh everything looks incredibly beautiful! I can’t believe this is the same place. You guys are amazing
Best day when you come on! ❤what an amazing journey! Can't wait for you to be in the house!
The tile, just like everything else, looks magnificent! It’s been a privilege to be invited in to observe this project. I hope we get a little peek of you all enjoying your hard work.
You guys are amazing and it has been a wonerful experience to share your vision and journey freom the very beginning.
👏👏👏👏so happy to see you working inside the house gosh you have come a long way. Well done to you all. Super excited to see the finished product💞🙏👏👏👏
What a beautiful home you are creating. I'm enjoying the journey with you.
Very cool episode!
This looks amazing. It is going to be a truly beautiful home. Thanks for letting me tag along!😊😊
I'm so happy for you every time I see you open those lovely glass doors!
I learned to tile the same way you did. By doing it. 😊 By the time I finished tiling the first bathroom in my house I couldn’t wait to do the other bathroom because it was such an improvement.
It is going to be so Beautiful when you get it finished won’t be long now 🤗
Absolutely beautiful, your stone Mason is a craftman. Best wishes and God bless.
Happy for you all!! What a beautiful project!!
Your out door fire place it is full of beauty. Who would have ever thought of that. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Today was a good day! Thanks for sharing your journey.
I love watching your home evolve and look forward to watching the future changes. Thank you for sharing your life!
The skylight in the bathroom looks amazing.
it has been a joy watching your amazing progress 😘
Looking fantastic tiling was never my favorite thing to do but the results are worth it great job👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The tiles look amazing! Excited to see what is next!
You can use a wet sponge to sand, but make sure you squeeze out the water. You should have bought clips for the tiles; much easier.
We are not spending our time on your videos, but we are enjoying watching it. This makes it a win-win🤩. I cannot wait to watch you in the begnning of the summer when about all is ready.
Thank You so much for sharing your family and journey with us . Amazing and gives me something to look forward to every week ❤
Oh my goodness!! Y’all have worked so very hard toward this and being able to see the light at the end of the tunnel so to speak is truly worth it. You indeed will have a beautiful home and we all thank you for sharing it with us. So happy for you all! ❤
An other tip, at the corners of tiles, or when the „open side“ of the tile is visible, we use stainless or chromed profiles to cover and protect the edge.
Blessings!! What a beautiful job you have done!!! So excited for you and your sweet family!!
Outstanding tile work! Like everything it's magnificent!!
The amazing notice that you pesonally are very much professional in most of the trades .
A tip from my tiler. Always plan your layout first, keep any cut tiles out of eye level and plan not to have tiny cut strips which are prone to break.❤
Good job on the tiling and great selection on the tiles too. Would’ve never have guessed you were nervous. ❤❤
Congratulations 🍾 👏🏼👏🏼
I would put at least one row of tile against the floor along the last wall to protect against toilet overflows.
I am so excited to see how you choose to style the house once you move in!
Can’t wait to see the finished house!
Thank you for sharing this amazing journey and so well done, your home is beautiful
Great job on the tile! Looking forward to the next project.
love watching your progress
