I bought this microphone around 5 years ago. I was looking for an AKG C214, but after knowing Lewitt has AKG heritage, I gave it a try. It's a really nice mic for vocals, acoustic and electric guitars and basically anything you want to record. It's very clean, it doesn't have harsh highs, very low self noise, and the included magnetic anti-pop and suspension have a clever design. The best in its price range, by far.
Have to say love the 440 pure and support is the best! Had a problem with my spin and it was solved easy and perfect by Lewitt sending me a the replacement part. Great service!
I have a 441. Clear, detailed and easy to use. The sound is tonally well balanced with a pro 'sheen'. I have owned and used a great many condenser microphones. This one's a keeper!

I won the LCT440 Vida in an SOS competition. I use it as my vocal mic for recording and it has a nice even tone to it, especially useful as my voice can be quite strident at times. I find I don’t need to EQ this mic as much as others I’ve used. It works equally well on instruments and I do plan to get another to use for recording guitars. The shock mount it comes with is excellent - easy to set up, but also with a small profile which means it doesn’t get in the way. The clip on pop filter is also low profile, but it works really well. I can’t recommend this mic highly enough

Love the LCT 440 pure. Got one and suits my voice even better than the U87AI. If I want to upgrade to a more professional mic, would you recommend the 640 TS or the Pure Tube?
Both great options. The LCT 640 TS will be very similar in character to the LCT 440 PURE (so it will feel more familiar) while the PURE TUBE has less pronounced upper midrange presence and a full-bodied sound that is characteristic of tube mics. It's nice if you want a softer, smoother kind of top end.
Both are great! Large diaphragm condensers, like the LCT 440 PURE, generally have much lower self noise which can be beneficial for very quiet playing. They also tend to have a smoother sound due to their transient response. Small diaphragm condensers like the LCT 140 AIR have very fast transient response, allowing a detailed punchy sound that cuts through a mix well. You also have a tone switch so you can chose between FLAT and AIR mode for a different creative sound with the LCT 140 AIR

@@LEWITT-audio I often record a youth symphony orchestra live. The 440 can be used everywhere but I often end up using it on the brass section as it takes louder instruments better than any other microphone. In the studio setting I love to use it for solo vocals and all instrument when close. I preferential small diaphragm microphones for x/y recording from a distance and so far used Rode...but I have tested Lewitt LCT 040 with good results so maybe I will buy some of yours next time.

Whats the difference between the 440 and 441 just the polar patterns? Is the capsule exactly the same ?

Nice! You should also check out the LCT 140 AIR Stereo pair, which is also very versatile with two switchable sound characteristics--AIR and FLAT.

Great mic 🎙️. I bought it for my vocals. So happy with 🥰. Results are better than with dynamic mic 🎤 in my bedroom/studio.
