Why would there be over 40 thumbs down on this video. Some people just hate their lives, so now they watch people's videos and take their moods out on the video... Rather go see a Phycologist, don't come thumbs down here on auntie Fatima beautiful videos
I’ve made these twice now and both times they turned out just perfect! Thank you!
Capetonian staying in George for the last 3.5 years. We love it here, but man did this make me feel nostalgic. Unfortunately there’s not a lot of Cape Malay people in the Garden Route so I haven’t had a real koesister in ages. I really do miss the culture and food
Oh my stars! - that took me right back to when I used to help my mum sell the koesisters on a Sunday morning! The queue was always so loooonnngg! Wonderful memories ... and the smell of the spices throughout the house was amazing! x
Alhamdulillah you always have a good sense of humour 😍🙌

Fatima you taking me waaaay back to my childhood - my mom used to make this every Saturday and the house would be filled with that lovely smell of fresh koeksisters. On Sunday mornings she would syrup a batch and we would have it with a nice cuppa tea.
I have to be honest...the giggles were initially a bit odd but by the 3rd video i knew when to expect and looked forward to them ... NOW are you looking for any boarders... thank you for your non complicated ,simple , and non intimadatory style to cooking... which will encourage many to try WELL DONE
I'm not really one to comment on UA-cam vids, but I gotta say, this was a really good video. Informative, easy recipe and something I've always wanted to make, because I absolutely love koeksisters! Hi Aunty Fatima, i studied in Cape Town and i remember tasting some Koesisters in Adderley Street. I'm now based in London and i've been craving for some familiar sweet treats. I stumbled upon this post. Thank you for sharing. I'm going to make for my husband - can't wait to make for our future children too. yummy :) * i love your personality - so motherly and friendly. Made me miss home.

Thank you very much, Fatima - what a generous gift to share this no-knead recipe (I’ve been too intimidated by all of those starting with potato, and taking days to make!). Once they’ve been sugared and “coconutted”, how long will they be nice to eat (will they keep for a few hours, or do you really have to do that at the last minute)?
My first time making koeksisters and they tasted great. Thank you for the video.
Tried it my first time and wow neva gona buy koeksisters ever again thank you so much .just love all your recipes
