I am a old-school WHFB Wood Elf player who did pretty well at tournaments and I can confidently say Tree-kin were not at all a must-take unit. They didn't have the combat resolution or the damage output to take on massed infantry, and they weren't really tough enough to stand up to a cavalry charge either.
Absolutely sublime mix of bullet-point concise valuable information and beautiful armies on display. The perfect one-two punch, exactly what I was looking for! Excellent work.
Ogre Kingdoms - Slaughtermaster with Hellheart. Have fun watching the enemy's wizard explode in the midst of his death star. All the more fun if the enemy wizard happens to be a vampire lord.
Little nitpick. Pick it on a firebelly/butcher instead. If you field a slaughtermaster, hes gonna be your general because of the cost. Therefore he really needs a lot of protection. The 50 points of a hellheart are well spent on survivability.( fencer's blades, armor, talisman, crown of command)
For anyone intersted in playing fantasy, take a look at The ninth age (t9a), made by many diffrent people from all over the world, that refused to give up on fantasy over 6 years ago, true passion project.
Really entertaining video, but who did you talk to? =P Witch Elves in the flank? A horde of wiches with a cauldron is probably the best "head on" unit in the entire game.
help with the answer. I need to know what Duplicate Choice means from the Army Selection Summary Table (where for Special units you can take up to 3 for armies
My experience of lizardmen was rather different. Did play earlier editions but skinks scouting ahead and running amok with poisened ranged weapons could be pretty affective.
You didn't play with or against High Elves, they play similiar to Dark Elves. They are not a ranged army, they have superb melee units that must be support each other, like Phoenixes, mages, bolt throwers are all there to support their melee units. One of the most durable death stars of the game, World Banner silver helms are from High Elves! Their toughness is same with... %70 of the game. I think you did not play the game that much in the competitive scene, maybe we were a bit cheesy idk.
Alarielle with 30 man phoenix guard/white lions, banner of world dragon and 2 extra mages. You can ressurect, T7 and 3++ against everything and 2++ against magic etc. It was pretty cheesy lol
I'm sorry but I'm new to this. Does everyone put the chaos demons in the same bag? Every video I see puts them in a box refered as 'chaos demons' (varied and powerful), however when i watch a battle report, playing with nurgle or slaneesh seems *very* different. Why don't they get their individual "general gameplay and game feel explanation"? Are they really that similar for a seasoned player?

“Fantasy” is very much alive, there is 2 diffrent systems that evolved from the death of 8th. The ninth age (t9a) and warhammer armies project (9th edition). T9A being the more balanced (no special characters) with rules explained to the bone, ie less rules confusions. Warhammer Armies project, is full of the fantasy flavour known from the original setting, and adds even more cheeky rules ontop (this version is only fun if players agree to not build extremely broken armys, which can be hard not to in this version). Personally i would recommend T9A ( mainly becasue a guy in my group won every game he played for 1 year, and refused to change army before we beat the one he had build.) You might want to try 'Warhammer Armies Project' as well. An unofficial 9th ed. It's less tournament focused.
I've been slowly collecting vampire counts since 3rd edition myself before they became the vampire counts.
