Love the kobun I’ve also modded several and they look really cool I just wish that now that cold steel has traded hands and have been making some changes I’d like to see a steel upgrade maybe some d2 to keep it cheaper or cpm s35vn as a more premium option
I'm pretty sure it's a hollow grind. I have one now, and I don't think I would do any heavy chopping or batoning with it. It's a good piercer and slicer for sure.
Really good looking knife. Surprised Cold Steel let it go out the door without a razor sharpe grind. Compound grinds you definitely need to be careful and take your time sharpening.

I use Mora,Buck 311 and SAK,or any knife I see around me…There are thousands of knives and I can’t say I have favourite one..Whatever you have on you,that’s your best friend,even butter knife,you can sharpen it on the stone if needed…

My favorite fixed blade for EDC is the White River Backpacker. 3 # inch blade of S30V with a deep finger choil, weighs 2.45 ounces, 95.00.

So it's rubber, but I wouldn't really call it soft rubber It's more like a medium too hard rubber. It feels pretty good in the hand. Thank you
