As a contract computer programmer, California law AB5 is completely ridiculous. None of my customers wish to hire me fulltime or even part-time for the work I do, yet this law requires them all to do so. There are many such jobs which are not compatible with the provisions of AB5 yet there is no acceptance of this reality in this stupid law.
The committee member's time should be increased every time someone fails to directly answer a question that was asked.

The goal here at this committee is get specific answers. They ask questions like they do for specific answers. Adding all the ins and outs, ups and downs, this or that is nothing but obfuscation, a lie. The bottoms lines will tell the story, and all the little crap will be adjusted according to the bottom line. That is how it works.
For 2 years I have watched nominees filibuster 90% of questions asked to them by various committees. Why then, do any ever get confirmed? Congress is impotent and shouldn't be paid until they get answers that the public wants to hear regardless if they agree. Yes or no. Say one of these two words, then they can rant. Give each committee member 20-30 minutes each so we the people can hear real answers. Damn it.
