Just came back in the Bay from Oahu and I’ve watched your videos when you’re in HI and I love it. 🤙🏼 I came across this video, and I must say that nothing beats the green mangoes of the Philippines. I bought some green mangoes in Waikiki since I haven’t had them in over 10 years but it didn’t taste like how I wanted it to taste. The rambutan was good and the santol but I still love our Philippine green mangoes. Just saying 🙌🏼🤙🏼🌺♥️ @garethleonard

The gym where you played is where we used to play pickup games with my friends back in the day, it also double as our P.E classroom as our school is pretty near the plaza. 😂 I also had some fun times at the football field as I used to play for my school's football team. Thank you for visiting our city, though you have filmed this a while back, still thank you. You were able to reaally dig deep into the batchoy origin, although a few steps away from Netongs was our local version of starbucks... You could have enjoyed a brewed native coffee from a nearby stall, the Madge coffee shop...
For the mangoes, we have different varieties, but I believe the one you had was the green mango, which is the unripe version of the Philippine mango. We often have that for snacks or appetizer than dessert...

Great Vlog Garethe keep it coming. Iloilo is a great city , I’m was born thre in 1941 and know not much about the city except from my families who all had to be repatriated back to Japan right after the war.Being Half Japanese was hard for us to stay in the country but it is good to know how much this has changed.Many Japanese Filipino suffered the same fate due the war which could not be avoided.
