The facts they are source ports, gives me hope of extensive modding, personally.
Does this mean that they use the original source code of the original games? If so does that mean that existing mods will be compatible with this version?
This, give me something that isnt cancerously limited and jank to edit in a gba game, though the tools here are second to pokemons, you still need to know memory addresses and stuff but you can locate them.

larger navi customizers, the "story" programs required for progression in bn3 that waste valuable customization space (seriously. fuck press and alpha), bug-free navi customization, new chips, cosmetics.
this looks like a ton of love has really gone into this. almost like this was capcoms favorite version of mega man or something.

They really should give people a chance to make more fan games. If capcom itself isnt making more new games, what's so bad about making more custom games? The only one i genuinely enjoyed that is its own original game is Touhou battle network, plays like the originals but is completely new and has alot of cool mechanics , dark chips no longer cut away hp so you can use them as many times as you want without worrying about the penalties

An up to date and more realistic PET is where my mind goes every time. It could be like the Digimon Vital Bracelets but go far beyond it. Imagine it connecting to your Siri or Alexa devices to be an extension? Chips can be real and used in live device to device battles.
Dube that PET should connect to the VB BE think about a navi and digimon in the same device, fuck that it should have a dim slot.
OSS, and then OSS 2 and further, would be really nice.
At the _very_ least, a SF collection will happen if this collection sells, and I could easily see a BN5 Double Team DS being included in a SF collection since it'd all be DS games, instead of GBA.
It's a super extremely unlikely thing, but I'd absolutely _love_ it if BN7 and/or SF4 get greenlit off the success of this collection. We've already seen Capcom make Megaman 11 after the success and interest in its related collection, so getting BN7 and/or SF4 would be the dream of dreams, especially since there were already pretty clear concepts for SF4 at least.

My biggest hope is that if the legacy collection does well enough. We might get a return to this series. A return that is desperately needed in my opinion. This game series was my most played game series. More important to me than Pokemon, Yu-gi-oh, Fire Emblem, or Final Fantasy. I still remember how ecstatic I was the first time I beat Alpha in Battle Network Blue! How excited I was when I received Metal and Proto soul, in my first playthrough of Blue Moon. How worried I was when Megaman became DarkMega in Team Protoman, and how excited I was to see old faces like Magnetman, Knightman, and Shadowman. And much I enjoyed everything about Gregar and Falzar. The first Megaman game I 100%. Network 3 was my first. But still to this day I replay 1 - 6 on my gameboy. But man did I feel betrayed when a Battle Network 7 didn't happen. I just kept replaying 1 - 6 hoping for something to change.
Yes!!! The possibilities are infinite!!! I just can't wait to see and screenshot ALL of the battle chips HD artworks. I wonder how amazinz Paladin Sword and Gaia Sword will look!
In my case, taking in consideration the possibility of modding.
I really want to see Gaiden stories, which could be stories where we can play another Operator/Navi, and see their perspective on the story.
Or even their own original stories.
Side characters, support like the Link Navi Operators, or even the antagonists.
I'm a sucker for these kinds of stories and for the BN characters.
Yeah, I'm biased but I'm curious for that idea.
At least we're getting the E-Reader cards in the base game as well as the Boktai content. I'd personally like to have more Home screen navis as DLC
Dunno if it was mentioned but all of the playable navis from 4.5 that werent in sequels made playable would be q lot of fun
I wonder if they reworked any of the tracks in the series. The music in this game was so well done, I bet they could make some pretty sick remixes! 💎
Here's my crazy idea: Have additional content where you play through the entirety of Bass.EXE's tragic past as actual gameplay, instead of a small snippet of part of a cutscene in BN3. And to incentivize playing through it, (if getting to play Bass in a Battle Network series isn't incentive enough) this side mode would have you earn rewards that could be transferred to the main game after completion, similar to how the "Special Episodes" of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky worked in that game, where after completion of the side story, any items you found and picked up during that story, would be given to you for access after the story was concluded, even if they were lurking in your inventory as you beat it
I hope Boktai does make an appearance in this series again!!!

It's been confirmed, Boktai chips and story will be included the collection!
Only thing that won't make it is the Cross Battle, since you need the Boktai games to do that, but everything else will be available.
Honestly, the amount of work they have already put into the game with live service features like the ones at 3:04 really just amp up my excitement for the game even more. Growing up, I never once ran into someone who played MMBN so spent all my time playing it by myself and never talking about it with anyone. I'm sure there will be discords for trading chips and doing PVP and stuff and it just sounds like so much fun. They are also giving us a ton of removed content from the global version. I just think they are doing a fantastic job with this collection so far.

Boktai needs any kind of acknowledgement it can get. I hope the Boktai content in the original games appears here too.
My hope is that there will be some sort of a fusion mode, where you have access to the full virus encounter list without having to switch games.
or maybe an option to swap versions on a save on the fly.
OSS being included in any way would be a dream come true
While this isn't a wish for MMBNLC, I would love for IDW to pick up the comic book rights for Mega Man. It would give us SOMETHING to look forward to while waiting for Capcom to release new games in the series.
I think that, aside the other BN games (chip challenge, 4.5, etc), the only thing I'd want are the improvements from BN 5 Double Team in both versions. The minimum I ask for is the Transport Chips, I hate playing with gyroman in liberation missions

I had asked this sort of thing on the Steam discussions for Vol 2. There's a lot of potential to be had making them a source port to modern devices.

I would love to see Operation Shooting Star get added as DLC, along with Battle Chip Challenge. Though it wouldn't really matter if they did add Network transmission as DLC, since I already have the actual game on the Nintendo GameCube.
Honestly? What i hope for isn't necessairly from the collection, but rather what it could bring. I'd absolutely love for it to spawn BN7 or a Star Force Legacy Collection. ZX, SF1 and BN5DTDS are all games from my childhood that i cherish, and even though ZX is the more important one given that it's literally the reason i know English as well as i do in the first place, and that i enjoyed SF1 more than i did BN5 as a kid (yeah), i still love this game to death and it makes me happy to see it treated with the love it deserves, and i feel like SF also deserves that love that was given to my other two childhood MM games as well.
I think there should be a Battle Network X featuring Lan's son. The Copybots from BN6 seemed to be setting up for X-style Mavericks and Sigma.

Update to mmbn4 red and blue where you get different Navi every scenario for the tournaments instead of the normal Navi, and dont make them repetitive on NG+
Man if we got all that content that was cut from the Japanese versions or the dlc bro because the game boys had limited space on them my hopes are high I’m just happy we got pvp confirmation.
I love this kind of stuff, unhinged ideas of what could happen are fun to think about, yes let’s get access to EVERYTHING at once for pvp and see the slaughter house begin!!!!

Well, considering one of Mick's concept art he has a hat with his Navi Emblem, implying that he would had an original NetNavi, yeah. He deserves an original Navi.

God it would be so cool to have new content for these games even if we never got another one. I hope the modding scene on PC is active. I pre-ordered for switch, but I could easily see myself buying it for PC just to play mods.
Hopefully we get quality of life improvements. Like in the laters games letting you cancel jobs, or take multiple jobs at once.
I want to see the cut duo soul from battle network 4 or a navi boss rush similar to megaman and x collection
Back in the day, I was always sad that they used Colonel, Iris, and Zero (to an extent) in Battle Network, but there was never any reference to X himself in those games. My unhinged hope would be to see X, whether it be in fairy or original robot form, or even as a mere cameo on a new, unique battle chip, but just to see X in Battle Network would be amazing. I'd also love to see a new game down the road, but I'm not holding my breath. It'd be awesome if they made more unique Navis, as well as to see other Robot Masters from the later traditional series, or even more Reploids made into Navis. I always felt a little sad Axl never showed up in Battle Network, even though his first appearance wasn't too far distanced from the original Battle Network releases.
They released all the old dlc and pitch cards and special cards and event cards along with Title screen got special skin for the MegaMan.
I was just hoping for Battle Network 1 and 2 to have some quality of life features for battles but this would be great.
Maybe the Gamecube Game could be DLC?

This collection really is gonna be the definitive way to play in my opinion. But having operate starforce and double team content would be the cherry to complete a perfect cake haha, even if its via dlc. That and bn4.5, that game always interested me.

My unhinged idea: chip leveling up, so they do more damage/heal for more after being used enough times in battles.
Now, THAT'S actually NOT Impossible. They let you level up SP Navi Chips depending on how quickly you beat the SP Navis, and you can level up your Virus Summon chips in BN3.

We know we get access to the E-reader card stuff (patch cards) all cards for 4-6 will be available for use in game. which is awesome.
also 1-3 has access to the event exclusive chips (Forte/Bass F for 1, the gospel chips for 2, a Punk chip for 3)
Also just realized the date on this so i'm not sure if this was posted right before learning about the patch cards or right after and thus filmed right befor or what since i'm not sure exactly when that info landed. So i'm gonna assume this was pre patch card news drop.
I will say the one thing to keep in mind is the JP title of the game

As in GAMEBOY ADVANCE collection so while i would love to see features from the 2 DS titles (OSS and Twin Leaders or w/e) It also wouldnt make much sense to add DS games to a GBA collection. Imagine having something something 64 Collection and its just titles released orgiinally on the 64 but they added SNES and Gamecube games to it down the road... would it really bea 64 collection then?
Again it'd be awesome looking at the english title of "Legacy collection" but again its JP name is "Advance collection"
For reference Megaman Legacy collection was "Rockman Classics collection"
Zero/ZX Legacy was Rockman Zero &ZX Double Hero collection
Megman X legacy collection was Rockman X Anniversary Collection
I did double check to make sure i got the name right and indeed advanced with a D that COULD be used to argue for the inclusion of either or both DS games
or even figure some way to port the 2 mobile games to the switch... but at that point then we'd be missing Network Transmission BCC and 4.5 So we'd need to port those 3 which would totally facilitate a 2nd release down the road maybe

Maybe Extra collection? ooh yeah there we go Rockman EXE EX collection - at the very least bring over 4.5, Network Transmission, Battle Chip Challenge, the 2 mobile games- cant recall thier names exactly , and then maybe OSS and the DS version of 5 with 5 beign the least likely inclusion since it'd probably be a solid release with jsut 4.5 Real Operation, BCC, Phantom of the network, Legend of the Network, and Network transmission.
I want the anime OSTs to be available as DLC for the music player, both the japanese and english versions.

i want to play as FlashMan or SparkMan in a setting in a similar vein to 4.5, i want to play as the ENEMY navis you fight, imagine playing as BurnerMan or BeastMan or even CosmoMan
Very unlikely but secret Capcom characters as bosses in battle network maybe include a battle chip and double/cross soul can you imagine fighting asura, Arthur from ghost and goblins or even ryu in battle network

megaman battle network 7 looking as Pokemon or a megaman battle network ultra ( upgrade megaman and land designe as well as the other navies game feature 5 year later or something. basically a new game. I know is not going to happen for this package but man can you imagine?
These would all be pretty cool, (especially the extra games) but I think I would be more excited for a rerelease of the manga since I've been reading the Zelda, Kingdom Hearts, and Dragon Quest the Legend of Dai manga's lately. (I also have Mob Psycho 100, but I haven't started reading that yet)

I wish capcom would listen to their audience, but knowing capcom for giving bad optimizations to their games, besides giving you inferior versions in their compilations, I doubt that apart from releasing the game I doubt there is anything else.

I would say I'd eat my pants if we got other playable Navis, but I don't really want to, after having made a bet to 100% both versions of BN4 if we got the collection.
Even if this was true.... They could have done the same for the previous collections or even Megaman 11. Everyone was expecting dlc for 11 but nope.
This is just not gonna happen. If this were Capcom's plan they would've done it with megaman powered up, the megaman xtreme games, maverick hunter x, etc. They would've done it with their most popular megaman and it ain't Megaman.exe.
I'll just want to be happy that this game runs well with my low level PC or else I'll become REALLY disappointed.

Out of curiosity how did they include the bass crosses for the virtual console release?
In BN5, go to the Mega Man status screen, and scroll over to the right, and you can choose to activate Bass Cross.

Both versions, yes, but they are version exclusives. Team Protoman gets the gold Power Form and Colonel gets the silver Speed Form.

I did. It took me forever to unlock Mega Man because Nobunaga is a cheap SOB, and I still haven't unlocked Zero yet.
I think it's stretching a LITTLE too far to wish for that to be bundled with a Mega Man collection, though, otherwise MVC1 and 2 would be with the MMLC.
@@FlashingBladesProductionsI know, but I like Onimusha. When i found out that MMZero and EXE were in the game it blew my mind. MMZ and MMBN were some of my favorite series so when i found out they were in an Onimusha game, which i also like, it was amazing.

3:42 Nintendo hasn't published a single one of these games, I'm not sure why you're mentioning them to begin with when this collection is also on Steam and PS4. I mean sure, Bandai was the publisher instead of Capcom but Bandai and Capcom have always been on good terms so there's not really any reason to suspect they'd just refuses or there'd be any rights issues and even if Nintendo was somehow a factor here, they and Bandai also have always been on good terms so...
I will acknowledge that I'm not the most well versed in how publishing/release rights work, but the comment was in reference that up until now, EVERY EXE game except for WS, N1 Battle (WS version of BCC) and the two mobile games were exclusively on Nintendo hardware. I wasn't sure if they held any say in what games got re-released or not.
