It's a long video but we had so much fun I had to record it! It has been 5 years since our last visit to Hatyai, it looks like business is booming again and it is good to see more Halal restaurants opening up to Muslims.
Our stay at the Monkham Village Hotel on Rajyindee Road was most excellent. It is a new hotel and had the best rooms and a nice pool. Best hotel in Hatyai I have stayed at so far!
Of course we did our fair share of eating at different places and trying new things, such as having a lunch at 7-Eleven and also trying out the burgers at McDonald's in Thailand.

You create happy memories for your children. I must say that they are very well behaved. Thank you for sharing your interesting videos. 👍👍👍
Thank you so much.... I hope my kids can remember daddy after he is gone. This is the biggest wish of older fathers, I think.😀
Nice kids and family
Hatyai is such a food paradise
Aiyooo so good right? Even with the exchange rate, the food there is also more affordable!
Really to see you having a happy family, feel so happy to follow all your videos and thank you for all your sharing, keep it up bro.
Thank you for your kind words and support!
Happy Happy Family. Keep it up! God Bless.
😍😍😍 Thank you
Nice vlog 👍🏻 Subscribed!
Oh wow I am your subscriber too! :)😅
Great trip for your family. Looks like everyone had a really good time. Been to Songkhla several times and will go again for sure. 7-11 food always in my bag on the way back.
Their 7-Eleven is better than Malaysia's Family Mart in my humble opinion! And they are EVERYWHERE! LOL
@@pishedbloke Way way better. The last time I went, bought about RM150 worth of food to bring back just from 7-11. Those guys just know how to do it right. Wife and I give it 5 out of 5 stars. Making another trip soon.
Wow! THB150 for a pony ride is very cheap! In Penang, it would've easily cost between RM30 to 50 (235 ~ 392 THB)
I know, right? And THB80 for beef noodles is cheap too. Penang prices around RM15 now I think, at Carnavon Street. My daughters bought clothes, THB99 - 200 a piece only.
@@pishedblokeMy goodness! Super cheap indeed!
I've always wanted to drive to thailand but haven't had the opportunity yet. Was thinking to drive to the west side, satun up to phang nga.
We are planning to go the same route! Probably use the Wang Kelian border to get to Satun and Koh Lipe sometime at the end of the year. If possible do.all the car insurance and paperwork before departing. In Penang we can do it at Siam Road, a company called Nudee (can Google it)
@@pishedbloke thanks for the info 👍🏻
I guess it's more flexible to drive from PEN to Hatyai vs parking your car at Malaysian border and take their local van to move around?
I got a quote to have someone drive us all the way from PEN and around Hatyai then back, 2D1N would be RM2K plus! I have taken the ETS train from Butterworth to Padang Besar, then take a Toyota Commuter to Hatyai one way is THB1000, this was like 5-6 years ago. My advice is no need to drive your own car if you only travelling in and about Hatyai, taking a Tuk Tuk is easier. But if you wanna go to Songkhla or Patthalung, you will be better off self-driving.
@@pishedbloke Thanks for the tips, bro. I really appreciate it. 😀
For the balance THB notes, do you normally goto the Money Exchange stall around Little India for example, or do you keep them for future BKK trips?
I am going again to Koh Lipe at the end of the year, so I am keeping them! Hehehe
At 35:40 time stamp, looks like a local egg based pancake beside the kopi?
That was actually a roti pisang with egg... THB50 each. It tastes like our local roti but a bit softer.
@@pishedblokeLooks nice though! :)
@@AUNTHIAM It is nice, but a bit pricey IMHO. The breakfast at the fried chicken place was waaay better
Buy hong eu because u thau hong...... hahahaha. So funny Bro
I'm planning to go Hatyai but don't have the driving stamina like you to start so early and still have energy for all the activities... respect Bro
Hahaha Thai medicated oil is very good
When you arrive go for massage or foot reflexology first to revive yourself! Sure can lah, Hatyai is just 1 hr plus from Danok!
@@pishedbloke Will try one day.... thanks for the tip
Do you need to purchase local SIM card?
I didn't. You can use the Maxis 7 day ASEAN roaming package for RM49 for unlimited local calls and data.
7 Days ASEAN Plus Unlimited Data Pass
*Choose this if your stay is between 2-7 days in any of the listed countries.
Unlimited roaming data valid for 7 days
*Daily 2GB at high speed at followed by unlimited at reduced speeds up to 1Mbps; refresh daily at 12am Malaysia time.
@@pishedblokeohhhh! I wasn't aware of ASEAN roaming. Will check it out for future trips around ASEAN. Thanks for sharing, bro :)
