Steve Haukdahl nothing really in-depth has been done outside of the boat formation to compare. Only a few small scans but not good enough for a comparison study. The resistivity scans in 2014 did go outside of the boat.

This was discovered, confirmed and broadcast back in the 80's by American and Turkish archeologists, physicist, etc. 20/20 did a special on it as well. Maybe you were not born then, but this is not new!

Because it's BS .there were 8 people on the ark to feed and care for over 2 million creature's if they didn't sleep or rest they spent approx 43 seconds caring for each creature by the time they fed the last creature ,the first one they fed would have been dead from starvation . Approximately halfway through the video there is a radar imaging of the buried ship. It seem to show evenly spaced ribs of a ship. Almost like the buried remains of a Viking ship during excavations. I would be happy to get an answer whether the radar does show the ribs or partial framework of this buried vessel. Many thanks, and keep up the good work.
Possibly or the walls or partitions to rooms. The radar is definitely showing angular structure at different depths below the ground. If this was a natural object of mud and rock you wouldn't expect to find such right angles and straight lines.

I was wondering if your scanning the upper mud slide for the rest of the Ark Meaning the bottom of it. I have been quietly following this story since it was discovered in the 80s, I am 55 now and I know they found more of the Wood trapped further up in the ice where the Ark stopped after the flood. Anyone who can't see this is the real Noahs Ark is a lost soul.
So far we can't due to the location being right beside the Iranian border. Hopefully that upper site can be scanned/excavated in the future with proper permission. We have hiked all around there though.

But definitely being that it's a stratovolcano built on a flood plain deposit and all the sightings have it in a glacier which would shed itself and move the ark off the mountain or grind it up there is no way due to all this that the ark landed up there.

SO if this is/was Noah's ark....what is the large (although broken), wooden structure with multiple levels buried in rock/glacier 12,000-13,000 feet up Mt. Ararat?
Genesis 11:2, KJV: "And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there." Shinar is in modern day Iraq. Turkey is in northwest of Iraq, not in the east of Iraq. Hence the ark didn't land in Turkey. The ark landed in the Himalayas. From the Himalayas, Noah's family went to Iraq. But of course not right away. They settled in the Indus Valley first. That's why the Indus Valley is indeed the birthplace of civilization.
Would like some detail on how the door was built into the side of the ark, and the timbers found showing little to no evidence of growth rings in the wood. This would help clarify the mystery for some, that we did not have 4 seasons before the flood, only after the flood for they are 1st mentioned at the covenant of the rainbow. The first 12 chapters of the book of Genesis are written with information presented sequentially and spacially. More info on titanium rivets and aluminum metal found there would be awsome too. Don't know if such scanners can look at the cross grain laminated construction but if such could be done, wow, could help others to realize that the bible is true.
@@carvinlambert6899 no that’s not true. He tried many times to excavate it and get funding and even once was promised a permit but was taken hostage by terrorists a few days later. You need to read up on the history of his work at the site and watch videos of his meetings. He wanted many times to do some form of excavation to ultimately prove what’s there.

The Ark of the Covenant is a rectangle box but the Hebrew word "Ark" here is not the same Hebrew word "Ark" used for Noah's Ark. The Hebrew word "Ark" for Noah's Ark is the same Hebrew word "Ark" word which is used for the "Box" (a rectangle box to float, with no navigation) Moses was placed in in the Nile, as a baby. And, the retangle box allowed for maximum cargo capacity, which is greatly reduced by modern day boat shape/design.

Could it be possible that there were two arks tethered together because a Chinese exploration team have found an ark on mount Ararat and they have filmed and photographs of its internal cavities?
Has anyone considered making a lateral cut through the middle of the site to be sure that the ark is what we have observing? One lateral cut either lengthwise or widthwise would tell a lot, both would even be better. I also have been following this for years and I, for one, would love to know definitively one way or the other.
Ron Wyatt mentioned during a TV interview that he'd found pictographs near the site showing 8 people and a boat. Where are those pictures? That would really be something to see. Thank you
Ron Wyatt said the the ark had come to a stop higher on the ridge and then the lava or mud flow had pushed it down to the current site. THat the bottom of the art was still there and the flow had pushed the upper part of the boat to the current site. Have you seen any signs of that and can you take pictures of that? That has to be the site because the day they let the animals out of the ark, the scriptures say that Noah and probably with the help of his son had put built a humed alter to the Lordout of rough stone and jad sacrificed several bulls and or lambs or goats to the Lord the very same day. Hi Robert, I’ve been up to the original landing site valley many times but still need to go over the area better and haven’t gone over each square inch to find the part of the bottom that Ron said he saw up there. So still more work to do there. I’ve also seen the stele inscription marker on the border right above the landing site. The altar and house site Ron talks about is about 20 miles away in the village of Arzap just northwest of Dogubayazit.
I don't really think is Noah's Ark, but we never know, it might be. The Bible says the Ark landed on the "mountains of Ararat", many usually think it's referring to Mount Ararat, but it's most likely not, it doesn't say "mountain of Ararat" or "mountain Ararat", instead it says "mountains", in plural, there are 2 things it may refer and I'll explain why: 1 - Regional area with lots of mountains close to Mount Ararat: this area might have already been called Ararat a long time ago, before Mount Ararat, so it might be referring that the Ark landed on one of the mountains around this region, in case, the highest mountain in that region, which wasn't Ararat at the time, instead, it might have been other one; supporting this possible Ark, it might be the Durupinar site. Also, why the highest mountain? Well, in the Bible, after the Ark lands, a few months later, it says the tops of the other mountains could be seen, so it might mean the Ark landed on the highest mountain at that region. 2 - The Zagros Mountains on the Ancient Urartu: well, the word translated as Ararat, in the Hebrew Bible is HWRRT, which sounds like Ararat, but sounds more like Urart than Ararat, so it might be referring to the ancient region of Urartu, and the most likely place on Urartu for it to land is in the Zagros Mountains, as they fit the description of the Bible, if that is correct, then this Ark on the video is false. But why not Mount Ararat? As I said, the Bible says it landed on the "mountains of Ararat", and also, in other book on the Bible, I guess it's 2Kings 9:26, it refers Ararat as "the land of Ararat", implying that Ararat is a land, and not a mountain.
I'm not familiar with the written account. If there was a powerful world wide flood, would Noah's family needed the materials from the Ark at that time when the waters receded? Would they not have disassembled it? Just a question.
He possibly used some of it though not all. We have many historical ancient records of people visiting the ark up through the time of Christ so we know the ship remains were still there 1000s of years later after the flood and not destroyed.

But based on talking to locals in that area of what they did to put the wood on the hot summer days up there over a few years and then taking the Chinese to the site after they had frozen in place during the winter and knowing that Ararat is a stratovolcano and knowing it was built on a plain laid down by the flood per geology I would find it highly unlikely that the mountain was there during the flood or even at that height and unlikely anything would survive a stratovolcano erupting over and over as it builds itself up to the size of the mountain it is today. So no I didn’t quickly dismiss it just because it wasn’t the site we are researching.

I'm curious why after all these years there hasn't been any kind of excavation? How are we still doing radar type research decades after discovery? It's not that I don't believe it, if anything I'm just frustrated that this isn't a top priority.
This is a world heritage site and needs too be protected. People randomly walking all over it will degrade the site. Amazing scanner images. Are we even older than we are been lead too believe. The Hydroplate hypothesis of how the great flood happened makes total sense.

The problem is that when you expect to find something, you will likely see only what fits your expectations. Personally, I believe the ark did exist in ancient history, but don't hold that it must be found to justify my beliefs. The Bible says the ark landed in the "Mountains (plural) of Ararat" (Genesis 8:4) not "Mount Ararat." This site is in the mountains of Ararat and is 15-20 miles south of the large post flood volcano called Mount Ararat.

This video update was about the new research we are attempting to do with the Turks not a retelling of the story of the site and how it was found etc. I met Ron twice in high school and college and also talked with him many hours on the phone since I first learned of his work in 1990 while in middle school. But before I say anything else, I would like to make it clear that it is only speculation on my part. I don't believe that the Bible goes into details or is it specific on a lot of things. Therefore I believe that this discussion concerning ships or boats that may or may not have existed before the great flood is not important salvation wise. It is one of the reasons why I believe God saw fit to exclude certain topics from the Bible. God's main focus is on saving us, not satisfying our curiosity. My opinion may be a minority opinion, but I have thought about these things a lot, and have done quite a bit of research due to my own curiosity. The Bible makes it clear that before the great global flood the earth spoke one language. The earth I could also assume had basically one climate - or perhaps it didn't fluctuate from one extreme to another extreme. Now taking these few details into consideration, I therefore assume that there would have been one race of people. I hold that position because I know that the climate on a global scale changed drastically after the flood. Places that never experienced the presence of snow and ice, was now buried in it. Places that were once lush and green and fertile, are now barren and dry. When God confounded the language of mankind during the tower of Babel, civilization was splintered, and scattered out to the four corners of the earth. God placed in all living things the ability to cope and change with the environment - which brought about the different races of men. Now let me return back to the time before the great flood. Since the world population at that time spoke a single language - also consisted of only one race - the youthful earth having an ideal environment, humanity practically lived lives of seeming pleasure. There harbour no need to spread out across the globe. Why risk one's life and venture into the unknown verdant forests full of strange and frightening beasts and huge reptiles. In my opinion I feel that humanity did not venture far from where God first created the first human pair. Think of it - it was the location of Paradise - the Garden of Eden, a place of perfection. The Bible claims that it never rained prior to the flood, but the earth was watered by a mist which rises up in the evening and water the whole surface of the earth. Why would anyone want to build a ship in such a perfect environment - and then go where? To another forested unknown region harbouring huge gigantic frightful animals? It would have feel much safer remaining with your other human companions - there is strength in unity. It is not to say that smaller boats were not built to traverse streams and rivers...but why build a ship? When Noah began to preach about the coming global cataclysm, he need not have ventured far. The Bible said that when Cain fled from the presence of God, he established himself in the land of Nod. Apparently the land of Nod must not have been too far from where the worshipers of God, or Seth's offspring (the Godly or those that retain their loyalty to God) resided. They remained near the vicinity of the Gates of Eden. Noah's Ark was a spectacle to the world in those days.The question was why would a man build such a huge ship in such a perfect environment, and away from any large body of water? The only conclusion was that he must be crazy. So ironically he drew the crowds, which allowed him to warn the world of his day of the coming destruction of the earth.
@@8ColousBIT I do not disagree that the pre-flood civilization was very advanced. Because it wasn't too long after the fall of man that inventions began to take place. For example the descendants of Cain invented certain musical instruments, and developed metallurgy etc. Many asian countries like Japan for example retain certain knowledge about wood joinery which has been almost lost to western countries. They can actually build a structure without nails or dowels. You mentioned about carbon dating etc, and why you believe that the evidence shows that humanity can be dated back to over 200,000 years. I have serious issues with carbon dating, and that humanity goes back hundreds of thousands of years. Allow me to give a few examples why I do not subscribe to these long ages of time. Let us say that on the day that God created man, and then was examined by a doctor who had time traveled back to the past, (this is a hypothetical example). The doctor looked him over and medically examined him, all the while not knowing anything about God's creative power. The doctor's report would read that Adam is a man about 25 to 30 years old and in perfect health. No matter how sincere the doctor would feel about his report, he would be nonetheless sincerely wrong. The doctor did not take into consideration the creative power of God. Adam would tell the doctor that he haven't even been alive for a week as yet, but that he's just only a day old. The doctor would say that his carbon dating shows that the man is at least 25 yrs old. But he would be wrong. So things may appear to be of great ages, but that may not necessarily be the case. Another example is that basically nearly all ancient civilizations can be dated back to between 4,000 to 7,000 years ago. The invention of writing also dates to that time period more or less. I believe the scattered remains of human bones found around the world that scientists claim to be over 200,000 years are actually post flood remains. Which interestingly would make them 5,000 to 4,000 years old. Far younger than the great ages that today's scientists attach to them. I believe that they are misreading the fossil record. You mentioned about the huge mega monuments, and enormous blocks of stone, obviously worked by human hands. Again, due to my research, I conclude that most, if not all of these are probably post flood constructions. Like I mentioned earlier, I believe that after the fall of man (approximately 6,000 years ago), humanity remained concentrated in a specific area in the Middle East region - perhaps the region of southern Iraq and the Persian Gulf area. So far I do not believe any preflood human remains have been discovered as yet. (If they have been discovered, then they may have been kept secret from the public). The reason I give for them not being discovered, is that God totally buried them under the waters of the Persian Gulf. According to the Bible humans were created as giants in the beginning just as the animals were created as giants. As soon as men left the Ark, their longevity began to decrease as well as their stature. It is only logical to assume that if nearly all fossils of animals were huge sizes, humans most certainly must also have been of giant size. It would be unsual for God to pay a visit to an adverage height Adam of just 5' 7" tall, while the height of God would be about 18 feet tall - and all the animals around of gigantic proportions. If Og king of Bashan was at least 13 to 14 feet tall, then I'm sure God must have been taller, and so was Adam, for all humanity descended from Adam and Eve. Any other view would not be supported by the Bible. Those descendants of Noah which left the Ark, I believe are responsible for the huge monumental structures found around the world. The giants of antiquity were our ancestors, and the descendants of Noah and his three sons, Shem, Japheth and Ham - all being giant in statue. But as time went on everything, including man decreased in size to what it is today.

But archaeological discoveries, and other scientific evidence which I have examined tend to support the accuracy of of the Bible. Scientific theories are constantly being changed and revised. Most of the theories pertaining to ancient man - geology, astronomy quantum physics etc. are constantly being changed and or discarded as being unworkable. For example Darwin's book on the origin of species. The book is so out dated I doubt that it's even used in the schools. But of course he is considered the father the scientific principle of the evolutionary theory - a foundation upon which modern science rest. A flimsy foundation indeed, because most of what Darwin considered to be the workings of evolution, is in fact adaptation - or change occurring within a species. No jump from a dog to a cat. Dogs remained dogs from the beginning of time until today, same as every other species. The only difference is that there may be variations in the species, but no jump from one species to another. Even though that is what is proposed as scientific fact. The difference is that God's Word is dependable, trustworthy and unchanging. Psalm 119:105 states, "Thy Word is a Lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. How can I not believe and accept those trustworthy words, when the very One that I refer to as my Lord and God also was sustained by those Words. The servant is not greater than the Master. If the Master upholds the servant complies. Jesus took the story of Noah and the rest of Genesis as a literal events. And I concur wholeheartedly. Yes I have read that some of the ancient writers downplayed the fact that Goliath was as large as stated in scripture. My response to that is that they then have a lot of explaining to do. If I'm not mistaken, Goliath's coat of mail would just be to heavy for any ordinary man, except he was of a huge statue. His spear the Bible claims was like a weavers beam. A spear fit for a giant. To understand how chemistry works, there are certain formulas and rules which must be applied. The same as with Physics and Mathematics. The Bible is govern by similar principles. The Bible is not a book Shakespeare that one picks up and expect grasp it's meaning. One must lay aside their ego. They must leave all their baggage behind, and change their mode of thinking. The natural man must have a change of mindset from the natural to the spiritual. God is the law-Maker. He has created the natural laws to govern nature. But there are times He chooses to override natural law. For to comprehend God one must become spiritual minded. For the natural mind cannot grasp the things of the Bible, because he's using the wrong formula. He must be spiritual minded to understand biblical truths.

I’m deeply interested in your UA-cam channel, please don’t think what I’m about to share is intended to be negative or hateful. I and many others have first hand experience to know that this isn’t the resting site of the great vessel, built by the Biblical character Noah. I used to believe it was until I took part in a UK backed expedition in the early 90’s, to investigate the Ararat Anomaly. I do feel the Ron Wyatt location warrants architectural merit as a site of interest, but it’s not the Ark. Our brief was given after original satellite images showed a structural anomaly, thought to be the remains of an ancient monastery or man made building. We also had exclusive viewing of short footage taken by the Russian Imperial Army on mount Ararat between 1900 and 1917. It was of poor quality, clearly shot with an early aeroscope camera. It showed the soldiers walking down a huge dark wall that appeared to be made of timber. The soldiers were also firing what appeared to be their berdan rifles into the structure. Before our UK funded expedition to Turkey, we managed to examine in great detail, the Ararat Anomaly satellite images on an IBM PS computer. It showed an object, or objects located on Ararat at approximately 15000 feet from the the summit. The images showed what appeared to be a linear man made structure that had broken into at least 2 large pieces. The structure or structures appeared to be joined at some point but had been damaged by the deep glacier it was buried in. The weather was unusually mild for the summer and had resulted in large parts of the object to be exposed. From the evidence we gathered, it had 3 levels with a central atrium running the entire length. The atrium we estimated served no other purpose other than to allow light to reach all the levels. We had no way of estimating the size of the structure given that most of it was under the ice. The material it was constructed from was timber, that had either blackened from age or had some type of coating added. It was felt that the latter applied and this enabled its survival. Our time at the location was short but was long enough for this object to be documented with hundreds of supporting photographs and camcorder footage. Everyone who witnessed this vast object couldn’t help but be moved with great awe and wonderment.

I thank that really is noahs ark from way back then the 8 people that where chosen to repopulate the world through the righteous blood line of noah and his wife and three sons and there wifes. The supposed wooden ark on Ararat discovered in 2009 or 2010 is a fraud and locals will tell you all about how other locals did it. Those that did this fraud made millions off the Chinese Christian group sadly. Ararat is a post flood stratovolcano and the ark did not land there.

Thus it was formed not surrounded or under any water but after the flood. So any eruptions that formed this volcano would have destroyed any ark that landed on it if the mountain was even around in some shape or form. Plus all the eyewitness accounts of an "ark" on Ararat conflict with each other. This 2010 ark "discovery" story that the Chinese were promoting the locals again will tell you how their friends helped in getting old wood up there and putting in old food as if Noah left food there or others. Turkey is in northwest of Iraq, not in the east of Iraq. Hence the ark didn't land in Turkey. If you want to search for Noah's ark, go to the Himalayas. That is assuming that the ark is still there and not disassembled for its timber.
Sorry. But I haven't seen enough proof to confirm this location. It looks to me like an eroded hill that is very similar to other landscape in the area. If it is truly a possibility, then do a grid style excavation of a segment of the outer wall and confirm it with samples of buried or petrified wood. Maybe even some types of fasteners or tools made of bronze. Until then, you're just looking silly.

While I hope this is the resting place of The Ark I just don't see how it could be. The Ark would have to been massive to contain all the animals and this doesn't look as though it would be big enough. I do welcome correction though.
Well it is the Biblical length given in Genesis (aka 300 cubits). We believe Moses wrote the book of Genesis and would have used the known measurement of the day which was the royal Egyptian cubit. That would place the ark at around 515 feet or so in length which is exactly what this site is.

They have already actually found the real ark still intact higher up on the mountain buried under ice. It was a Chinese expedition and they have been inside and the photos and videos are stunning. I'm not sure why it is not mentioned. You would think even the people who first thought this was the ark would be excited to admit the Chinese team actually found it. Please check it out.
That's where the ark was built on a solid ramp, off the ground for a easy lift off. The ramp was nessarcery because of the huge tonnage of the ark and it's live cargo. Had it been built on the ground the flat hull would been damaged by friction and side shifts. The live stock also injured . The ramp was longer than the ark. They would have been surrounded by Forests for easy access to building materials.

Steve Haukdahl nothing really in-depth has been done outside of the boat formation to compare. Only a few small scans but not good enough for a comparison study. The resistivity scans in 2014 did go outside of the boat.

Approximately halfway through the video there is a radar imaging of the buried ship. It seem to show evenly spaced ribs of a ship. Almost like the buried remains of a Viking ship during excavations. I would be happy to get an answer whether the radar does show the ribs or partial framework of this buried vessel. Many thanks, and keep up the good work.
Possibly or the walls or partitions to rooms. The radar is definitely showing angular structure at different depths below the ground. If this was a natural object of mud and rock you wouldn't expect to find such right angles and straight lines.

The most boxy types of rocks are Basalt and this picture below has some near right angles.

I was wondering if your scanning the upper mud slide for the rest of the Ark Meaning the bottom of it. I have been quietly following this story since it was discovered in the 80s, I am 55 now and I know they found more of the Wood trapped further up in the ice where the Ark stopped after the flood. Anyone who can't see this is the real Noahs Ark is a lost soul.
So far we can't due to the location being right beside the Iranian border. Hopefully that upper site can be scanned/excavated in the future with proper permission. We have hiked all around there though.

But definitely being that it's a stratovolcano built on a flood plain deposit and all the sightings have it in a glacier which would shed itself and move the ark off the mountain or grind it up there is no way due to all this that the ark landed up there.

Would like some detail on how the door was built into the side of the ark, and the timbers found showing little to no evidence of growth rings in the wood. This would help clarify the mystery for some, that we did not have 4 seasons before the flood, only after the flood for they are 1st mentioned at the covenant of the rainbow. The first 12 chapters of the book of Genesis are written with information presented sequentially and spacially. More info on titanium rivets and aluminum metal found there would be awsome too. Don't know if such scanners can look at the cross grain laminated construction but if such could be done, wow, could help others to realize that the bible is true.

Could it be possible that there were two arks tethered together because a Chinese exploration team have found an ark on mount Ararat and they have filmed and photographs of its internal cavities?
Has anyone considered making a lateral cut through the middle of the site to be sure that the ark is what we have observing? One lateral cut either lengthwise or widthwise would tell a lot, both would even be better. I also have been following this for years and I, for one, would love to know definitively one way or the other.

Ron Wyatt said the the ark had come to a stop higher on the ridge and then the lava or mud flow had pushed it down to the current site. THat the bottom of the art was still there and the flow had pushed the upper part of the boat to the current site. Have you seen any signs of that and can you take pictures of that?
That has to be the site because the day they let the animals out of the ark, the scriptures say that Noah and probably with the help of his son had put built a humed alter to the Lordout of rough stone and jad sacrificed several bulls and or lambs or goats to the Lord the very same day. Hi Robert, I’ve been up to the original landing site valley many times but still need to go over the area better and haven’t gone over each square inch to find the part of the bottom that Ron said he saw up there. So still more work to do there. I’ve also seen the stele inscription marker on the border right above the landing site. The altar and house site Ron talks about is about 20 miles away in the village of Arzap just northwest of Dogubayazit.
I don't really think is Noah's Ark, but we never know, it might be. The Bible says the Ark landed on the "mountains of Ararat", many usually think it's referring to Mount Ararat, but it's most likely not, it doesn't say "mountain of Ararat" or "mountain Ararat", instead it says "mountains", in plural, there are 2 things it may refer and I'll explain why:
1 - Regional area with lots of mountains close to Mount Ararat: this area might have already been called Ararat a long time ago, before Mount Ararat, so it might be referring that the Ark landed on one of the mountains around this region, in case, the highest mountain in that region, which wasn't Ararat at the time, instead, it might have been other one; supporting this possible Ark, it might be the Durupinar site. Also, why the highest mountain? Well, in the Bible, after the Ark lands, a few months later, it says the tops of the other mountains could be seen, so it might mean the Ark landed on the highest mountain at that region.
2 - The Zagros Mountains on the Ancient Urartu: well, the word translated as Ararat, in the Hebrew Bible is HWRRT, which sounds like Ararat, but sounds more like Urart than Ararat, so it might be referring to the ancient region of Urartu, and the most likely place on Urartu for it to land is in the Zagros Mountains, as they fit the description of the Bible, if that is correct, then this Ark on the video is false.
But why not Mount Ararat? As I said, the Bible says it landed on the "mountains of Ararat", and also, in other book on the Bible, I guess it's 2Kings 9:26, it refers Ararat as "the land of Ararat", implying that Ararat is a land, and not a mountain.
I'm not familiar with the written account. If there was a powerful world wide flood, would Noah's family needed the materials from the Ark at that time when the waters receded? Would they not have disassembled it? Just a question.
He possibly used some of it though not all. We have many historical ancient records of people visiting the ark up through the time of Christ so we know the ship remains were still there 1000s of years later after the flood and not destroyed.

But based on talking to locals in that area of what they did to put the wood on the hot summer days up there over a few years and then taking the Chinese to the site after they had frozen in place during the winter and knowing that Ararat is a stratovolcano and knowing it was built on a plain laid down by the flood per geology I would find it highly unlikely that the mountain was there during the flood or even at that height and unlikely anything would survive a stratovolcano erupting over and over as it builds itself up to the size of the mountain it is today. So no I didn’t quickly dismiss it just because it wasn’t the site we are researching.

I'm curious why after all these years there hasn't been any kind of excavation? How are we still doing radar type research decades after discovery? It's not that I don't believe it, if anything I'm just frustrated that this isn't a top priority.

But before I say anything else, I would like to make it clear that it is only speculation on my part. I don't believe that the Bible goes into details or is it specific on a lot of things. Therefore I believe that this discussion concerning ships or boats that may or may not have existed before the great flood is not important salvation wise. It is one of the reasons why I believe God saw fit to exclude certain topics from the Bible. God's main focus is on saving us, not satisfying our curiosity.
My opinion may be a minority opinion, but I have thought about these things a lot, and have done quite a bit of research due to my own curiosity.
The Bible makes it clear that before the great global flood the earth spoke one language. The earth I could also assume had basically one climate - or perhaps it didn't fluctuate from one extreme to another extreme. Now taking these few details into consideration, I therefore assume that there would have been one race of people. I hold that position because I know that the climate on a global scale changed drastically after the flood. Places that never experienced the presence of snow and ice, was now buried in it. Places that were once lush and green and fertile, are now barren and dry. When God confounded the language of mankind during the tower of Babel, civilization was splintered, and scattered out to the four corners of the earth. God placed in all living things the ability to cope and change with the environment - which brought about the different races of men.
Now let me return back to the time before the great flood. Since the world population at that time spoke a single language - also consisted of only one race - the youthful earth having an ideal environment, humanity practically lived lives of seeming pleasure. There harbour no need to spread out across the globe. Why risk one's life and venture into the unknown verdant forests full of strange and frightening beasts and huge reptiles. In my opinion I feel that humanity did not venture far from where God first created the first human pair. Think of it - it was the location of Paradise - the Garden of Eden, a place of perfection. The Bible claims that it never rained prior to the flood, but the earth was watered by a mist which rises up in the evening and water the whole surface of the earth. Why would anyone want to build a ship in such a perfect environment - and then go where? To another forested unknown region harbouring huge gigantic frightful animals? It would have feel much safer remaining with your other human companions - there is strength in unity. It is not to say that smaller boats were not built to traverse streams and rivers...but why build a ship?
When Noah began to preach about the coming global cataclysm, he need not have ventured far.
The Bible said that when Cain fled from the presence of God, he established himself in the land of Nod. Apparently the land of Nod must not have been too far from where the worshipers of God, or Seth's offspring (the Godly or those that retain their loyalty to God) resided. They remained near the vicinity of the Gates of Eden.
Noah's Ark was a spectacle to the world in those days.The question was why would a man build such a huge ship in such a perfect environment, and away from any large body of water? The only conclusion was that he must be crazy. So ironically he drew the crowds, which allowed him to warn the world of his day of the coming destruction of the earth.
@@8ColousBIT I do not disagree that the pre-flood civilization was very advanced. Because it wasn't too long after the fall of man that inventions began to take place. For example the descendants of Cain invented certain musical instruments, and developed metallurgy etc. Many asian countries like Japan for example retain certain knowledge about wood joinery which has been almost lost to western countries. They can actually build a structure without nails or dowels.
You mentioned about carbon dating etc, and why you believe that the evidence shows that humanity can be dated back to over 200,000 years.
I have serious issues with carbon dating, and that humanity goes back hundreds of thousands of years. Allow me to give a few examples why I do not subscribe to these long ages of time.
Let us say that on the day that God created man, and then was examined by a doctor who had time traveled back to the past, (this is a hypothetical example). The doctor looked him over and medically examined him, all the while not knowing anything about God's creative power. The doctor's report would read that Adam is a man about 25 to 30 years old and in perfect health. No matter how sincere the doctor would feel about his report, he would be nonetheless sincerely wrong. The doctor did not take into consideration the creative power of God. Adam would tell the doctor that he haven't even been alive for a week as yet, but that he's just only a day old. The doctor would say that his carbon dating shows that the man is at least 25 yrs old. But he would be wrong. So things may appear to be of great ages, but that may not necessarily be the case.
Another example is that basically nearly all ancient civilizations can be dated back to between 4,000 to 7,000 years ago. The invention of writing also dates to that time period more or less.
I believe the scattered remains of human bones found around the world that scientists claim to be over 200,000 years are actually post flood remains. Which interestingly would make them 5,000 to 4,000 years old. Far younger than the great ages that today's scientists attach to them. I believe that they are misreading the fossil record.
You mentioned about the huge mega monuments, and enormous blocks of stone, obviously worked by human hands. Again, due to my research, I conclude that most, if not all of these are probably post flood constructions.
Like I mentioned earlier, I believe that after the fall of man (approximately 6,000 years ago), humanity remained concentrated in a specific area in the Middle East region - perhaps the region of southern Iraq and the Persian Gulf area. So far I do not believe any preflood human remains have been discovered as yet. (If they have been discovered, then they may have been kept secret from the public).
The reason I give for them not being discovered, is that God totally buried them under the waters of the Persian Gulf. According to the Bible humans were created as giants in the beginning just as the animals were created as giants. As soon as men left the Ark, their longevity began to decrease as well as their stature. It is only logical to assume that if nearly all fossils of animals were huge sizes, humans most certainly must also have been of giant size. It would be unsual for God to pay a visit to an adverage height Adam of just 5' 7" tall, while the height of God would be about 18 feet tall - and all the animals around of gigantic proportions. If Og king of Bashan was at least 13 to 14 feet tall, then I'm sure God must have been taller, and so was Adam, for all humanity descended from Adam and Eve. Any other view would not be supported by the Bible.
Those descendants of Noah which left the Ark, I believe are responsible for the huge monumental structures found around the world. The giants of antiquity were our ancestors, and the descendants of Noah and his three sons, Shem, Japheth and Ham - all being giant in statue. But as time went on everything, including man decreased in size to what it is today.
@@8ColousBIT you have stated some interesting and informative points which is worth contemplating. But archaeological discoveries, and other scientific evidence which I have examined tend to support the accuracy of of the Bible.
Scientific theories are constantly being changed and revised. Most of the theories pertaining to ancient man - geology, astronomy quantum physics etc. are constantly being changed and or discarded as being unworkable. For example Darwin's book on the origin of species. The book is so out dated I doubt that it's even used in the schools. But of course he is considered the father the scientific principle of the evolutionary theory - a foundation upon which modern science rest. A flimsy foundation indeed, because most of what Darwin considered to be the workings of evolution, is in fact adaptation - or change occurring within a species. No jump from a dog to a cat. Dogs remained dogs from the beginning of time until today, same as every other species. The only difference is that there may be variations in the species, but no jump from one species to another. Even though that is what is proposed as scientific fact.
The difference is that God's Word is dependable, trustworthy and unchanging. Psalm 119:105 states, "Thy Word is a Lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
How can I not believe and accept those trustworthy words, when the very One that I refer to as my Lord and God also was sustained by those Words. The servant is not greater than the Master. If the Master upholds the servant complies. Jesus took the story of Noah and the rest of Genesis as a literal events. And I concur wholeheartedly.
Yes I have read that some of the ancient writers downplayed the fact that Goliath was as large as stated in scripture. My response to that is that they then have a lot of explaining to do. If I'm not mistaken, Goliath's coat of mail would just be to heavy for any ordinary man, except he was of a huge statue. His spear the Bible claims was like a weavers beam. A spear fit for a giant.

For the natural mind cannot grasp the things of the Bible, because he's using the wrong formula. He must be spiritual minded to understand biblical truths.
No, Noah's Ark was not the first vessel, but the largest wooden vessel up to date, and it wasn't built by giants, nowhere on the Bible implies Noah and his family were giants, and yes, God designed the Ark, and designed it good.

Oh yea the fraud fake ark up on Ararat planted in the glacier was shown in 2010 and then in 2014 etc. This location is along the border with Iran and the Turks just don't let anyone come over with a shovel to dig. I and many others have first hand experience to know that this isn’t the resting site of the great vessel, built by the Biblical character Noah. I used to believe it was until I took part in a UK backed expedition in the early 90’s, to investigate the Ararat Anomaly. I do feel the Ron Wyatt location warrants architectural merit as a site of interest, but it’s not the Ark.
Our brief was given after original satellite images showed a structural anomaly, thought to be the remains of an ancient monastery or man made building. We also had exclusive viewing of short footage taken by the Russian Imperial Army on mount Ararat between 1900 and 1917. It was of poor quality, clearly shot with an early aeroscope camera. It showed the soldiers walking down a huge dark wall that appeared to be made of timber. The soldiers were also firing what appeared to be their berdan rifles into the structure.
Before our UK funded expedition to Turkey, we managed to examine in great detail, the Ararat Anomaly satellite images on an IBM PS computer. It showed an object, or objects located on Ararat at approximately 15000 feet from the the summit. The images showed what appeared to be a linear man made structure that had broken into at least 2 large pieces.
The structure or structures appeared to be joined at some point but had been damaged by the deep glacier it was buried in. The weather was unusually mild for the summer and had resulted in large parts of the object to be exposed. From the evidence we gathered, it had 3 levels with a central atrium running the entire length. The atrium we estimated served no other purpose other than to allow light to reach all the levels. We had no way of estimating the size of the structure given that most of it was under the ice. The material it was constructed from was timber, that had either blackened from age or had some type of coating added. It was felt that the latter applied and this enabled its survival.

Thus it was formed not surrounded or under any water but after the flood. So any eruptions that formed this volcano would have destroyed any ark that landed on it if the mountain was even around in some shape or form. Plus all the eyewitness accounts of an "ark" on Ararat conflict with each other. This 2010 ark "discovery" story that the Chinese were promoting the locals again will tell you how their friends helped in getting old wood up there and putting in old food as if Noah left food there or others. Again no credible evidence for that claim.

Shinar is in modern day Iraq. Turkey is in northwest of Iraq, not in the east of Iraq. Hence the ark didn't land in Turkey. If you want to search for Noah's ark, go to the Himalayas. That is assuming that the ark is still there and not disassembled for its timber.

Sorry. But I haven't seen enough proof to confirm this location. It looks to me like an eroded hill that is very similar to other landscape in the area. If it is truly a possibility, then do a grid style excavation of a segment of the outer wall and confirm it with samples of buried or petrified wood. Maybe even some types of fasteners or tools made of bronze. Until then, you're just looking silly.

Well it is the Biblical length given in Genesis (aka 300 cubits). We believe Moses wrote the book of Genesis and would have used the known measurement of the day which was the royal Egyptian cubit. That would place the ark at around 515 feet or so in length which is exactly what this site is.

They have already actually found the real ark still intact higher up on the mountain buried under ice. It was a Chinese expedition and they have been inside and the photos and videos are stunning. I'm not sure why it is not mentioned. You would think even the people who first thought this was the ark would be excited to admit the Chinese team actually found it. Please check it out.

Yeah, except the ark was box shaped. This is a scam. However, the real ark has been explored and samples taken from it, higher up the mountain. We know that Noah lived at the base of the mountain.
