I love this man! I purchased my first pit bike in 2007 and there was no info anywhere so now when I do anything I make sure to make a video! I appreciate the support and positivity! Happy Riding!
Good thing for CC. Turn the garbage music off, or turn it down so your voice isn't combatting all the extra sound. Other than that, I'm glad you made the video on the light installation. Very helpful.
So you have 2 yellow wire coming from your stator? I only have 1. And a white. And a green and white. I used you diagram and hooked the pink to green and white and it lights up but gets brighter with higher rpm
Wired mine up rectifier n all light shines nice and bright at mid rpms and idle but once I rev it up it will turn off but then come back on once the rpms come back down any help?
David.........need some help. I've got the exact bike. I just tried to install some lights, the lights have red yellow and black. The switch has 2 blacks and a black and white. I have the exact regulator. So, the reds on the light go to one of the blacks and they yellows to the other black. The blacks are supposed to ground. The black and white on the switch goes to positive, red on the regulator. The green on the regulator is negative, ground. My assumption is that I'd run the black wires from the lights to this. On the regulator, I have the pink and yellow twisted together and attached to a black and white wire on the bike that supplies power. Here's the problem. When I turn on the lights with the switch, the bike dies!! I don't have 2 yellows like your bike does, but I do have a yellow and pink. However neither seems to have power while the bikes is running. Do I need to run these wires to same colors on the regulator? Thanks
I bought the rectifier you linked, my bike has a white and yellow light. I bought a switch that has 3 wires, one for constant if I want the light on the switch to stay on and one for the button to turn the light on. Can't seem to get them to work. Help me out!!! Please.
I wired my ssr125 the same way and so far I've burnt out 2 sets of led headlights when I hit full throttle. Flickers at idle, shines nice and bright at mid rpms, burns out at high rms. Any ideas?
The recktifier or what evere might give out too much voltages for ur headlight look at whats the maximum voltages or ask the seller how much can it take
too high voltage output on rectifier. should give you 12V, maybe 14, but not much more. also, check if lights are exactly 12V or 9-24(30)Volts. some LEDs has wide range of voltage, try one of those .
I’m assuming Apollo and the coolster are very similar. My fiend featured in these videos with the white bike has a coolster and the original motor was a 1 down 3 up style shift pattern and it was almost impossible to get into Neutral and when you finally were able to get it into neutral if you win the bike over 45° to the side it would kick it into gear now they could’ve been an isolated incident with his bike but that was my experience with those types of bikes I would say and my friend would say save the extra two to $300 and get the SSR. I do know riding his bike feels a lot different as in it feels like you sit higher your legs are closer to you and the handlebars sit lower to me it’s very awkward.
@@davidarmenta4812 I'm having this problem, I have to rev the bike in order for the headlight to work. Any thing I can do to get this working? I have a COOLSTER 125CC QG214.
My rectifier has the same color wires as shown in the diagram but they're in a different order. So should I wire it by color or by the order shown in the diagram? Hope that made sense.
David Armenta Thanks for the reply. I went ahead and wired it by color and it worked (I also added a taillight), but the headlight burned out after like 30 seconds. I wired up a 2nd headlight (it was 2 pack) and the same thing happened. The taillight is still working so I'm assuming there's a flaw with those headlights and not my wiring.
post a video of the tail lights ! i wanna see how it came out! and like in the video mine did the same I put some sealer in the crack of the light but my other one burned out too =/ glad to see it worked out for you!

David Armenta just ordered a pair of supermoto big wheels, just gotta figure out how to mount the battery on the bike without damaging anymore of the bike lol😂 And yeah bro once it made fully done I’ll try and upload a video
@@jhys88 turned out pretty well, but had to sell it due to moving house. If your gonna try this, get a daylight MoT first without installing anything extra, just E rated wheels and a horn. I had installed most of the stuff and tried for a daylight but I was told they have to be disconnected and tapped over before arriving for the mot, so it cost me £160 to fix the failures and pass a full mot. *Edit: i installed the battery underneath the seat, I found out after that there is a conversion kit sold by dbracing.co.uk/ that will save you time wiring.

Hey David I cannot find those products on internet can you upload another link please
Never in the world would’ve expected to find such an in depth video on my exact bike, thanks man you saved me a whole days worth of problem solving!

I had the same issue with my brand new light it turned on for about 5 seconds then shut off, besides a new light what did you do
Does this work the same on the ssr 110?
Yes it should
My apollo 125 db 007 doesn't have the wires for a headlight can I wire it to the 12v output of the cdi box?
Just tape a flashlight to the handle bars
haha at this point it would probably be easier

what was the difference on the coolster
please tell us
Work in cdi with 4 pins?
My 2021 SSR street legal lights turn signals blinkers mirrors all that
that's so awesome I want to do the same thing! do you have any videos on it!
So all I need to add a light to my ssr is a rectifier and a light?! It's that simple?
Hey, I ran the wires on my SSR 125 the exact same way but the light only works when I rev up the bike. Any suggestions?
Ahh possibly the rectifier. Also is it the stock engine from ssr my friends coolster does the same thing. You have 2 yellow wires correct
David Armenta I have a white wire and a yellow wire off the stator
Ok so the coolster we did had the same wires and his does the same thing sadly we haven’t figured out a fix
David Armenta so in the video you have the bigger motor?
It’s a 125
What about for an Apollo? Have you seen that at all? And if it’s the same

But as for the light it will probably dim and get brighter at high rpms
when you rev the bike does the light get brighter
On the ssr it does not other brand motors do
Damnit smh I have an ssr
Thx tho

Do I need a Rectifier if I don't want a switch
Yes you will it is what converts the power
Is the wiring different for the coolster dirtbike
ahhh i believe the colors are the same however you will need constant throttle for the light to stay on
