  • Travel nursing specialty pay can vary depending on your specialty and in-demand specialties. Nursing Specialties such as OR, PEDS, NICU, Labor & Delivery are in high demand right now. That is why they're bringing the most pay for travel nurses. If you are ER nurse, or med/surg you can make just as much if you play your cards right. I would highly recommend doing your research and paying attention to these high demand specialties. Also in the end it's abut your overall happiness with your choice, so take everything into consideration.

    I appreciate your honesty and the facts that you provide. I'm an ER nurse interested in traveling. I might look into less popular places like you said. Thank you again!

    Great vid for us graduating in a week. I'm looking to get into ER or L&D. I'd love L&D as it fits with my 5 year goal. Interviews are starting slowly. Had one Friday.. another coming up early next week. I have many many applications out there - most are in a progress state. In two years I'll be looking to travel. For right now I'm super excited to be joining the team with my nursing degree! Thank you for sharing your wisdom on this hot topic!

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Good informative video as always. Regarding the subject on hand, I will add the specialty of Nurse Anesthetist aka (CRNA) the yearly salary goes as follows $105,400 to 242,000 and it could be more depending on the state........ Abrazos

    I really appreciate the information...one nurse recruiter told me how I felt about 1,000$ per week - I was totally underwhelmed!! I told her I make more than that already!! So weird. I want to do travel nursing! (currently do post-partum and peds) but that low salary quote has totally scared me off.

      Yeah I would def keep looking because 1,000 wk is extremely low

      But was that just pay? They typically pay for housing and food.

    Crosby, I was even considering opening up an ALF? You ever thought about that? I'm not sure if I'll want to solely do bedside forever.

      So I haven't really looked into it. But I have heard of people talking about it. I think if I did something like that I would have to do a little more research.

    How much do you make weekly as your base? And what is the max you've made in travel nursing weekly?

    • @CrosbyTheNomadNurse

      1600 take home, after taxes , insurance. Per week. It’s not as much as some but I’m good with it

    Any idea what the average starting pay for new grads is?

    • @CrosbyTheNomadNurse
      @CrosbyTheNomadNurse  5 років тому +1

      It's really hard to say. I think it depends on the location, But I would say average around 30 per hour. But I've heard new grads getting 40
