The third title in the series.
Plot: 'The mad scientist Dr. Wily, having twice had plans for world domination dashed, claims to have reformed and begins work with Dr. Light on a project to build a peace-keeping robot named "Gamma". Robot Masters in charge of a set of "mining worlds", however, go berserk and make off with Gamma's eight power crystals. Mega Man is called into action, this time with a canine companion named Rush, to retrieve the crystals from the sites. Throughout his mission, the protagonist continuously encounters and spars with Break Man, a masked foe who has abilities comparable to Mega Man's own.'

About time mate. i'm surprised 3 turned out this good since it was pretty rushed. Capcom wanted it out on christmas and surprisingly had their way even though there was still some work to do.

Mega Man 3 is AWESOME! I played Mega Man 3 in NostalgiaNES in my phone and the game, characters, story, music and Sound effects are so crazy and beautiful. Great game!

Snake Man's theme is my favorite. Good game, even if the the lack of an intro is a little bit baffling.

Gemini man was always my favorite, but Shadow Man was always the hardest. I liked Spark's Man stage the most.

Magnets beat hardman probably because he has so much metal on him. Hard knuckle beats topman I figure because you can bend or knock over a spinning top. top spin I guess would fluster shurikens and cause them to fly wrong on shadow man? shurikens can be made even more deadly when hit with electricity so there it is against spark man.
The electric against snakes fails though. I'm sure they were going for electricity against a living creature, but snakes have a natural resistance to electric attacks. Snake attacks against crystals doesn't seem like that would work either. Lasers going against needles is.. better? Some of these pairings could have been better. I was with it in the first half.
