Nah bro that’s literally impossible, I once was a dark magician player searching every possibility to get my rank higher, but you just have to face it, dark magician is bad and inconsistent considering the situation opponents just banishing dark magicians.
But getting to diamond probably works, never higher

Love your vids bro. I upgraded my DM deck to add these in but I had a tuff time winning games. Maybe its me maybe I still dont understand the new cards, but it felt like this deck is trying way to hard to do two different things.
Super Poly is definitely a viable way to play Dark Magician, but an alternative way to play would be running Evenly Matched, which frees up extra deck space for things like Chaos Angel (this plus Dragon Knight with Eternal Soul is nasty), Guardian Chimera, and maybe even Zeus for going second. And if you're running 3 Ash, which I don't think is super necessary in DM, you could even try to make space for a Baronne.
I know you can send them with Souls, but running 3 TTTalent doesn't make much sense since it's once per turn. Replacing at least one of them for TTThreat would make sense. Double Circle and double Eternal Soul also aren't optimal imo since they're searchable and recyclable. If you wanted to double up on any DM spell that's normally run at 1, I would suggest Secrets because it can help to turbo out Dragon Knight, especially in a build that runs Bystials. Cutting down on some of these cards would leave more space for handtraps, which I think this deck is just a couple short of and would help it's competitive viability.
Edit: there's also no reason I can think of to run Link Spider over Imduk.
Agreement. I run most of this. I really enjoy piercing the darkness. Crazy good. I run two chaos angel. Mahad + chaos angel is gods gift to dm decks. I’ve had dark law in my deck for a while now. Nice when rod is negated I get out dark law and still get the effect. Since I need to soul servant mahad out to get chaos out. But I like it as a back up option rn. I run lubellion mirror jade predaplant fallen albaz as a nice back up combo. Pull branded and you get lub in defense and dragon knight. If your combo fizzles and you have two monsters. You can pred into mirrorjade. I have psychic end punisher. It’s just fun and a great card. Not used 7 of 10 games. If you have dragon knight and eternal soul out and you draw ash you can summon it summon end and eternal soul dragon knight right away. Number 11 is a nice option too.
Im very new so sorry if this is a dumb question. I am interested in using Baronne instead of one of the extra deck cards in the video, but are you suggesting using ash as tuners for summoning baronne, since the deck has no other tuners? wouldn't you want to keep them in your hand instead? Also one more question: which hand traps would you suggest would you suggest if I were to cut down one of the eternal souls?

Been a big help for my DM deck, especially those dragons, really help. I’ve got it fairly close, need a bunch of UR gems for about 2-3 deck cards and 5-7 extra deck cards.

Hi Sam; thank you for the decklist! I've been seeing a lot of your Dark Magician coverage and I have always wondered why you use Link Spider on the Extra Deck instead of Imduk. I have always assumed objectively Imduk as a Dragon is better suited for the whole DM the Dragon Knight / Dragoon plays. Can you tell me your thought process regarding that pick? Cheers Champ!

I started playing this game again after not playing since about 2005 back in December. I didn't care that Dark Magician wasn't really good, I love that card and played it! The interesting thing is I built something really similar to this (missing a few of these) and its been working really well. I am currently diamond 5!

I am Playing a DM-Deck in locals since 3 years. I know better versions in locals. in MD this might be good too. I just see problems going first with bystials, cause u don´t want to banish DM or DMG.

I’ve seen you make the same misplay all the time when you have Soul Servant and Circle in hand. Maybe I’m just bad. Wouldn’t it be better to chain servant to the activation of circle to stack salvation guaranteeing you hit it and are able to draw it? You did it after which made you have to banish servant to get the card

I might experiment with this. I've made it to Platinum 2 with my pure DM deck, but after encountering Bystials every other duel, it's become clear to me that they're just too powerful of an archetype to ignore anymore.
It’s the same that I am realizing with my Harpie build that gets me to low-tier diamond, due to what I can do with Galaxy Tomahawk. But w/o Bystials, low tier diamond is probably my ceiling

It's really hard for me to make a dark magician or blues eyes or even a darkworld deck if its not pure. Sure bystials and dangers and hand traps help out a deck, just wish they were arch type specific. I usually end up making two decks, one that's competitive and one that's fun

In technical terms the strongest spellcaster is trance the magic swordsman I think even cosmic queen is the strongest normal spellcaster

I have similar deck and one with dark magician + cross soul and 3 god cards... i have so much fun with dark magician and blue eyes. Blue eyes + Hop Ear Squadron is soo brocken ... u can make baron or any 10stars synchro monster in enemy turn...

It's funny how Dark Magician's text is. "The ultimate magician in terms of attack and defense." But there are spellcasters that have higher attack power than him.
I think it meant that dark magician is the ultimate normal magician in terms of attack and defense and mostly relies on spells and traps and extradecks monsters

IT'S TIME TO DU-DU-DUEL! i love DM archetype (and harpies too but it's hard to climb the ladder). I use DPE engine in my DM deck but i will test your version 👍.

dragoon won't be unban in MD. Everydeck would play dragoon as a better DPE while predaplant link is available at the same time.
dragoon is a fail card that failed to save DM, it just way too good for a slow snail archetype like DM.
ppl would rather play a red eyes deck with dragoon than a DM with dragoon since red eyes are dragon and dragon got much better support than spellcaster.
