I counted this fight , I’m a judge , 7-5 for Castillo .

I’m a fan and scored it 8-4. The first six rounds we can all agree it was 5-1 Floyd. In the next six rounds Castillo won 2 rounds convincingly and Floyd won one convincingly. The other three rounds can go either way. Idk how you gave Castillo the fight, at worst it’s a draw.

Floyd Clearly won this fight from beginning to end then ran it back and did it better again, yall are so biased its absolutely disgusting. You claim to be students and fans of the sport yet you cant separate personal connections from the outcome of a fight between one of your guys, it's truly sick I've never been that way and never will be that way, if my guy loses as longs as he gave me 100% I'm happy because at the end of the day he did all he could. Floyd landed more punches and evade most of castillo's punches as well. It's very clear that floyd bit him. Not by much but he bit him anyways. This is boxing. The point of the game is to hit and don't get hit, and that's what floyd did. Castillo was tough but he did not land one good power punch in thud fight whereas floyd landed more of his good punches.

People like to point out compubox stats showing Castillo outlanding Mayweather by a close margin but if you simply count the rounds that Castillo won it would be difficult to find 7 rounds to give him. All 3 judges felt Mayweather won rounds 1-4, including rounds 8, and 10. All three judges agreed Castillo won rounds 6, and 7 which were huge rounds for him. That leaves rounds 5, 9, 11, and 12 as close rounds that Castillo needed to clearly win just to get a draw which he didn't do. Sorry 🤷🏾♂️.

I watched this fight live on HBO and thought Floyd lost the fight then and I've rewatched it and definitely think Floyd lost the fight. Castillo should have won this fight. I also watched the rematch live on HBO as well and Floyd most definitely won the rematch. Should have been 1-1 and possibly a trilogy match. But so goes boxing.

It was a tricky fight to score with the point deductions. But even with Me giving Floyd a 2 point round when they took a point from Castillo, and a even round when they took a point from Floyd, I still had Castillo winning by 2 points!
Floyd definitely lost this fight unofficially, but the Judges didn’t think so, that’s why he ended his career undefeated, but Castillo did more than enough to win the fight.
Just listen to Floyd in the post fight interview, making excuses in a “Win”. He knew he lost that fight as well.

A lot of rounds where pretty close. But Floyd won more clear rounds for himself. Castillo was effective aggressor but actually not landing cleanly while Floyd was the one whose landing the cleaner shots and making Castillo missed most of the times (people, even media and experts, often overlook defense as criteria in judging and worst often overrated aggression as controlling the fight). The HBO crew did a horrible job in their ringside commentary, making it appears like it's a one sided beating win for Castillo which is far from the truth.

As a challenger, you have to take the championship from the champion. So if the winner of this fight is constantly debated, the challenger may not have done enough to convincingly "take" the belt from the champion, so to speak. Although the challenger may have edged ahead in points.
Kind of like in baseball; if it's too close to calll, the tie goes to the runner. (Is that how you use semicolons?)

@@bigslime2235 Given that most people consider this a fight Mayweather lost, clearly the scoring was off. I don't know that he lost, everyone can decide for themselves, but obviously it wasn't as one sided as the scores indicated.
Now, I get some people want to suckle Mayweather, and it was certainly better for the promoters if Mayweather won. I'm guessing you are the former, and hopefully one day Mayweather will give you the affection you crave.

Rounds 1-5 Floyd won clearly, Castillo dirty punches don’t count. The rest of the fight we had a lot of swing rounds. I gave it to Floyd 116-112. There wasn’t a robbery.
