No stupid skits, no quazi artistic instrumental tracks with half assed singing, no unnecessary hyped up features that contribute nothing. Every single song is just pure bars with tons of different flows and great production. THIS is rap
This feels like a prelude to a larger project he’s working on. I think this album was more so to clear the air and give an update on where his mind’s currently at
AOTY for me. Freddie is phenomenal and can’t miss. I agree with your statement about the numbers, I really wish he got the massive recognition he deserves
The fact that you can go through the comments on all of Freddie’s album cuts on UA-cam and people will say “this is my favourite track”, shows there is zero filler in his projects. Every track is meaningful and makes a statement.
Gibbs’ flow has gotta be one of the best in the game. It’s so addictive for me to hear how he raps over these beats and plays with them so masterfully. This album is great in every way to me.
Jon I be trying to get reactors to do "Freddie Gibbs - Cold Day in Hell" and no one has budged yet Come on man!!! That mixtape is some of his best work and some of his best raps. Please React to that Tape!
This is one of the best albums I've heard in a minute, Anniversary and Ruthless are my favorites but, the whole album is hard! Freddie been that dude some of y'all are new but go check out the collection
Jon Denton done turned into a real deal rap head in front of our eyes. Being frustrated at rappers thats underrated while others that are not as skilled getting more recognition 😂😂😂
Forsure redeemed himself on this one I felt like triple S life was too commercial. This is him actually rapping like he knows. You know he going hard when the songs start off with SLAMMIN!
I've noticed that guys like Freddie and Push get written off so easily for being coke rappers, but they have some of the best flows and bars. People would rather hear someone rap about doing drugs than selling them, I suppose, even if the music is so much worse. Example being Uzi vs Freddie.
Idk i feel alone with my opinion but this album was solid, Nothing more nothing less. Already seeing people say its gonna be a classic, But for me compared to the rest of his catalog, This album was just OK. Its about on the level of SSS except i preferred that one a little more tbh.
You should probably give it another 1 or 2 listens. At first I thought the same (inly liked about 6 or so tracks) but now its grown on me so much more and I like every single track except the intro only because of the weird vocal mixing
great album, great rapping, lyrics and production, definitely one of the best albums of the year, I personally prefer Schoolboy Q’s BLUE LIPS and Vince Staples’ DARK TIMES though
i’m pretty surprised how well this is being received i haven’t seen a bad thing said about it. makes me question why i feel how i do about it 😂 it is good for sure! i wouldn’t put it on par with many of his other projects, it feels more like a lil in between tape before something greater to me. the rapping is still top tier of course, just saying a lot of the same thing throughout.
@puregoldprod You aren’t alone man. I feel the exact same way. This feels like a quick loosy to throw together before something greater. Not close to being his best or what he is capable of
This album has some $$$ and shadow of a doubt seasoning throughout the album. Holds up to its own, but I do prefer $$$ and SoaD> you die 1nce. It’s a 7.8 for me, just my opinion.
Cosmo freestyle is one of the best songs I’ve heard all year. That beat is so clean and Freddie just goes off
No cap🔥🔥🔥
I agree its my favorite on the album
Literally couldn't even get passed that track for the first day. Just kept hitting repeat 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

we can agree to disagree on the skits 😂
bro was talm bout some crusty toes
@@puregoldprod I meant skits as in standalone tracks. I don't want to have to skip some random ass skits 5 times while listening to an album
What you referring to with this??
Steel Doors is too smooth. Literally everything i look for in a great hiphop song. Gibbs is elite level.
Watching the clear relief on your face in the stream after switching from the uzi project to this was hilarious 😭😭
This feels like a prelude to a larger project he’s working on. I think this album was more so to clear the air and give an update on where his mind’s currently at
Agree! Similar to die 2wice, just a ‘clear the slate’ for a banger album. People sleep on Freddie, but that album was crisp!!
I agree with you both. Too much hype and anticipation for Alfredo 2 & Montana for this to be it
Don't know if I'm making this up in my head or not but I could swear he's got another album with Madlib in the locker.
@@Bing-a-lingyup, its confirmed, called “montana” they said it will complete the trilogy!
Another stellar album by Freddie
AOTY for me. Freddie is phenomenal and can’t miss. I agree with your statement about the numbers, I really wish he got the massive recognition he deserves
Yeah Yeah is one of the best songs of the year. Freddie just doesn't miss with his projects.
Completely agree with both points
Yeah yeah makes me nut
The fact that you can go through the comments on all of Freddie’s album cuts on UA-cam and people will say “this is my favourite track”, shows there is zero filler in his projects. Every track is meaningful and makes a statement.
@@dretheman123Very true, even if it doesn’t all mesh with my taste I’ve never seen so many people with different favorites
All of the beats on this album are fantastic.
This is the kind of album that every time you listen to it you find a new favourite song , they are all just tooo good 😮💨
Easily a top 5 record this year. Gibbs never disappoints. Cosmo Freestyle is nuts, I had a stank face on the whole time.
Fav: Walk It Off. The flow is crazy
Steel doors is insanely good
My fav song he spazzed and the beat so got dam smooth
Listening to this after the torture that was eternal atake 2 was godly
Genuine talent
that's mixing on "status" had me WORRIED and then it was clean the rest of the project
He slid this whole album. I’m glad Freddie is back.
Brick Fees is my favourite song, I play it every day. The whole album is flames 🔥
Flawless album. For me its Bandana, youonlydie1nce, and Pinata.
I got hated on the reddit sub when i said this is my top 3 (not in specific order) 😂
No Alfredo is nuts
@@zachphelps3427 its an amazing album. Alchemist production just aint my style most times...
@@zachphelps3427love alfredo but too melancholy to be on my rotation. can appreciate the art though!
Mach-Hommy Richaxxhatian WE NEED THE REACTION JON. One of the best hip hop albums of the year.
this!
The concept and his rapping on this is fire. Anniversary my favorite joint and he probably should have made it a bit longer but…streaming so I get it
Origami 🔥, and that Gaddafi reference 💔
*Walk It Off* is absolutely fire. That's my favorite flow from him
Freddie fire 🔥
Flawless project!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Gibbs’ flow has gotta be one of the best in the game. It’s so addictive for me to hear how he raps over these beats and plays with them so masterfully. This album is great in every way to me.
Been waiting for this 🎉🎉
Flawless!!!
Yeah this is AOTY for sure! Absolutely no skips! Raps on point, flows for days, and production is top tier! 🔥🔥🔥
He's baaaack!! -- watching this before my first listen.
Such a great album. One of my favorites of the year, maybe like top 7 or 8 of the year.
Hopefully your gonna do the Ab Soul drop next week
Waiting On Soul Burger
Each time I see a new video, it’s a treat!
i loved this album. gonna be playing this heavy
112 live with Freddie would be live 🔥
Jon I be trying to get reactors to do "Freddie Gibbs - Cold Day in Hell" and no one has budged yet Come on man!!! That mixtape is some of his best work and some of his best raps. Please React to that Tape!
agree, natural high gotta be top 10 freddie
cold day in hell showed me that freddie gibbs is the most versatile rapper i ever heard. I def want this reaction too
@@eath0429 Heaven can wait is my shit on that album
One of the dopest albums of the year
Even the interlude is fire
album of the year no cap
John with the dog like Freddie and his kid on that LA leakers freestyle lmao
This project is INCREDIBLE
Last reaction before 500k!
30 girlfriends is one of his best songs ever, he was spittin
Freddie is flawless, simply doesn't miss
On the set and steel doors BANGS this whole album goes hard af 🔥
Fam I literally saw this come out i saw 0 view 40 sec i was so hyped n that 30 girlfriends is on repeat tho
Gets better w each listen
Your point of returning to this over chromakopia I completely agree! Not sticking as much as I thought
Yeah yeah is my favorite song of the year and imo this is a top 3 gibbs album and easily top 3 album of 2024
Real music🔥🔥
need that still praying & 11 reaction
Ay congrats on 500k Jon!
Been waiting for this video, ever since eternal atake 2 was voted to be reacted first😢
That second verse beat drop on wolverine is insane!
I agree with you about the "in a perfect world" bit. It's insane.
Another classic Gibbs album.
The beat transition in the second part of Brick Fees is probably my favorite thing this year
Album 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Amazing album
This is one of the best albums I've heard in a minute, Anniversary and Ruthless are my favorites but, the whole album is hard!
Freddie been that dude some of y'all are new but go check out the collection
Album of the year
Big rabbit the best rapper alive right now hands down classic album after classic album .he to good
He’s goated
2:24 This is that You Only live 2twice pt 2 Freddie just going off the chains. Great Album!!
Wolverine has to be my favorite track. Whole album Gems
Wow, this vid was wild! Keep going!
Rabbit Island is probably my favorite track
That sample is ridiculous i never thought i would see someone sample that or anniversary
This is the best album to release all year
on the set is fire...
I never really payed Freddie any attention until now. My boi didn’t miss a beat 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Also, I got Shadow of A Doubt as Freddie’s best album. Not a consensus pick but that shit goes crazy, start to finish.
He never misses 🤷🏾♂️
Jon Denton done turned into a real deal rap head in front of our eyes. Being frustrated at rappers thats underrated while others that are not as skilled getting more recognition 😂😂😂
Origami is different bro, amazing project
Forsure redeemed himself on this one I felt like triple S life was too commercial. This is him actually rapping like he knows. You know he going hard when the songs start off with SLAMMIN!
Cosmic freestyle 🔥 🔥 🔥
Freddie been fire since I heard Alfredo back in like 2016 or sum. Gradually incline in his product. Holding the Midwest down outside of Drill.
It came out in 2020 dawg 🤨
@ u right, I was talking about Piñata
@ chilllll lol
Freddie catalog at this point can match any current rapper
His best album by far.
I agree for his solo stuff but bandana beats this, while bandana isn't the most consistent, I feel like its best moments are Freddie at his best
Best Rap Album Of The Year.
Steel doors and Brick Fees are unbelievable 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Nah fr
I've noticed that guys like Freddie and Push get written off so easily for being coke rappers, but they have some of the best flows and bars. People would rather hear someone rap about doing drugs than selling them, I suppose, even if the music is so much worse. Example being Uzi vs Freddie.
Ruthless was fire bro 🔥😅
It’s cliche to say but Freddie legit doesn’t miss man
This album is fucking amazing holy shit
This and Blue Lips are tied for AOTY for me.
The album is perfection and 🐰 is the GOAT.
No skips AOTY!
This album needs more love.. it’s contender for Rap album of the year for me, I’m not too crazy in the Chromokopia hype
Neeeds more recognition
Idk i feel alone with my opinion but this album was solid, Nothing more nothing less. Already seeing people say its gonna be a classic, But for me compared to the rest of his catalog, This album was just OK. Its about on the level of SSS except i preferred that one a little more tbh.
Fully agree, very good album, but doesn’t come close to the Madlib albums or Alfredo. Origami one of the best tracks of the year though
Is the new Westside Gunn album coming?
wolverine so tuff
Steel Doors 🤦🏾♂️ that beat is tuff

You only live twice album as well
W
The 112 sample on Ruthless was dope but kinda came from left field compared to the other tracks
Shades could’ve been on for the whole project lol
I actually don't agree that it's better than his last solo album if I remember correctly that was sole sold separately
