Thank you for the years of clean fascinating entertainment, the places we have gone with you that we would have never seen , someone I can confidently watch with my granddaughter ❤
Going through the small towns and abandoned buildings in the desert on your way to Vegas is somewhat reminiscent of back when you used to do your abandoned videos on your main channel which were your most popular videos amongst fans, so thumbs up to these kinds of videos 👍
That fenced off area was a Stuckeys. Back in the 70's my family had to pull into Stuckeys due to a serve sandstorm. I remember my dad's 72 F250 with our camper got its whole grille area sand blasted. I also remember my mom giving a blanket to a couple of bikers to cover their harleys at the time. Old boomer here!
These are my favourite kind of vlogs from you, Adam. Amazing to see all this vintage/retro American History from what was such a golden age. Wish I’d have been around to see it all in its glory.
The machine next to the gas pump is where you would pay for gas, when Arco was doing it that way. For awhile, most Arco stations had you pay at a machine that wasn’t where you pumped the gas, it was a little odd. The only plus for the machine was that if you wanted to pay in cash you didn’t have to go inside. Then Arco changed it to pay at your pump.
Yup. ARCOs in SoCal would only take cash or debit, no credit at the time. They would charge you a transaction fee if you used debit. Now taking credit cards.
Yeah I never carried any plastic on me, I would only pay cash for things I bought back then, so those machines were convenient for me not needing to go inside and stand in line.
Can confirm. That was the older style of payment, which for us in Eugene, Or, would allow bills. Maybe that one would still take cash, but like others, most likely defunct and not worth the cost to remove.
Watching this reminded me of episode TDW 1459. That episode you moved out of your rental house by the orange circle and stopped by that same railroad McDonald's. Amazing how fast time flies.
Haven't watched a video that looks at abandoned spots in some time, used to watch abandoned building videos of different types and area 51 related videos often. Great video!
Adam, I was at Dollywood opening today and I was 2 ft away from Dolly herself in the parade here in pigeon forge TN... You' would have loved it! Hello from your 2nd home .. Gatlinburg TN Smoky Mountains Park 🏞️🌄🐻
Hoping I would have run into you at John Wayne yesterday when I came in 😭 I just love your videos so much. You are easily one of my top favorite channels.
FYI That extra machine at the Arco was probably a central point of paying for gas and picking which pump, they have since replaced their pumps to pay at each pump We had an Arco here in Washington like that
Good Ol Barstow Station!!! Located in Barstow, CA Love that place! Good choices of food and a Starbucks across the street! The next stop before Vegas would be Baker, Ca
That's right I remember you got sand in your camera lens in that sand storm. I think I said back then that my cousin's daughter named their kid Zzyzx! Thanks for taking us along.
The snow is absolutely mind boggling. My great grandmother used to own property in Barstow, and that McDonalds was my absolute favorite McDonalds. I love it. So bummed the mad greek in orange county closed. Granted, that Naugles has an interesting history. Originally Naugles was a taco chain that eventually merged with Del Taco. In 2012 they made a comeback, and eventually took over the Stanton Mad Greek location.
My wife and I made that drive last year because of your previous video when you stopped at the alien jerky place, and we loved it! There’s also a pretty cool place to check out if you ever make that drive again, it’s called Calico Ghost Town. If you’ve never been there, I highly recommend it. Lots of history, and they also put on a pretty cool thing for Halloween.
You standing in front of the Waterpark sign/entrance with the desert scape in the background looked like a scene from Land of the Lost with Will Ferrell. Pretty funny and cool at the same time. Nice video, Adam
We always enjoy stopping at Eddie World. It's just a convenient place with clean bathrooms and plenty of food options that's kind of half way on the drive.
That's cool. I did that trip with my family in reverse pre-covid on one of our trips from the UK, we even filled up our rental car at the same Arco! I remember there was a cool fifth wheel horse box being pulled by a pickup, we don't have anything like that in the UK. Love USA, just so different to the UK! Man, I'm only four minutes into this video and loving it already! :D
You Amaze me with all the Places You Visit.. Thank You, for doing all the walking, and visiting places, I would never get to see. . Vegas trip for me was Playing the Slots & Roulette, hoping to go home with some $$$$ This Vlog was very Interesting!!! Have Fun!! Be Safe!! 🌞🌞
I remembered a long, long, long, long, long time ago stopping by to 🌊🏊🤽💦 that Water Park ⛅🏄💦to cool off. Barstow Train Station in Barstow, CA. McDonald's
Not sure if you’ve ever seen it but the water park was a filming location for Desert Blue in the late 90s. I found it once by looking up films that Morgan Freeman directed, not sure why I was interested in his extremely small directors portfolio. I soon found out that it was not the Morgan Freeman I believed it to be. Although, it did cast Casey Affleck and Ethan Suplee early in their careers and was Kate Hudson’s debut film role which I found interesting. There’s my fun fact for the day that some may already know and some may not care. Thanks for allowing me to live vicariously through your travels Adam. Always a fun adventure and leaves me anticipating where you’ll show up next.
The water park was Lake Dolores. I remember they used to have local TV commercials in L.A. for that place back in the 70's-80's. I wouldn't be surprised if that video was on YT too. 🤣
Doesn’t get much better than Woo on the road.
@Repent and believe in Jesus Christ Amen
I like it. great video great sound .the best picture.
Thank you for the years of clean fascinating entertainment, the places we have gone with you that we would have never seen , someone I can confidently watch with my granddaughter ❤
This is my favorite drive and I’ve always wanted to stop at these places. I think I will next time. Thanks for making this video.

8:56 if you have kids, Eddie World is a terrific stop! My kids LOVE stopping here because of the tons of treats and a snacks they offer.
These are my favourite kind of vlogs from you, Adam. Amazing to see all this vintage/retro American History from what was such a golden age. Wish I’d have been around to see it all in its glory.

@Repent and believe in Jesus Christ Jesus still has to pay cash.

A waterpark in the desert just seems like you’d get cooked pretty fast. Anyone got some 10,000 SPF sunblock?

The old place with the "Market" sign on top looked like it might have been a Stuckey's location at one time. Thanks for posting
Yes, that was a Stuckey's at one time. I believe that exit was Upton rd. If my memory serves me well.
Hi there Adam. It's 6.00 a.m here. There's 4 inches of new snow and I'm going to enjoy your show B4 heading to bed.
Great video as always. Thanks for sharing
Hey man, thank you. I love it. ❤️

nice film, also has an early role for Christina Ricci 🤔🤔
My husband and I have been fans for years. We are both Vegas locals and Hopefully we will see you in the city. Enjoy and have fun! ❤️
great video! thanks Adam!
Agreed this was a great video 🙏
I love dessert regions like in Arizona Nevada and California. Especially when you mix in their higher elevations with mountains and trees
I have been to the "Rock-A-Hoola" Waterpark back in 2010. It was cool for a deserted place. I was just at the RR Mickey D's back in 2021.
Las Vegas baby !!!! awesome !
Heading in the Right Way Adam ! Excellent Viewing!
Should've been a 🤡
I need to take a road trip now. That looks like fun and I have never been to Vegas. Great video thank you.
The Mad Greek in Baker, CA has some awesome milk shakes, food. Used to live in L.A. and made the trip to Vegas on 15 many times. Enjoy Vegas!
I always wanted to do some stops along the way. It looks so interesting. I love the desert 🏝️🏜️.
The glass/plexiglass is a wind barrier. It keeps strong gales from blowing the door open.
go east go east my good friend.......
Thank you Adam...
Fascinating the things younsee on these back roads. Neat!
I live in Baker, CA I was in Vegas all day getting shopping down. Glad you enjoyed yourself
oh, will you stop counting those magic mountains?!
Love this Road Trip to Vegas 🫶🏽 Have you had the Barstow Deltaco! Wrapped in yellow paper! So yum 😋
The water park was Lake Dolores. I remember they used to have local TV commercials in L.A. for that place back in the 70's-80's. I wouldn't be surprised if that video was on YT too. 🤣

Your recounts during the Magic Mountain tour were a hoot.
Holy cow, a relic of the past. At 6:57 on the wall is a poster from disney's song of the south!!!
Love your videos!
Woohoo! Another adventure with the Woo! Riveting!! Safe travels!
Thank You for the show Adam
Hey Adam enjoy Las Vegas it's been a long time since I've been there looking forward to watching some of your videos on this great City
I LOVE THAT McDonnell’s…I MET MY HUSBAND OF 48 YEARS AT A McDonnell’s IN 1974 AND WEVE BEEN TOGETHER EVER SINCE.
The "Area Closed for Private Event" signs reminded me of the Toll stop in Blazing Saddles. "We gotta go back and get a s***-load of dimes!"
Been there done that. Good vid!
