VERY worth it, you should see the absurd amount of money I've dumped into complete junkers on my channel lol. These are pretty solid cars, much better than the next gen of Sentra. The only major issues I've seen with these is the ECMs have a bad habit of frying causing misfires but other than that they're rock solid
I think you got a great deal for a car to drive around town. Its a Sentra before CVTs so that is a bonus, Those are known to be reliable and it gets great MPG. It would be hard to beat your cash outlay for what you got to drive on a daily basis. I wouldn't want to take a long driving vacation in that, I know used to own a 2002 Sentra but it was a 5 speed. If you can drive that another 50K miles or upto 200K then it was a great deal, I think it will make it. I right now am driving a 2009 Ford Fusion with 170K, I bought that car off my father back in 2015 for $4500, he was the original owner. I drive it daily the AC still works which is important as I live in AZ. I don't think I can find another deal that is going to match the fusion in a monthly cost to drive. I am going to keep driving it until it ends up at its final destination the local Pull and Save in Phoenix. After owning several new cars in my life, I find cars like yours or mine bring be more enjoyment now !
I bought a used Toyota for $4,000 I'll never do it again first and last time. Ended up putting $5,000 into it was supposed to be a beater car I've owned Chrysler vehicles for 24 years never once did I ever had to put in over $500 in a repair!
It is more than worth it, have you seen the garbage vehicles on marketplace now? totally roached out cars are $2,000+ that won't even run right and a broken AC, This car is solid and should give you easily another 100,000 miles if you take care of it and crazy good mpg and gas will be $5/gal this summer...
This is something I think people should be discussing more: When is a car not worth it to fix, and when is the sweet spot to sale it without loosing too much value for your next car, having this in mind could seriously save people a good amount of money
U got a great deal. I have a 2006 Special Edition -red- with the 1.8 engine,. Love the car. Needs to be driven gently! Likely u may soon need an alternator , starter and complete front suspension replace.
I just bought an 09 camry with 206k for $1000. Video series drops this saturday. Learned that you can find good deals when people misdiagnose the issue with the car.
These cars understeer when pushed hard don’t speed in the rain or drive it like a civic my dad had one forever I lost control multiple times and my buddy bought it and crashed it on a small turn
Showing love to an old car will always be kinda cool, the lack of wastefulness is admirable
If this car was at a "Buy Here-Pay here" lot it would have been $2,000 down and a total price of $6,999@ 12.99% APY

I bought a Honda civic 2008 with 179kmiles for 2,900. It had new tires as well.
My friend drive a Sentra R of about the same year. I always thought it was a good looking car for a sedan

Looks clean for the year!
I think these have timing chains that will usually last the life of the car?
