Hi! I Really Like You’re videos 😍 I’ve been Doing loads Of re-search, and now i want a ferret😅😅 But i would ask for a food Routine for 2 ferrets? When i search They Can eat Meat, cat food, and 6-8 times feed a day 🤯 but i Go to School and Wake Up 6:30. I also Wanted Some answers from an actual owner.
I actually got it off Esty from Motor City Ferrets. It was like $25 bucks, but all the money goes to the ferret rescue they run, so thats good at least. My ferrets love the tunnel. They are always playing in it 😂. www.etsy.com/shop/MotorCityFerrets
May I ask why you don't feed them raw? No hate! Just curious. No matter the kibble or freeze dried food, the longer they're on it, the higher of a risk they have of insulinoma, which is basically ferret diabetes. All freeze dried/kibble foods contain too much starch/carbohydrates/sugars for them. You're one of the more knowledgeable ferret owners I've seen, so I'm sure you have good reason. Edit: I'm going to leave a brand of food that I find extremely healthy for ferrets, and a lot better than true kibble. It's called ZiwiPeak Air Dried Raw food. This is essentially jerky. It is still processed, so it is nowhere near better than raw, but it's the best I've seen. Please only get the CAT food, as the dog food contains plant matter. The chicken recipe is proven to be the most "fake" of them all, keep that in mind when buying it. Just giving another alternative to raw that I find to be the best. When feeding this, you must have at least 3 different proteins to give to them.
Grey so I am hoping to switch them sooner than later. Right now with my work schedule and side business, I am limited on time and I know that switching them can be very tedious and can require a decent amount of time making sure their eating the right amount of each categories of the raw diet (heart, liver, etc). I “tried” to switch them once in the past, but they are so imprinted on their current food and fought so hard against the raw diet, I was worried they weren’t getting enough of the nutrients they needed, so I caved and just kept feeding them their current diet. I may reach out to Bryne from Pazu and Friends to see more about her program.
@@FerretTails That does make sense. If you do decide to reach out to her, good on ya! But if you don't, I can recommend instead of starting with separate parts (Ex. Heart, Liver, Other organ) And being worried that they're getting enough, To make a balanced soup recipe with all of these ingredients in the right proportions. This ensures no matter how much they eat, that they are getting their nutrient requirements. Bryn from PazuAndFriends is probably your absolute best resource for raw transition help. And just a side note because I can't help but make sure anyone seeing this does it right, If the soup is not balanced correctly it can have major health effects on your ferret. Please do your research.
