- A man [Stan] and a boy both notice a wallet that has been left on the sidewalk, but the man relinquishes his claim to it when the boy's father, a policeman, arrives. Soon afterward, the man joins several others in following an attractive woman into a cafeteria. When he is ejected because of not having any money, he goes back and tricks the boy out of some change, and then makes another attempt.

Love stan laurel in his solo comedies, the birth of a comedy genius!
No wonder he was in a bit of rough shape at the end of his life between film and stage he must have taken thousands of falls.
Stan was great as a solo artist. I like him as this. Ollie was also good as a solo artist. When they were paired together history was perfect. Them 2 together were hilarious and funny ❤❤
They, like many comedy acts of their time, will never be truly matched. Laurel and Hardy, Abbott and Costello (even if they positively hated each other outside acting), the Three Stooges, the Marx Brothers. They all had a very specific unique chemistry between the actors that just made their performances unmatched.
I think young Stan is so handsome! 😃❤
This was Stan laurels earliest silent short made before lucky dog.
I believe his earliest film is called Nuts in May which was from 1917
Excellent!
This is a very different Laurel!
I see the Coca-Cola advertisements on the streets of 100 years ago!
Stan laurel fera une série de courts métrages et lorsqu'il fera en tant réalisateur des stan laurel comédies ont verras des courts métrages absolument incroyablement drôle.
I would like to apologise what I said earlier that the pretty lady in this film is indeed Mildred not Clarine Seymour.
Wow. Amazing collection. Curious. How did you find these films and how did you upload them ? Great channel. Are you still posting or involved ?

The Pretty Lady in this film is Mildred Reardon...not Clarine Seymour...see Hal Roach: "Another Fine Mess"
The pretty lady in this film is Clarine Seymour.
3:32 That’s Bud Jamison who would go on to be a Three Stooges supporting actor!!!
