Ive been tempted to get one of these myself. but ive been hesitant to know if i can use the brook universal board for the main controls, as im not sure i can be bothered to change between the fast io and USB. Ive also considered getting a PC Build, but like you say sounds like a lot of configuring im not any good with! Great stuff!
Yeah you would have to do a lot of re configuring and that's even if you could get it all working the type x multi is ment for JVS or Fast IO only really, same with a pc build unless it was all setup for xbox controllers.
Do you know if you what other motherboard you can fit in the taito type x3 case? I broke my socket pins and would like to upgrade the motherboard and maybe even the cpu. Any ideas? Thank you
Ahh thats sucks the socket pins are broke, never looked in to changing mine sorry mate so i dont know, your best bet is to get on the artax discord and ask on there this link may work discord.gg/c5y5kzwh. as for updating the CPU i hear anything better than the I5 it comes with dont make any difference your better of with the GPU.
I got mine off this arcade fourm www.ukvac.com/forum/ but they sometimes popup on ebay, the other way you could do it is buy one of yahoo japan there super cheap but you have to get them all setup yourself.
Well if you get a Type-X you dont have to worrie compatability, as for running it on a pc as long as your all intel and nvidia you should be ok as it is just a pc but not tryed it. mmm Type -X 4 not shore if the image works on that you would have to do some digging.

only a few games that wont run corectly like dead or alive 6, the latest virtual fighter and street fighter 5, i upgraded to a gtx 1060 card and everything runs perfect but if you not playing the few games that run slow you dont really need it, plus to upgrade the gf card you need to have a hacked bios so ask the seller. @@Brimzee84
The system is not mine and the setup is made for the type X 3 machines and that hardware configuation all setup to put in a arcade cab, you can use it on a pc but it will take a lot of configuring to get it working i will be giving that a try tho.

using a 360 wired controller, but any Xinput controller should work.
