I made my dragon wreath by watching your video. Everyone loves it. I posted it in a group on Facebook and have had so many ask how I made it. I have shared your video to everyone that has asked me about it. I hope it helps you out!
@825Chloe also, here is a link for the eyes. www.amazon.com/dp/B0CFQQ6NWV/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_8XNK7KE73WDHKCPA3AG4?linkCode=ml2&tag=crookedtree04-20
How much mesh did you use? I am going to make a red dragon for my grandson. He loves Game of Thrones, and his favorite color is red. I am going to buy two colors of red and black mesh. I have everything other than the mesh and canvas.😊
It took 54 pieces of mesh altogether. You could use 36 of red and 18 black. You SHOULD get 36 pieces out of one roll, but I’d get a second roll just in case (or cut the pieces to 9 1/2”)! Good luck and enjoy!!! I’m sure your grandson will love it!
I was just wondering, did you use 1 roll of each colored mesh? Or do I need to buy 2 rolls of each? Thank you!! Also, did the eyes stay stuck on well with the hot glue?
Hi there! The mesh is called Deluxe Wide Foil Mesh and I ordered it from Craft Outlet. The eyes are 30mm and were purchased from amazon. This is the link to the eyes: amzn.to/3LPTHwQ
I love these! :) I found the child's costume on Amazon but it's $30.99. Are you selling these wreaths and if so, how much? That's a lot for a costume to use in a wreath and I want to make sure if I make them and sell them, I am charging enough. Thank you!
My friend that I made these for bought the costume and eyes off of Amazon. I only charged her for the mesh and my time. You would definitely have to charge at least $100 for one of these!
I'm curious... Why can't the petals/scales be attached to the front of the wire frame? I don't understand why adding the needlepoint canvas to the reverse of the frame is necessary. I've watched many UA-camrs make the dragon wreath and no one has ever explained why adding needlepoint canvas to the reverse of the wire frame is necessary. Can you help me understand that?
You can attach the petals to the front; however, using the plastic canvas will keep the petals from shifting. Also, it just looks better laying flat, IMO.
I believe the 5 mesh plastic canvas has 5 holes per inch where the 7 mesh has 7 holes per inch. That means the 5 mesh has larger holes so your zip ties fit better. It would be tough to fit the zip ties into the holes of the 7 mesh.
Did you have a problem with the hot glue showing through the mesh after it dried? Mine did especially on black mesh. I don’t know how to fix it. Please help!
I just put a small line of hot glue and then I didn’t put the clothes pin directly onto where I put the glue. It didn’t show through. (I accidentally did put the clothes pin where the glue was and it didn’t look right.

This mesh is called “Deluxe Wide Foil Mesh”. Thanks for watching!

Good morning. What size are the eyes, please.
My friend that I made this for got the eyes. She got a pack that had several different sizes. However, I believe these ones were 30mm.
🥰🤩🐲
May I please ask where to buy all these items?
If you click on the description of this video and scroll down, you will find links to everything I use in this video.

I got it from amazon. Here is the link: amzn.to/3Lg7fRE
I was just wondering, did you use 1 roll of each colored mesh? Or do I need to buy 2 rolls of each? Thank you!! Also, did the eyes stay stuck on well with the hot glue?
I used 1/2 roll (eighteen 10” pieces) of each color and yes, the eyes stayed on using the hot glue!
@@crookedtreecreations thank you so much for responding! Great to know! And hooray about the eyes!
@@crookedtreecreationsthank you, I 'm going to try this for the Lunar New Year. 2024 is the year of the dragon 🐉
That’s awesome! Enjoy!!!
What mesh is this?? Where do i get the mesh and the eyes?

@@crookedtreecreations I bought mine through Temu, but if you watch the craft stores, it goes on sale, reasonably often.
What happens to hot glue, if it’s outside in freezing temperatures? I think for the eyes at least, I’m going to use gorilla glue.
I would use either Gorilla glue in the tube or E6000 if it would be in the hot sun.

Why the 5" mesh - what would happen if I used 7" mesh? Love this tutorial!

@@crookedtreecreations thank you. I am probably using too much. I am trying to use a flat iron with parchment paper to get some of it off.
