This is my favorite monster hunter video of all time.

@@gothxm i didn't like it at first honestly but the amount of possibilities you can do with the skills paired with the different stances: especially adept cb and aerial hbg, made me love it.
@@juless27 i was asking about the video lmao. I have mhgu but it's so clunky compared to World and Rise. The quest system and level design is particularly boring. Rise has the level problem but the combat is so much fun that i don't mind. The combat in mhgu is good as well though

I remember that one Arena hunt (Duramboros + Agnaktor) where Duramboros had me against a wall and started helicoptering ... Adept Guarded EVERY rotation of it.
Also, the most underrated tweak is the guard point added to your charged Double Slash. It's almost like the Lance's counter-poke, but without sacrificing the mobility.

This can be applied to other shield based adept styles like Lance and my god, it is satisfying to git gud at those adept guards and melt specific monsters. (Adept guard's effectiveness relies heavily on the monster so if you still get hit after adept guard even when attempting to guard again then that monster should be left well alone or just learn to not adept guard the specific attack)
That, or use adept dual blades to I-frame the entire combo altogether while delivering elemental damage in one twirl.

@@Lamurmure_ I played MH4 and 4U, but only really picked up Charge Blade in MHXX and continued using it for the majority of the GU playthrough. I'd say it's been a lot of fun learning the weapon!

In MHXX Adept style is known as Bushido style (ブシドー).
I played MHXX english patch, and nothing called bushido
And I want to ask, is adept CB guard make some counter damage?
@@belzeeboob5242 It is likely translated as it's official english name in the english patch, which would be Adept.
@@belzeeboob5242 The adept guard can act as a red shield guard point iirc (in that it does small ko dmg). The sword mode charged slash also has a long guard point period in which it also does the same thing. Using that and adept guard followups can be used as "counter damage". Do note that for charged slash guard points to not stagger against a fierce attack, you may have to have guard +1 or guard +2 armor skill activated.

Very well worth the financial and mental investment, especially if you find it on a discount. And it's a good time with friends too if you are into that.
