How to Replace a GoPro Hero 8 Lens | American Explorer

So while recording my hike up Mount Elbert I dropped and shattered the outer lens on my GoPro Hero 8. Little did I know this is the only GoPro in the lineup without a replacement. Luckily I was able to find a 3rd party replacement. In this video I'm going to show you how to replace the lens.

does it lose its water-resistance after the repair?

In my case it did retain water-resistance as the inner lens wasn't damage, just the outer lens which is mainly to provide protection to that inner lens. As long as you didn't also damage the body you should still be water proof.
