- An unsuspecting nobody and a washed up war veteran both end up trapped in an endless cycle - one in a padded dream and the other in a rotting nightmare.
I'm probably the only person to draw parallels between Pomni and Soldier since they're both in completely different mediums of 3D animation, but I still thought the concept of them being in a similar situation being trapped in a neverevending purgatory that are such stark contrasts to each other would be an interesting comparison. I apologize if this comes off as a cringey ship edit, this isn't a pathetic attempt at a ship as it is me just thinking the two characters trapped in their similar yet so-obviously different scenarios was an interesting dynamic.

0:31 gave me chills. In pomni's you atleast see at she is "looking" at, while in soldier scene it's just pure horror in his eyes.

Yeah the minute I finished watching TADC I saw Emesis Blue pop up in my recommendations and I immediately thought to myself "wait why does Pomni's arc sound so familiar with Soldier's" and just went from there

Knowing Goose and her similar works like Runmo it will definitely head towards the existential genre, this entire pilot was her brainchild so it'll go exactly how she wants it to

The abyss does stare back; for Pomni it’s visibly shown and for soldier it’s through everything that has happened and him still just existing
As Pomni floated in the void, visions flashed before her eyes. People trapped, just as she was. A man sitting at a desk, mindlessly tapping buttons. A group of scientists, sitting in a circle in a canyon. Three puppets sitting at a table. 5 people in cages surrounding an engraved obelisk. A bald man hammering a piece of metal. Clang, clang clang. And all of them watched over by someone. And then, a man in a heavy jacket with a scared look on his face. For an instant, their eyes met. They saw each other, and recognized the other's plight.

One is in Eternity of hell. Another in Eternity of Torture. Its been longer than we will think both will go on.
My favorite part of this is how it seems like Soldier and Pomni are interacting, especially in the running part, it’s Like Pomni is trying to reach soldier, but he backs away

As Soldier and Pomni talk to each other near the campfire of the multiversal land,they find an facility similar to Conagher Slaughterhouse.
They venture around and encounter entities wich are far more disturbing than ever.Until they find the real exit,the briefcase.
The fact that the digital circus has over 15 times emesis blue's view count concerns me. Emesis blue: the film all animators (myself included) try to at least live up to.
Same, and it’s honestly kinda a slap in the face when it took a dude to make a cinematic masterpiece in an old ass game engine over 5 years but it didn't come from a dude who already had over 1M subs like Gooseworx and Glitch

I really like this edit. It’s cool to think how different yet they are similar in some ways. One’s a psychological comedy with a bit of thriller while the other is a serious psychological horror.
Thank you I really appreciate it. I thought their differing reactions to their scenarios was interesting. Whenever Pomni's faced with her fate her eyes are constantly shaking or her pupils shrink drastically hinting at insanity, but when Soldier faces his, he's completely stoic and his eyes remained deadlocked on what he's witnessing. While Pomni was just some random person who is understandably freaking out about her situation because she has no idea how to deal with it, Soldier is uncannily calm and collected all throughout his situation, mostly because he faced threats to his life every single day from his three combat tours in the U.S. Army and as a mercenary for Builders League, thus having the competence and experience to have a level head. Had their roles been switched Pomni would've delved to the point of complete obstruction or worse killed, while Soldier would just accept being in the Digital Circus and probably seclude himself to live out his last days in peace or befriend Kinger

Pomni possibly would’ve turned into something horrifying like how both Scouts ended up due to the Respawn Machine. She would’ve been there longer than she can think of… eternity… Soldier would’ve probably been sort of fine forgetting his real name and going by his class. Soldier, prob leaving the others wondering what he went through to befriend Kinger and such. The possibilities are endless…
This fits pretty well because Ponmi and Soldier are both going through hell.

If they have a Digital Circus, then we have our Respawn Machine.
And those 2 are path of suffering each them have their unique way to torment their victims.

The blue shall sent you an illusion being lost to madness and never connect to reality once again.
While the red give you knowledge of the darkest secrets of our reality and face hardship that will harm you.
Both don’t do physically, but mentally effectively.
One woman with vr goggles trapped inside what seems to be insanity and the other experiencing what is to be insanity.
At some point, these two characters realized that they didn't belong to themselves

I feel that with the war horror of emisis blue and the silly nightmare of the digital circus, the convection between soldier and pomie is really good between in the scene where they both look behind them, when she looks in the mirror and soldier at the picture of other soldiers getting executed it’s almost a parallel universe to each other
I love crossovers that have no business crossing over with each other but fit perfectly in place anyway
They're kind of opposite of each other but for some reason the edit managed to bring them both together so well.
This combines my (Emesis blue) and my friends (ADC) favourite things together into one edit and I'm not even kidding

Soldier escapes the loop. He's the only one to not die. And continue to live his life after the events in the movie.
Everyone else is trapped in a loop.

I predict the existence of a character only Pomni can see or get to, and the subsequent loss of that character without the rest of the group ever having known of their existence.

Their both in a a never ending cycle but their both different Pomni is in a game with toys and silly cartoon logic while soldier is in a horrifying rotting dark atmosphere with only death covering his path

I don't think amazing digital circus is masterpiece now, it's just pilot series,I think the series can be considered a masterpiece in a couple of episodes, since it has not yet revealed its potential
The funny/sad thing, soldier has it better than the family friendly circus residents.
Sure, his situation is not good, but he has hope and is not stuck in an eternal nightmare.

As soldier stared out into the sprawling void infront of him,he began to see small and strange lights dance across the endless darkness,glimpses into other worlds,he saw himself in a different time and space,sitting around a table with 8 other people he barely recognized,he seemed so happy,he saw a young woman wandering an abandoned research lab,a man holding a baby standing alone on a beach and a knight sitting locked away in a prison cell,then it finally settled on one image,what looked like a little girl in a jester outfit,clown makeup on her face,floating alone in an empty white space,their eyes met,and at that moment,Soldier knew that she had seen the same horrors he had witnessed...

Emesis Blue and MD would be cool, but MD isn't a psychological horror, so there's not much to link there.

Many times I wonder (and this is one of them) how great a series that combines fear and comedy can be, that from such material you can enjoy it, it would be wonderful. ❤❤❤
I don’t know how these two completely different things can have so much in common. But then I realize, they do have a bunch in common. One is in a world with 5 other people, trapped in a circus for who knows how long. And the other is in a endless war, and is hired to fight forever. None of them could escape. For Pomni, once you are in the game, you cannot go back. Even if you think you have an idea, it will not work. For soldier, the respawn machine will not let them die because it is too expensive to replace the 9 other mercenaries in tf2. So, They made respawn machine. Both, I think are equally traumatized. Pomni put on a VR headset and now is trapped. When she walks through an exit door, it just leads to more dead ends, like a maze, just teasing her about how much she wants to get out. For soldier, the amount of blood and murder he saw in emesis blue and team fortress 2 is crazy. He also lost one of his friends, a red demoman (which he named cyclops). But before cyclops freezed to death, he had a grenade in his hand. So soldier had to pull the pin, so Stalingrad (A.K.A the heavy) could be killed. Spoiler alert: he doesn’t. So now that I think about it, Pomni and soldier have a lot in common.
