I didn't know how many 20th-21st Century themed Human Faction there are in the community. But I did make a Headcanon/RP Faction called the New Sol Meridian. Comprised of separatists from the Imperium due to being victims and witnesses alike of the will, sacrifice and name of the Emperor of Man were being used as excuses by the overzealous to justify atrocities, and unwanted killing of fellow loyal humans as "examples or suspected of treason and heresy", plus said Imperium had also disrespected the Emperor's wishes. Lead to the point that many Commissars are killed on sight to prevent the "Corruption of Overzealousness" as it is treated as no different from the Corruption of Chaos before founding a territory of their own. NSM have been not only salvaging tech of the Imperium, but also Xenos Tech like Tau, Eldar, Ork (Just by making tech that screams Orkish enough, specially making the infamous Lazaz DEBW [a heavy laser weapon comprised of las weapons and "Orkyfied" them to the point of making a mean Ork-Styled Heavy Laser Projector akin to Lascutters of lethality and Eldar Fire Pikes of continuous beam weapon before overheat] and Prizmaz [a shoulder held Eldar Prism weapon that's salvaged from older Fire Prism Tanks before shrinking them down for infantry held use. Charge up for a devastating blast just like the mentioned older Fire Prism Tanks, pretty much a Orky Spartan Laser.], and limited Necron [able to make LongLas Snipers and Hotshot Marksman Rifles that fire Gauss energy.]. They made tech and vehicles that are hybridization of Human, Tau and Eldar both military and civilian use. They still worship the Emperor but don't use him as a getaway from justice card that their Imperial kin do nowadays, yet they also worship a Eldar Goddess Isha due to finding a well that contained her tears as said blessed tears were initially mistaken for those of either a Adepta Sororitas Living Saint or from the Emperor himself. Upon discovering her and seeing that she's trapped within Nurgle's Garden, they vowed to free her from the Plague God's rotten hands but lacked power, power of the Emperor's Light. Yet upon the same world that contained tears of Isha, there were readings of Psychic energy, and found etheric energy that they collected for study. Upon feeling it, those who are exposed to this energy felt like they were "blessed", blessed by not only by the miracles of the Living Saints, but also by the God Emperor's Light, thus calling this miracle energy Radiance. They used this power that while it is connected to the Immaterium, it feels purer and clean as though it's the Warp energy not corrupted by Chaos, they see this as advantage, but also gained thoughts of hope. They used this along with the Isha's tears to heal those that are injured and sick, the tested were rejuvenated. Everyone of the NSM gained thoughts of hope. Hope, to be given to the Emperor. They see another mission to revive their Emperor, as he brought hope to Humanity as their before, so why wouldn't they return the favor by rejuvenating the Emperor, full of light and hope save the Imperium from threats both within and outside. They were successful to an extent, he's rejuvenated, but the power also caused him to ascend godhood much to their surprise. While an accident to turn the Emperor into a literal God-Emperor, but a miracle accident as his ascension caused a chain of events such as the Living Saints became more powerful, Radiance more potent and became abundance of it with chances of Psykers gaining Radiant energy instead of Warp energy. Even added bonus, the Warp Storm that split the Imperium in two is shattered, allowing both halves to be reunited. There are those within the Imperium are split in the views of the risky and reputation heavy feat. One half praised the NSM with respect and honor with severe majority from the Adeptus Astartes Chapters, Adeptus Sororitas Orders and Adeptus Custodes with unanimous agreement. Other half would view the NSM in negative light as traitors, heretics, and infamously "Commissarbanes and Emperor's Corruptors" as to demonize them with some smaller amount of Adstra Militarum Regiments, Space Marine Chapters and Sisters of Battle Orders, while the vast majority are from the Inquisition that believed their control over the Imperium is now irreparably jeopardized. Said Inquisition did plan on the extermination of the New Sol Meridian by invading the New Sol System and it's lone colonized capital named after Holy Terra's previous and ancient name, Earth. Not everyone agreed with this but couldn't make a move against this other than staying put, not risking another civil war within the Imperium. The NSM did prepare of this attack ahead of time during their prosperity in New Sol, even had Eldar refugees that survived older invasions on their Garden Colonies and Tau refugees that lost their home by said older invasions. The Battle of Earth in New Sol was a bloody fight especially when the invading Regiments, Chapter and Order lead by Anti-NSM Inquisitors where their numbers were greater than the NSM. The NSM made do with Radiance, better tech, equipment, advanced vehicles [themed after 21st Century vehicles especially instead of glorified WW1-2 tech. And recreate certain ones such as Abrams, F-22s, F-35s, F-117s and B-2s into the Super Abrams, Eagles, Crows and Nevermores.], and Special forces based on Aspect Warriors [Howling Wolves, Jumping Spiders, Gravity Grizzlies, Shadow Ravens, Unyielding Falcons, and Dark Scorpions.]. And in a surprising event during the battle in New Sol, NSM gained aid from a Eldar Craftworld, Oteshfaras, that recently arrived to the system out of curiosity before moving in to assist on repelling the invasion. The Humans, Eldar and Tau of the New Sol Meridian appreciated the help just as much they were surprised by said help. Oteshfaras were equally surprised from not only the mentioned 3 species in the NSM working closely together as kindreds, but also from the honest and genuine gratitude given to them by the NSM Humans. An alliance between NSM and Oteshfaras was then forged later on prior to fighting off marauding Orks and Dark Eldar. Sorry for the long text, just wanted to show this and did remembered the faction both itself and the story. Which nodoubt in getting reworks as you read this. Amature story? Admittedly yes, but had fun with it.

Bruh we haven't even talked about their most infamous Militarum Mechanized Wing "Warpigs!" The Might of The WARPIGS! Many do not know when the founding of the Warpigs was christened, however it was surmised that this mechanize division was informally constructed in the mires of the urban warfare while suppressing a chaos insurrection in IRA-3 in the hivecity of Fanro-Jullah. Before their formal formation of the 3rd Light Armor and Reconnaissance Battalion, they were formerly the 3rd Light Recon and an Ad Hoc Light Armor detachment sent to support the 3rd Marine Regiment. In the fighting the Light Armored Tanks of the Ad Hoc Detachment became crucial, so much so after the first battle they were formed officially as the 3rd LAR Battalion. The fighting was a brutal close-quarter urban warfare, where many regiments such as the 3rd Marine, 1st Marine and the 3rd LAR Foot Recons were subjected to fighting in rooms, buildings and even tight alleys. As such members of the infamous 3rd LAR are distinguished fighters in Urban Warfare, their famed tactics of precision and recklessness, formed their most infamous tactics in which they colloquially called it "Smoking The Rat." Basically the infantry of the mechanized wing would detach from their IFVs, crawl in the urban sprawl from bottom-up to top-down from building to building, essentially driving the enemy to retreat to the open urban streets, where the IFV's lay in wait and fire upon the enemy whom have retreated upon the IFV's firing lanes. Fun Fact: One of their Pigs even got the bestown the imperial blessing, and as such the members of the 3rd LAR refer to the said IFV as "Saint Warpig" PS: this is pretty much a hodgepodge of real history and creative writing, so some of them really happened, and some of them is just writing bias and lore on my part

This is my second comment (because I genuinely like this fanmade faction) I'm imagining the Astartes Chaplain to be named "Hartman" the chaplain tends to be sharp-tongued and relentless as he is dedicated to his Marine's training While the "Daemon Dogs" Astartes company are the ones to counter any traitor Marines in their wake The 101st Shock troop Guardsmen regiment is infamous for dropping, clearing and capturing a Tau controlled imperial planet in mere hours due to their ruthlessness and discipline that it rivals the Cadians in every possible way (And they weren't supported with any heavy mechanized equipments at that)

Man we need now a lore video. Whenever as I imagine it be a lot of work to make it. But it be cool to see what changes because of Usonian existence would happen. And I like to imagine in the grim darkness of the future there is still hope because Usonian fights on for the freedom of all humanity and there faith in Jesus Christ and the emperor of man who gave them the chance to go above and beyond.

A couple things about Usoian is they have more technology as they dont use ai, they have none of the Commissariats in there ranks as the militiaurm always stand and fight against the galactic horrors only retreating if every combat option is used up. They never blow up there own planet's to win battles. The Usonian Astartes are the original Marine corps and they serve the USA and compared other space marines they have great numbers and often outnumger the other space marines in part thanks to veterans from the militiarum.

My guess is that this USA is the descendant of some DAOT US space forces fleets that were stranded when the warp became unstable and the old DAOT human civilization collapsed.So they builded their new USA in the star system they were stuck in
