How can we not have a contract out clause. When we get a new job, we are given a 3 month probation contract, leaving us vulnerable to being subsequently let go. So how could this not be included in a contract for a new unemployed manager, taken as a unproven risk, when the Board includes two very successful businessmen, and Brady, who negotiated an unbelievable beneficial contract for the stadium. I can not believe that Lopo can not be dismissed, without compensation, subject to his deficient performances to date. Maybe he needs to meet a specified number of defeats.
What is the difference between buying a player, and buying a manager out of his contract? It sounds like exactly the same thing. So why the different mindset?
100% agreed. I was one of the people who’s been saying we have to give the new manager until December at least before we see what the team is capable of. Well, we are a month out and unfortunately I can’t see that he’s even began to start anything for the team to improve on. Putting players on out of position and causing them to run around the pitch looking lost and foolish honestly.
He’s got to go. If we really are saying that Everton is a must win or he’s gone, it surely means he’s never going to be good enough. It’s been 10 games and he’s already down to last chance games. Not good enough. However it makes me very nervous to see who Sully will force on us next.

I'd be shocked if he was sacked after we lose to Everton (they look like they could give us a game) - it would make too much sense. I see your logic, Geo, but feel that Sullivan hasn't made enough undermining comments and generous deadlines/ultimatums in the media yet to demonstrate his "patience", good breading and sense of fair play before doing the obvious. Then of course, this gives him time to lineup Potter. Oh dear.
If Sullivan is worried about paying Lopetegui and his staff up if he sacks him then just think off the cost of relegation... He needs removing now as thats where we are heading, win lose or draw against Everton he needs replacing come the International break...
Modern fans have zero patience. I'm not saying I'm a fan. I genuinely can't say after a short time like this. But those who thought just anyone could do better than Moyes were clueless and also those now asking for him to be sacked after 10 games and being 6 points above relegation are also clueless.
Perhaps not, I just have nothing positive to say about him after 6 months and 12 matches. I wasn’t expecting instant success but I was expecting some form of evidence but so far, nothing.
After the ist pre season friendly in usa i was thinking omg where we gonna be couple mnths down the line i honestly thought things would slowly start to become clearer on the pitch.

Deep down we all know that Lopetegui is never going to turn this around with this group of players. Seeing as the current squad is not going to change much then we need a new head coach to get the best out of them

I am concerned that Lopetegui may be "under instruction" for team selections, for having to drop players into the squad where they may not be a fit because he has to! Lopetegui is a good manager, a solid manager, and cannot see how he is putting out these players expecting a result.

I think everyone has seen enough and any turn around would only be temporary.Hopefully the decision is made already, if so i imagine they are not going to publicise it. Fingers crossed he is a dead man walking. The big question is who do we get?
Either they think he’s right for the job or they don’t. If they don’t sack him now, if they do think he’s right for the job then they need to give him until Xmas atleast. I would get rid now personally, he’s had long enough to get things right, we look like we’ve gone backwards.
Sullivan has no judgement or instincts with regards to a decent manager. If he gets rid of this one instead of putting things right he'll just pick another random uninspiring name instead of analysing the best available candidates with ambition.
Wouldn't surprise me if Sullivan is on Mourinho to get booted out of his job. Wouldnt cost a penny in compensation and would in his head get a big name that will appease everyone. Unfortunately for Sullivan hes probably about 10 years too late!
JLO, worked a month before his contract was signed. Worth only 3 million each year for 2 years, qualify for Europe a 3 rd year... sacking could be double that? Sulivan won't waste 6-12 + million for the new manager. Will HE + the same points as last year...
Every game that we leave this stink in charge is a game wasted. We need to ACT NOW. Forget the big appointment, that chance has come and gone, what we need is (and don't hate me for this) is a firefighter that can come in and just settle everything down, get some sort of identity on the pitch going, shore us up and the back and just get us playing decent honest football.
A win against Everton doesn't suddenly make Lopetegui competent. He plays different tactics every 45 minutes, and the players look lost. Even when he eventually gets sacked the dwarf will make a hash of the next appointment. His policy is to go cheap rather than what will improve West Ham.
Beating Everton is just prolonging the misery around the place. Let's get realistic... we ain't beating Everton and judging by our current form, we will offer next to nothing against Arsenal and Newcastle
its alrite talking about bad managers and coaches, but what about the players, this current bunch are simply not good enough, maybe 3 or 4 are not bad, but it must be the west ham way and buy absolute horrors.
That board statement is a copy/paste from last season , jeez this club is an absolute laughing stock joke and definitely has to many cooks on board!! they are litteraly taking the piss out of this cash cow or pie playing happy families amongst themselves for their own benefit and not of the fanbase . we should demand or protest they all sell up ! one game an empty stadium he would feel presure to sell up imo .

Why don't give Antonio one more game to score a goal
Please please please can we not do the whole ‘he’s got 3 games’ thing again
Sullivan is coming under fire. If Sullivan wants to save face he would sack now
Why wait til the Everton game Sullivan we can all see he has lost the dressing room .
I'm no Mystic Meg, but no.
I think I’d rather have Mystic Meg at the moment
One of them seems to make it up on a daily basis and...well you know where this joke goes.
happy and nappy nuptials. 🧑🤝🧑👶
Who for new coach ?
How can anyone trust our board to make the right decision.
Not sure anyone does tbh?
Interesting thing will be if we lose to Everton and Lop is still here…
JLO, worked a month before his contract was signed.
I think we should back the manager. If I was Loppy I'd walk because I wouldn't want to work with all this constant speculation.
Why not use Kean and noble as interim manager till end of season
FA Cup in there somewhere right?
That’s later in January mate
@HammersChat thats right, come in 3rd round right?
I cant see us beating most of those teams
Dear God I hope before that! COYI ⚒️
Get tadiz in so he has agame before international so he has game and a break to see what he has and get nolan back as assistant
A win against Everton doesn't suddenly make Lopetegui competent. He plays different tactics every 45 minutes, and the players look lost. Even when he eventually gets sacked the dwarf will make a hash of the next appointment. His policy is to go cheap rather than what will improve West Ham.
Bedt wishes/ congratulations for your wedding on Saturday Geo....Is Gonzo best Man ??😊
Thanks David and no he isn’t but he has an important role!!
Why can will not just have a decent team decent board rather than this constant issues
Who would you rather have potter or mourinho
I’m just waiting for us to be linked with Erik Ten Hag… surely just a matter of time 😂
Beating Everton is just prolonging the misery around the place.
Let's get realistic... we ain't beating Everton and judging by our current form, we will offer next to nothing against Arsenal and Newcastle
PSR or FFP excuses ref Loppy good call...Geo 👍
Just a prediction mate
@HammersChat good one thou ...👍
its alrite talking about bad managers and coaches, but what about the players, this current bunch are simply not good enough, maybe 3 or 4 are not bad, but it must be the west ham way and buy absolute horrors.
We are screwed
That board statement is a copy/paste from last season , jeez this club is an absolute laughing stock joke and definitely has to many cooks on board!! they are litteraly taking the piss out of this cash cow or pie playing happy families amongst themselves for their own benefit and not of the fanbase . we should demand or protest they all sell up ! one game an empty stadium he would feel presure to sell up imo .
Give him next game if we lose get him out
