Yes journaling videos would be great! There are a lot of videos about how to get started with journaling however, I’d like to see content for those of us who regularly journal and want to be more sophisticated about it.

Dear Helen, what you say is really exactly how I feel about gratitude journaling. Thank you for expressing it so well.
I started some years ago and found out that my mind really shifted.
I'm now more able to focus and be aware of the good moments of my day all day long, even very small things, especially the small things (the great connection with/between my daughters, a smile of a stranger, birds, colors, the beauty of life around me...).
It's also so true that I first began with small sentences to express my gratitude on my notebook, thinking I would remember the details. But I was wrong, this memories fade away. And the more I'm precise in my writing, the more joy it gives me in the moment I'm writing because I have to focus and deepen my thoughts, but reading it some years later brings back the memories more vividly.
Thank you for your work and sharing your thoughts and advices.
(And sorry for my unperfect and messy english)

So many good gems in this video; “write about being grateful for what you get to do” was my favorite. Thank you 🙏🏽

I’m so pleased you enjoyed it, thank you. It’s a great quote isn’t it. In my head I now call my “to do” list my “I get to do list”. It’s such a change in mindset 🥰❤️

Thank you Helen! This is a wonderful reminder about something powerful that we can do to counter all the negativity we are exposed to daily! I have made gratitude journals, but did not keep up with them. I think this is the perfect time to start again! And so for today, Helen, I am grateful that I watched this lovely video, and for YOU!!!

Thank you for sharing this video about gratitude journaling- you are right about one negative thought perhaps spiraling to even more…I’ve noticed that for myself and I am now interested to seeing how gratitude journaling will help me focus on the many blessings in my life.

Thank you Helen! I do gratitude journaling, but very infrequently, so this video is encouraging me to be more consistent & perhaps more specific in the things I am grateful for

❤ the way you explain this is very helpful Helen, I used to do gratitude journaling too and for exactly the reason of it becoming a 'chore' I stopped. I agree, focussing on the smallest things, but in combination with a bit more depth is the way to go 😊

I can really see how a gratitude journal would be so good for one’s mental health. It’s something I think I need to explore more fully. When I tried one previously I found it too repetitive. I take your ideas on board. Thank you dear Helen x

As serendipity would have it, this video was timed perfectly. I thoroughly appreciated the reminder of what gratitude journaling is supposed to be about. I have definitely suffered with boredom with myself when I have attempted to start a gratitude journal, I made it so repetitive, I guess it felt more like a chore and I was always rushing to get it done. So thank you for the reminder of what the intention of this wonderful tool is about.

Helen: your message was well put! Everyone needs to be reminded of all the positive things in our lives that we start to take for granted. The little everyday things we do that many people can’t do. Thank you for taking the time to make this video. Very worthwhile. Carol from California

What an important video, Helen! I've been thinking about starting a Gratitude Journal for a long time (along my other journals), but haven't yet.
I've got a disease of the connective tissues called hypermobility Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, which gives me fatigue and pain. When I saw this video it just struck me that maybe it's even more important to keep a gratitude journal then, when every day is a struggle. Really makes me think! Thank you! 🤗
Wishing you a Happy Easter, or as we say in Sweden, Glad Påsk! 🐣 🌼🪻🏵

Really helpful, thanks Helen! I have a small notebook by my bed where I try to jot down a few things I am grateful for at the end of each day. But it's good to go deeper from time to time so I'll be doing that today. A great antidote to feeling fed up and sorry for myself while I'm poorly!

@@HelenColebrook thanks for the encouragement. I will give it a try again. I was just writing inside a productive community all the benefits of journaling and speaking of blocks of resistance. I definitely have a resistance to gratitude journaling, but I will listen to this video often and I am sure it will help. You are the very first person out of the art community, self help or anyone for that matter that has put this topic so well.
