    Just getting ready to do the same thing on my 660 Grizzly, the video helped my confidence level a lot. The only thing I would like to have seen you spend a little more time on is the timing sequence itself and how to time everything, timing marks etc.

      Glad it helped! We already broke it again so I’ll be making one more video on this soon. We ride stuff hard around here haha

    How did you reinstall the gear with the springs on it behind the flywheel??

    • @flipposgarage
      @flipposgarage  Рік тому +1

      You have to make sure you keep the springs in place and the springs slide into the recessed slots on that gear and that lock ring holds that gear in place. Does this help? I’ve been making sure my video skills are better in my new videos my apologies.

    You didn’t really explain how to remove and install tensioner and set the tension back.

      @flipposgarage  Рік тому

      It’s because it’s just two bolts to remove/install and it can only be installed one way. Once you install and turn it ,it sets tension automatically with a built in spring. Make sure you have installed everything and set your timing before installing tensioner. Hope this helps.

      The timing goes like this, make sure piston is at top dead center (piston is all the way up) when you install the cam and cam gear there are two dots on the cam gear you want these to be exactly level with the deck of the motor (dots parallel with top end deck) make sure valves are closed and the lobes of the cam are facing down and install the timing chain. Also very important, u can have ur timing right and think it’s off if your valve clearance is off by even a small amount refer to video for this. If your timing chain is even one link off it won’t b in time. So make sure timing is good then check valve clearance. If you still have trouble email me I’ll help further. flipposgarage@gmail.co

      @@flipposgarageWhat do you mean by valve clearance if it is shifted?

      Was still running few month ago, I’d say if you have the money get a better kit though.. if you do order this kit order a separate head gasket kit the gaskets are trash that come with it

      @@flipposgarage these can’t really be used to tow much over 1k because the transmissions? I have a 3200 ib tow behind lift I’d like to move around flat job sites but from my understanding it shifts within the low setting and clutch/trans will not hold up

      @@KollynJ it’s on flat ground so I’m sure it will be ok I used it to pull my truck before and it’s way over that haha that’s just the safety rating they put on it should easily tow double make sure u have a hitch receiver pulling that much
