Hey again Clay, really enjoying this yarn,I came from a rural background and went off the rails going to high school,I luckily got my head round things by 20 and went on to hunt my way through my 20’s,30’s and into my 40’s.You’re a prophet Clay,I hope lots of youngsters watch your stuff and it enables them to choose the right path,it’s a wild old world out there today….thanks Clay 👍
I have what is known as highly superior autobiographical memory (HSAM). I can even remember all the details when my brother Tristan was born, and I was only 18 months old. My short-term memory however has not been the same ever since the hospital gave me a drug so I would not remember waking up after a surgery that went bad 5 years ago when I had cancer. There are some things I wish I could forget.
My band supported Bo Diddley at Maceys back in those days . Maybe even earlier around the late 70s . He had a pickup band of locals who basically got ' corrected ' the whole show and schooled by Bo on how to play his music properly.
@@thebrocheckclub1777 I reckon!! Just a kid playing drums in a covers band and nek minute I'm standing in front of him... surreal! I felt sorry for those local blues guys. He gave them shit lol
Maybe the Bamboo Bar at the Oaks (big white building corner Manners, and Cuba St). I don't think it was the Dorian on Willis St, as don't think they had anyone playing live. but, yeh, could have been any seedy place down some alleyway back then!
🇦🇺 Australia 🇦🇺 yer brother nice 1.... had a mate kick off in life this arvo so been a sad day... any-a-ways God Bless all n RIP SHANE 4122 Brisbane Australia 🇦🇺
Wow clay that was a incredible story mate had me laughing 😆 again and I was just memorised by the whole story and I don’t believe in women being hit by any man no matter what it was over I grew up watching my mum being hit by men she was trying to have a relationship with but I was to young to do anything but if she asked me to grab something for her I did and I would run to the neighbours house and get help. And kissing that girl that was so funny to especially the slap in the face you must have got the wrong single ow well that’s part of growing 🙏🏿 buddy really enjoyed it. 🤠😂😘
Very good. Cuba Mall, yes a vibrant place back then and yes there is a lot to be said for focus... and self-control, neither of which I possess in sufficient amounts :D
Incredible story mate and inspirational to with that word focus , and to know this happend over 40 yrs ago the way u describe it feels like it happend a few yrs ago , I always thought eating good tucker and going to the gym living a healthy lifestyle a flash nice car was a early 2000s thing to now and I'm a 80s baby
I’m wondering what your living situation is now my friend I’m 55 and am struggling to not be homeless and you inspire me. I’m wondering about my happiness when things go south.
55 is a tough age for us men regarding our health. It is a time to reflect on the changes we need to make to our lifestyle around food & any addiction. I have had to make massive changes. i was renting up until 4 years ago. I end up buy the land off my landlord. The house was deemed worthless and unlivable so I made the bedroom and kitchen new with the help of my mate Arb. The rest of the house I will never finish most likely as I would rather put my money into a v8 Landcruiser. Good luck brother.
Very colourful wanderings Clay! Love it, try some Oil of Oreggano, put a dropper of it way at the back of your mouth and swallow some water straight away, its Hot, clears everyting, Cheers!
You are the ultimate story teller Clay! 😊
