I still remember how awkward it was being paired up at school with someone you didn't associate with socially, you knew them by appearance, they were in your year level but you'd never talked to them before and after school was done you never would again but for that short period of time you had to interact.
I love this whole movie. If you haven't seen it in a long time and you go back and watch it you forget how mean they were my goodness but it also breaks down all those barriers that people put up and lo and behold they all become friends by the end. Love it love it love it I have a sign that says The Breakfast Club that I hung up in my room that took up three quarters of the room of the wall going all the way around most of my room at 16 years old after seeing the movie. The whistle scene is also one of my favorites but there's so many favorites to speak of I would be here all day😁 Don't you, forget about me Simple Minds
They still do. You should watch closer, then you could see them too. Of course,if by they you mean Hollywood, it’s true that cinema has change and often, not for the better. But overall, even in Hollywood, there is a lot more going on that people give it credit for.
Youre right. I can rewatch so many of the 80s movies and never get tired of them. There's a reason they just keep doing a bunch of remakes of movies from the 80s.
well a 2000s spoof movie did parody this and i think one of the reasons why the movie is still iconic/relevant today is bc it has a timeless message and characters, even if the cultural climate changes and society
What song is that they're whistling I know the bit that Bender whistles by himself as Beethoven's 5th but I can't figure out the song that they are all whistling together
i also like Allison and Andrew's relationship the best. It runs pretty deep.
“I’ve seen her dehydrated, sir. It’s pretty gross.” LOL! I love that line.

Big smile on my face.. great movie. 80s forever
80s is overrated, too many serial killers. 90s was peak
It cracks me up when he starts whistling like that when the principal walks in 😂🤣
It's Beethoven's fifth symphony which I'm surprised that he knows
😂😂😂😂
for everybody asking it’s called the Colonel Bogey March. Made famous from the movie bridge on the river Kwai.

and to think mr vernon has no idea he just sealed their fate by pairing them up
When they actually made good movies

OKAY BOOMER

They still do wannabe boomer there was plebty of crap that came out of the 80's.
It’s crazy because this seems like something from the 2000’s, I would never have thought this was an 80’s movie

My favorite movie....😂
Frankly, I’d rather eat my lunch in the library than the cafeteria because the former is cleaner.
They're whistling because they're not allowed to sing the lyrics "Vernon has only got one ball"
Imagine 🎶 hi-ho 7 dwarfs whistle along instead.
I like this movie even though I'm old already (45 years), but I like these classic movies. Have a nice weekend 👍👌💙

Colonel Bogey March as it was whistled in Bridge Over The River Kwai
Vernon has only got one ball...
And old goerring…
best part
What is it that they are whistling???
colonel bogey march
Colonel Bogey’s March
A diss track before it was cool.
I had no idea Dick was an offensive name and had to be bleeped out of this scene.
It’s Binge Society, they bleep everything it’s ridiculous
Andrew: I think the cafeteria would be a more suitable place for us to eat lunch in sir.
Vernon: Well I don't care what you think, Andrew.
Me: 💅
colonel bogey
The abrupt transition from "i dont care what you think andrew" to "UHH DICK!?" always cracks me up
❤❤❤
