Thank you for dropping in on my first drive of the MG Cyberster. *Please read* - Apologies for the strange exposure and colour in parts of this video, for some reason all my GoPro footage came out overexposed. Not sure what happened here as the footage from the other videos shot on this day with other cars were not affected. Hopefully this does not detract from your experience.
Completely irrelevant comment - An MX-5 (ND) drove by me today, and it looked so perfect for the UK (in the context of a 2 seater sports car). I couldn’t help thinking, ‘what more does anyone need’. I know how I’d spend my money (and pocket the change).
I think the base model with the extra range would be the go because I see this as more of GT than an out and out sports car. Long distance touring with the roof down is really appealing
If you do get a chance to drive the Cyberster again for the week, maybe drive the 2 wheel version to see if that is a slightly more involving drive. I quite like the looks, just wondering the weight of those scissor doors if the mechanism started to play up unexpectedly..
@@kofib3 Hmm I don't know. I'll be honest, trying to get a response from the Hyundai Press Office has become increasingly harder this year to the point I've given up for the time being.
Like a lot of EV's the strait line speed is impressive but due to their weight numb and heavy around the bends which detracts from being an involving drive. Is the roof fabric or metal and how big was the boot space.

Yeah I did wonder how much weight would be saved if the scissor doors were to be manual as opposed to opened with a motor. Thanks for watching!

Hi Steve! The roof is fabric, and the boot is 249 litres, which I think is impressive for a car like this. Thanks for watching!
